Kim was awesome, super accommodating and a pleasure. We’re going on out of town, but we’ll be back!

Nice place to watch football. Upstairs seating is good for watching football. They have a nice selection of beer. Drinks were reasonably priced and there was a live band. Will be returning. We had a blast playing giant jenga. DJ was perfect for me as well.

I have been to Yard of Ale several times and it is always a fun night! I have put off writing my review for this venue because I have never started a night out at Yard of Ale– which makes it tricky to get the details right. It took me a couple visits for Yard of Ale to grow on me, but my last couple visits have been awesome. Live music playing inside– which is always nice and makes any bar experience better. The band plays right by the front door and their music fills the entire space. There are several bars throughout the space– so if you find a line by the front door, go to the back of the house. I have never had a problem getting a drink back there. The staff are friendly, the drinks are strong, and the venue is excellent. I really like the back courtyard. It nice to be able to split time in doors and out doors, depending on the weather. The last time I was there I was hanging out with some friends in the courtyard and it began to rain. We retreated to the inside and enjoyed the band. It was a great night. This is one of my favorite spots in downtown St. Pete. I recently learned it is a chain– but it does not feel like a chain at all. I was very surprised to learn that it was not an original St. Pete product. It feels more like St. Pete to me than some of the local bars– like Caddy’s.

Awesome bar in St Pete! Huge variety of specials and beers. Love the outdoor patio with cornhole. It’s kind of hidden and that’s why I like it!

It’s sad when your in a customer service driven industry and the customer service is disrespectful. The one thing that can set you apart from the twenty other bars around is friendly attentive service, but that didn’t happen here. I am a local who decided to show my family who had come in a great time. This location had loads of open seating outside, and now I understand why. I walked in with my wife and sister in law to order some drinks in the dead bar around 8pm on a Saturday. I nuzzled up to the bar and was greeted by a rude and nasty bartender who not only didn’t greet us, but decided to fling coasters onto the bar top. I dismissed this as good natured until I decided to say«hello». His response was literally nothing. Not a «good», not a «hey», not even a «yeah». Just a disgusting shrug of the shoulders while staring right through me, kind of like«why did you bother coming into my bar???» I decided not to order and instead left the bar. As I left he finally mustered up a sarcastic«byeeeee!» Pretty much saying I don’t want your business and have a great night. Every person or client that I look forward to endorsing downtown St Pete to, this location will not be on my list.

Great place and friendly staff! Long story short, I was in St. Pete for a business trip and lost a personal item there. When I got home to Maryland, I called and someone turned the item in. After talking to Gina, she graciously mailed me my item back, how awesome is that? I would definitely visit this location if in the area again. Keep up the good work!

Really enjoy this place and its a Buckeyes bar! We stopped in a couple Saturdays ago on a recommendation for an Ohio State game. Did not disappoint. Sound was on and a really cool atmosphere. The bartenders were really cool and drink prices were about right as well. They have a hige outdoor area with some games and really just a good area to chill outside. Pretty large inside area and plenty of tvs for sports. We actually ended up coming back later the same evening since we liked it so much. Glad we found this place and will be returning Saturday for the Buckeyes game!

Yard of Ale was a great alternative to MacDinton’s on First Friday. While they both had a lot of people, there seemed to be much more room at Yard. The outside patio is a great addition as well! Although it smelled like vomit. but I assume that on a normal night it wouldn’t(I hope). The bartender we had was the nicest I encountered all night. He made time to talk despite having a full bar and didn’t make us feel like just another customer among many. There was a live band playing by the time we were leaving and dance music playing over the speakers on the patio. There were also TVs playing the night’s games above the outside bar. On a less crowded night, I’d love to go back and play the games.

Love this bar. It’s unique, hole in the wall with great beer and great service. We stopped by at the end of a Lightning game and only had a few beers, but the service and her were both great. Be sure to go upstairs to «Proof» after your visit here…

I really like that they brought Yard of Ale to St. Pete and I like this location WAYYY better than the Tampa location. This location is less frat-douche and more hipster-haven. The bartenders know what they’re doing and can mix up a great shaken martini, and the liquor selection has some top-notch choices that many of the surrounding bars don’t have. See: St. Germaines. They have live music too! I love the layout of this place because it’s spacious and has a great mix of indoor/outdoor. One of my favorite places to go out now in St. Pete!

