Even though this place had a *bit* of an issue finding a table large enough for our group, they were more than happy to accommodate us and that makes me happy. A group of 10 is easy seatable if you come early before a game and reserve some space. The food is pretty good. A bit higher quality than typical bar food but the prices are still the same as other bars; yummy and good for your wallet. The beer was cheap and our server was OK quick. He could have been around more, but there was clearly a ton of people in the bar for the Michigan game, so he was stretched pretty thin. There’s a parking lot right next to this place and prices are reasonable, so just leave your car there(it’s easier than trying to find street parking). This bar is in a cute little area of St. Louis that has a lot of other bars and restaurants, so there’s tons of stuff for you to do if you’re so inclined.

Came to this restaurant to watch a certain game. We waited at the door for just a tad too long, you know when you ask yourself if you seat yourself or keep waiting? Finally got sat and asked the waitress to put it on and she said she would then she took our drink orders. After about 15 minutes she came back with our drinks and told me they didn’t have the package yet that the game was on, but they were getting it soon. So that was a bummer. We ordered our food after looking over a menu that was boring. After about ten minutes our food came and we were all extremely disappointed with what came. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and it was dry and bland. The Mac and cheese tasted like it was out of a box and the cheese was watered down and almost powdery. Our waitress was Jasmin and she was pleasant, but the only one working? We rarely saw her through the night and when we were finished eating it took her another 10 – 15 minutes to get back to our table. I would come here for a drink and to watch a game on a local channel, but never for food again. Everything tasted like it was store bought or frozen.

Food is ok. It always feels like they are short staffed. Whoever is supposed to be the host is almost never there. The food is ok, but not typical bar food only which is why I like it. My servers have always been great. No problem there! Only one problem: people bring their screaming kids there a lot.

Cool sports bar in the CWE. Nice atmosphere. The food is terrible and the service is just ok. If u are here to drink then it might not be so bad. I won’t be back tho.

We had our son & daughter-in-law’s rehearsal dinner at Lester’s last weekend. It was the perfect beginning to a wonderful wedding weekend. The Staff here were incredible from the planning stages to the actual event. We had about 150 people at the event and the Staff made sure everyone was well taken care of. The food was delicious! Everyone had a wonderful time. A special thanks to the general manager, Nicholas, and to Chef Tim! Thanks again for an AWESOME party! Dave & Vicki Schneider

Lesters is great rooftop bar with good American food. Great happy hour food & drink specials. I celebrated a dear friend close like a sister to me birthday there yesterday. I called ahead to make sure the rooftop was open. The guy who answered said yes. When we got there the hostess said it was not cause they were no umbrella were out for a cleaning. I spoke with manager on duty Sheila Roberts and explained the situation and how important it was to celebrate the bnirthday on the roof and she opened up the roof for us. It was lovely, quiet and our waitress red head Jasmine as we nicked named her was excellent. The mgr even honored the free house peeled & cooked potatoe chips that we asked for that was on the menu that none of the workers knew what we were talking about. LESTER’S ISGREAT!

Pretty standard as far as modern sports bars go. More screens than are probably necessary, but whatever. Good service at the bar; bonus points because the bartender let my friend use her phone charger. With nothing bad to report, I’m sure I’ll be back.

I dined at the bar eating BBQ salad with beef brisket and accompanied it with a hard cider. The bartender and the manager both attended to me and ensured I had a satisfactory experience. This place is similar to most sports bars I’ve been to and I’ve not disliked any of them. They offer what I’m used to and familiarity was what I was looking for this particular evening.

I have eaten here twice and ordered something different each time. Both times the food was decent and the prices average. When you first walk in — you might think your service will be great. The manager runs up to greet and seat you. However, the customer service is downhill from there.

I don’t know, I’ve tried to like this place with its sleek counters and clean windows but the food just isn’t very good. I’ve been a few time, had bbq, burger, fish, etc. None of it was just wow. In fact, I felt let down every time. I’m not going to go back. I can do better than that at home. I think the main problem with the food is that the ingredients are pretty standard. Nothing seems to be fresh. Frozen food, fried dishes that are too greasy, etc. Everything tasted bland but also greasy or over salted. There are better choices around town. If you’re looking for a place to have brewskies and slam down a few greasy appetizers this place would probably be spot on though!

Lester’s is a great place to watch a game. Have watched a few football games here with friends, as well as the World Series games. The atmosphere is good, and it’s not too loud. It’s also pretty spacious and because of that is doesn’t have a long wait. Food is good, above average for bar food I’ve had. The portions are huge, and the fries are excellent. I always take half my food home. Drink specials can be lacking, but they have a pretty good variety so you can find something you want. Friends and I always get buckets to split. Service is fine, hit or miss. First time I came we had an excellent waiter, and past few have been just okay but a little inattentive. Management is happy to help or take Unilocal discounts, which they offer through this app. Decent place overall to watch a game with friends, and I’ll keep coming back!

Went with a group of 7 from work for lunch. Looks like a great place to watch the games and have a few beers. My smoked turkey wrap was excellent. Also shared a large bowl of matzo ball soup. Actually was very good for a restaurant version. I’ve had some in the past which were awful. The fish sandwich was ordered by some of my colleagues and it looked really good. Very large piece of tempura battered cod on a bun. Reasonable priced. Through a Unilocal check in, I also received 20% off the total order.

