World Of Beer

I can’t believe no o e has reported this yet but it seems like they are closing. They have almost no inventory Nd as of Tuesday of this week they still have not ordered anything for a month. Apparently the owners lime to sue each other and can’t agree on a price to sell it. What a WASTE!

We stopped in for a beer after dinner around the corner. This place is pretty big, nice open layout with lots of bar seats, tables and outdoor high tops. They had some cool games although we didn’t play. Nice selection of beer and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We sat outside and drank our beer and there was constantly someone roaming around to check on the customers. Only negative thing I saw was the bathroom. Only one toilet in the girls bathroom and there were tons of flies flying around the trash bin. Other than that it was a nice place.

Had an absolute blast finding my favorite beer — Last Snow from funky Buddha. The bar tender went in the back and found us one, called his manager to make sure he was allowed to serve it to us, and she said we could have 1. Great service, fun place and amazing beer selection. Again, I’m all about the service and the service was great!

The name says it all. Location is a bit tricky with one-​way streets if unfamiliar with the area. Lots and lots of both tap and bottled beer from the state, country and world. Friendly staff that seemed to know their stuff. Stopped on a weekday afternoon so probably didn’t get the «full effect». Nice atmosphere.

It’s all right there in the name; World of Beer. Hundreds of beers from all around the planet. A (limited) selection of wine and booze if for some known-​only-​to-​god reason you don’t want brew. The barstaff are, by and large, quite knowledgeable and helpful, provided you’re not a dick. If you want extreme depth of craft beer selection, there are some better locales, but not by much, and WOB’s breadth of global choices is unsurpassed. Prices are a smidge higher than other places, but there’s the convenience of having everything in one place to consider. Tons of tv’s with sports on all the time. Live music some nights, which can actually be kinda loud and irritating sometimes, but the beer’s usually worth the bother. No food, but local restaurants deliver. But hey, there’s food value in beer, but no beer value in food. So drink up, Alice.

Cool place, good beer and drafts changes daily. They have multiple TV screens to catch the game. I had the six point which was a light flavorful crisp beer. I like trying different beer and this is definitely the spot to do it. Too bad there isn’t a place like this back home.

Omg!!! This place sucks… Staff sucks, no knowledge of local beers as well as having them on tap… And just not a friendly experience

The bartenders here are hands down AWESOME im not a beer fan but came in randomly, had a bartender named Jeff who went above and beyond to serve me. Let me sample things and was super informative and attentive. Recommended a honey wine WHICH WAS AWESOME (seriously get it) such a nice bar and nice people.

They have a very wide selection which i like, and when the mood strikes I can just sit there and relax. I mainly go here to start the night off and not be there too long.

My husband and I used to come here more often but in the past couple of months it definitely has gone down hill. We went for trivia which was pretty packed but had to wait for over 20 minutes for someone to come and take our beer order. The service was not the greatest and the staff is always changing. The women’s restroom has 2 bathrooms and 1 was broken. Then went back later both were closed. There was a sign for the women to use the men’s restroom which was super uncomfortable and unprofessional. I waited to go next door to the avenue to use a restroom. The pricing of the beers is also pricey: /

I have never given a place a 1 star review before, but after my experience here Saturday night, 1 star is being generous. I have previously been to other World of Beer locations throughout the Tampa Bay area, and have alaways enjoyed my time there. They usually have a great selection and service. Well, my recent visit here had the selection part, but not the service. I arrived and the place was not too crowded. Plenty of open tables and bar space. I sit up at the bar. No one acknowledges me. Ok, a few more people come to the bar. They are greeted and serviced. Me, nope. No one person greets me, acknowledges me or even comes up to offer me a beer menu. I sat at the bar for 20 minutes and not a single person came to take my order or greet me. There where 2 people that I saw working behind the bar and no one bothers to help me. At this point, I just get up and leave. No point in spending money at an establishment that will not acknowledge or service me. This was not a holiday weekend or First Friday where they are just so packed and busy. I don’t know if it’s because my skin color was not the same as the other patrons or what. I will never visit this WOB again! My advice, go to any of the many other bars/​pubs around, at least you will be acknowledged and serviced. If you must go to WOB, go to any other location in Tampa, not this one. The service sucks!