Great bar! Went there on a Friday just around dusk and lucky to get a table. Tried the pretzel appetizer and the sliders… both came out quick and hot! Lively place…

The Yard of Ale is an indoor, outdoor bar combination with a dash of cool murals and live music. All in all, a good downtown St. Pete bar, with a lot of tasty beer on tap.

Amazing location for one of many Yard of Ales. Because of the location it’s amazing most any night. Been to karaōke that was really good actually. Again for a Yard of Ale or even bar in general that isn’t a hole in the wall, they also had good prices for drinks.

This is a really awesome bar! I don’t get into St. Pete very often but I would definitely come back to this place. As they say in Step Brothers, «There’s so much room for activities!». That’s a good description of the layout as the inside has plenty of room for a large crowd while the outside has enough room for Corn Hole and other games… I have to improve on my giant Jenga skills however. let’s just say wooden blocks were flying everywhere. The staff seemed friendly enough and there was a wide selection of drinks to choose from. I can definitely see why this is a popular spot.

The Yard of Ale is a fantastic place to hear live music! Every night there is live music to enjoy! There is the Ale and Witch brewery of you prefer craft brews and Wine Madonna for wine lovers. The surroundings are ideal for live music. Every other Sunday you can see the Betty Fox band(amazing blues tunes). If you are a fan of live music look no further! Bonus: Dog friendly! :)

Worst customer service in all of Down Town!!! Accidentally left our tab open with only 2 drinks on it. Called the next day and they confirmed they had our debit card. We went to get it at 6pm on a MONDAY and the bartenders were so rude and looked in the cup and said it wasn’t there. So when we asked if they could double check he went to his friend and rolled his eyes at us like we were asking for something ridiculously hard or something! He came back and said«NOPENOTTHERE, ANDWERETOBUSYANDSOISOURMANAGERTODEALWITHTHIS» and then just turned his back and walked away and chuckled with his other bartender friend! LESSONLEARNEDOBVIOUSLYYOUGUYSARE«TOBUSY» TOGETRETURNCUSTOMERS also unfortunately for you I also work downtown and will be telling this story to everyone that sits in my chair. All it takes is word of mouth in this city.

I love how open it is now. They have an outside area where you can play corn hole or Jenga or have a sit and talk with friends. The Dj was great, very friendly and I loved the old school music he played, it was fun. They have multiple bars so the service is good. I think one of the bars only has certain beers and doesn’t have alcohol because we asked for three different things and she kept telling us she didn’t have it. It would have been helpful if she would have told us she only serves craft beers at that bar or whatever it is she served. We decided to go to the main bar because they had everything at that bar. All the bar staff was very nice and friedly. I saw the manager tell someone he couldn’t go upstairs so I don’t know if they ever have the upstairs open like it was in the past. The place kind of cleared out early maybe around 12 or 1, I’m not sure why. Good place to stop in and have some fun.

Absolutely love the new place! Been here twice now. Once last Saturday night and once tonight. Both times I was very impressed. The place looks amazing. Very spacious. There are 3 bars total. Two are inside and one is in the courtyard area. I just love being in the courtyard! The lighting, wall murals, and surrounding buildings make it beautiful. Both times I was there, people played corn holes and giant Jenga. The drinks are very reasonably priced and they do have daily specials. They also serve food now. Fortunato’s, Burrito boarder, and Joey Brooklyn’s food will be delivered there. All choices range from $ 7 to $ 11. The staff members are also very friendly and personable, even on the busy Saturday night. I will definitely be back and probably very soon. It is becoming one of my favorite spots in dtsp.

I am a fan! This is a bar downtown close to all the fun of MacDinton’s, 501 First, and The Kitchen. Walking in was an entirely new and delightful experience. There’s an indoor bar situation that is actually different-looking from any bars I have been to downtown St Pete. There are also a few bathroom choices(that were clean!). The backyard is even more amazing! It’s completely closed in by walls, but the roof is missing(exciting!). There are tables back there as well as games like Giant Jenga and Bags(which is also know as Cornhole by weirdos). I’ll be honest I don’t recollect the price of he alcohol, but the service was impeccable. It’s so rare to deal with bartenders who actually smile at you and don’t always seemed annoyed, but these guys got it right. I will DEFINITELY be back!