Lester’s is a great sports bar with some good food and the service is pretty great too! This location of Lester’s is pretty great since it is in the CWE and there are tons of other places to visit all within walking distance after your meal. I usually have to walk around a bit after I eat since I typically tend to over-eat. I think my eyes are definitely bigger than my stomach when I come here. Have you had their potato salad? You need to. I order that as a side no matter what… it’s a necessity. They have good wings and I do recommend the turkey sandwich since I get that most times I visit. I have had good experiences with service sitting outside, inside, and in the bar area; I haven’t had a chance to check out the upstairs rooftop, but maybe I can try that this summer? Lester’s is a good sports bar and it has always been my go to place when I don’t know where else to go when I want to watch a game.

Definitely a fan of this place. Great food, atmosphere & place to watch the game. They typically have at least a couple different games on and will turn on a specific game if you ask them. I usually grab a table right next to the bar and have never sat anywhere else in there. I have never had bad food here and the staff is very friendly. Perfect place to meet up with friends for happy hour as well.

Five stars to the bar who carried every Baylor game when I was living in St. Louis for a month! Five stars to the bar who not only put the game on the TV nearest me, but who also kept it on that channel when nearby Mizzou fans asked that it be changed :) Five stars to the bar who has so many TVs, EVERYONE has the opportunity to watch whatever he or she wants. And lastly, five stars to the bar with Delirium Tremens on tap. Yup. If you couldn’t tell, I’m a big fan of this place. It’s a perfect sports bar, with tons of TVs, a very wide beer selection, and a menu full of bar food and snacky-snacks.

Had a pulled chicken sandwich that was pretty good. On a busy night with Monday night football it took a long time for the food to come. But it’s a awesome place to catch a sporting event.

It’s a sleeper pick for BBQ and colossal stuffed deli sandwiches in addition to being a great spot to catch a game. Tucked away behind Culpepper’s and Brennan’s across the street from Starbuck’s– you might miss this place if you’re not on the lookout. It’s obviously a great spot to watch a game– bar seating is plentiful and there are high top tables around the entire bar area. Also great for nights when you don’t want to brave the crowds at Sub-Zero and just want to grab a drink where you can reach the bar. The Turkey Rueben is a mainstay in our diet because we live nearby– fries here are crispy and thinly cut. Anything BBQ is also solid. On a nice day, hard to beat the upstairs patio or bar for a chance to enjoy the weather AND watch your team. They have a good takeout menu if you want to call it in and enjoy in the comfort of your own home too. Cardinals fans will love the statue out front and portrait inside the door of Stan the Man.

Several friends and I went to Lester’s over the weekend and we had a nice time. The atmosphere is clean and friendly. The wait staff is nice and accommodating– they even changed the station on a tv nearby so we could watch a football game, even though the Cards were playing at the same time. Every table has a view of multiple tvs so it is a great choice for a crowd interested in watching multiple games. I had a chicken quesadilla, my boyfriend had a black and blue burger and we shared some buffalo chicken wings. All were better than typical sports bar food but not outstanding. They have decent drink specials and offer several St Louis craft beers, which is an upscale shift from other sports bars in the CWE. We had a nice afternoon, but the bill was pretty expensive and the manager gave us a hard time when we pulled over an empty table for some friends who were joining us. It seemed like things were a bit hectic because the Cards were playing, but I would prefer better service in the future.

3.5 Stars Pretty good overall. They were a bit busy and not totally staffed so service was a little off and lagging. I had a Avery IPA, stoked to see this on the draft list as we cant get it in Cali. I had the Reuben and it was yummy, bread was a little over buttery but oh well. Fries were nice and shoestring like, a little over salted but its a bar and you’re supposed to be drinking so this wasnt a total shocker. I really liked the ranch they had it was original and real good. My wife had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and said it was real good as well. I’d go again

I agree with Aimee K’s review– when it comes to sports bars, Lester’s in the best spot in town for watching the game. They consider themselves to be an «upscale» bar – and I would agree. The restaurant is very clean, chic and has no shortage of TVs. It’s very easy to get a table and they servers are easy to please. They are very willing to change the channel to a game your interested in watching. The food is pretty standard for a sports bar– fried, battered and greasy and a little overpriced. You are definitely going to Lester’s for the game experience rather than the food.

When it comes to sports bars, Lester’s does it for me. I’m always impressed by the quality of the food, and they literally have anything I’ve ever wanted while watching a game on the menu. There’s a ton of space at this location, too, so it’s highly likely you can get a table right when you walk in. I still haven’t checked out the rooftop(lame of me, I know) because I usually just grab a table next to the bar. You can see TV’s in every direction and sometimes they’ll have multiple games playing at once. I’m crazy about their corned beef, but on my most recent visit I went for something I’ve been craving lately: chicken fingers. These things were perfect. Absolutely huge, perfectly cooked and crispy, and I loved the honey mustard sauce that came along. My lunch partner got the chicken quesadilla which was also fantastic, and came with tons of pico de gallo and was actually a little spicy(which earns a thumbs up for me.) I’ve had tons of other menu items as well and they always hit the spot. Only gripe I have: our server had a badittude. We weren’t drinking alcohol because we did the night before(ouch) so besides our food, we just had coffee and water. We sat at our table for a couple hours since we were watching football, but there were a ton of other tables open so we knew we weren’t taking up someone’s spot. We clearly annoyed the crap out of her for wanting to sit there for a while, and my question to her would be… what do you expect?! Everyone was there to watch the game. Sorry I didn’t feel like boozing it up but we still ordered food, so I don’t get the snobbery. Regardless, she didn’t ruin our time by any means & I’ll still go back for sure. Lester’s is a reliable spot to watch the game & you can count on good food alongside a great view of the TV.