Okay beers on tap. Out waitress didn’t seem too thrilled on me asking questions. Like the come on hurry up I have no time for this look. Okay. Bathrooms and interior are clean. You can bring your pet inside.

It’s a bar. .. they have more than beer, lots of tv’s, but nothing overly special. Went last Thurs because we had a bogo coupon and got a cider. The server was not sure they had it on tap even though it was on the list, then he came back and said they did and then 5 minutes later said they didn’t then the guy behind the bar yelled out, «which one…» and it turns out they did have it. Hipster vibe and they had a lot of specialty dates coming up like beer and bacon night. I think on the weekends they have a food truck come by.

Busy on a Tuesday. Always a great selection of beers at each location. A bit understaffed behind the bar as service was somewhat slow. But, to their credit, I wouldn’t have expected a full house on Tuesday.
Lacking parking is the only thing that hurts this place.

I am not a fan of World of Beer in general because of how busy and noisy they can be. This location was neither of those during my visit. The thing that made my visit was the beers I was able to have from Cigar City:
— Good Gourd
— The Dark Woods
— Marshal Zhukov
— Puppy’s Breath
AWESOME!!!

Inside and outside seating. Corn hole right outside. Bike rack parking for the locals. Love going there with a group of friends. Always room for everyone. The staff are nice and knowledgeable. They let you try beer on tap before committing. Always have drinks specials, even on the weekends. Sadly, pizza place next door has closed, but one can still order burgers from the Avenue and they are delivered in a timely manner. Sometimes they have live bands and some times they don’t. Many tvs for watching sporting events. I would recommend beer drinkers to come here any time :-)

I was here for UCF alumni event. The selection of bottled beers are less extensive than I expected. However, still had a great time.

We were here the other night for a friends going Away party, the atmosphere is great for large groups and small. There’s tvs everywhere so you can watch a ton of sporting events while you’re there and chill. There’s obviously a ton of beers available which Brandon loves and I’m a fan because they have some yummy ciders! There’s indoor and outdoor seating and some games too! The staff is always friendly and you never have to wait to get another beer! They also give you the option to order food from some of the surrounding restaurants while your sitting there!
The only thing that prevents us from posting five stars is the prices, it’s a little on the expensive side.

The building & staff…
This place is pretty big. Along with indoor seating by the bar and at tables, there are plenty of seats on the very large patio. On that patio, guests have game options such as giant Jenga and giant Connect Four.
The bartenders and servers are great. The live music is always awesome as well.
The drinks…
The possibilities are endless beer-​wise here. Any kind of beer you could possibly want they have. If they don’t have that exact beer, there’s something like it available.
The food…
WOB doesn’t actually serve food, but getting it is possible between food trucks and Wood Fired Pizza.
Overall, it took me a while to come around because the first WOB I ever went to was a small, crappy one in Tampa, but I’ve come to thoroughly love St Pete’s edition.

Why 5 stars? Because it might be my favorite bar of all-​time.

First of all, Let it be said that I think I have found my favorite beer of all-​time at World of Beer. It’s called Grimbergen Dubbel, and it’s wonderful.
Oh how my life has changed when it comes to beer. Before our very eyes, I think I’m really beginning to appreciate the suds of life. Once, strictly a Mich Ultra drinker, now a Belgium snob. I’ve even looked up Belgium on a map recently to see where it’s exactly located because I think I want to visit Belgium after enjoying their beer so much.,
What an absolutely incredible selection, I applaud my friends at the WOB for starting this venture. It couldn’t have been easy, but man… is it awesome. I have no idea how many beers they actually have, but it’s over 100, I would think. I’ve tried almost all of the Belgium beers on tap in my two visits. I will go back… and I will finish my assignment to dominate this Western Europe’s inventory.
