Applebee’s

Lunch after a doctor’s appt. across the street made sense. Caesar salad, french onion soup, onion rings, water. All came out at once, which is fine. Didn’t designate one way or the other (but wasn’t asked if I had a preference, either). Caesar was barely above room temp. I’m sorry, but like most folks, I like my lettuce to be chilled. The soup was meh. Not great, not bad. The onion rings were plentiful and tasty, though swimming in a pool of grease at the bottom of the plate. What was really nasty was the ketchup bottle. Funk everywhere. It was gross and nearly empty. I gave it to the server and she agreed that it was nasty and brought be a clean, full one. Waited for her to refill my water… and waited… and waited. Never happened and they weren’t that busy. Everyone was nice, but the attention to detail was a major fail.

Had a work happy hour here. We sat at the bar, Mike (Tyson) took great care of us even though it was super busy at 4p on a Thursday. He was a great bartender and knew us by name by the time we left. Happy hour is 3 – 6 and there are drink specials and half off certain appetizers. It took a little while (30 minutes) to get our food, but it was nice and hot when it did come. Mike had to let the kitchen staff know to add my side salad to the order; it didn’t come with my food and I had to point it out. Drinks were good.

This is the worst Applebee’s of all time. Everyone who works there is slow and incredibly rude. It takes them forever to do anything because the employees are all lazy. The restaurant is frequently dirty. No.

I rarely write reviews but I don’t understand how the Chopped chicken fiesta salad is one way in ALL the other Applebee’s I have been to. But it’s a bowl of lettuce with very little toppings in this particular location. The side fries I ordered comes in a bowl in ALL other locations but comes in a small McDonald’s like paper bag in this particular location. Half the size but the same price! I am probably never going to return to this particular location. There was no staff at the door I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come by the Order pick up counter to just hand me my order that was sitting across the counter from me. My experience with the service, as well as the food was absolute horrible.

My husband and I were staying at the hotel it’s located in and we decided to try it out. We open the door and it takes the hostess a couple minutes to seat us. She starts to seat us in one location and changes her mind, tells us our waitress will be right with us and leaves. We watch a waitress come by check on a table and leave. We think she’s our waitress. Another two tables get seated and she goes to both of those. I finally get her attention and she claims she’s not its but will take our order anyway (we had been sitting for 15 min). Get our order in, twenty min later while we are still waiting, another waitress walks up and asks if we’ve got our order in. We say yes and she walks off. Find out from her talking loudly to the girl who took our order that she was supposed to be our waitress and that we were in her section. Awkward. Finally get our food and a couple of the waitresses are continuing to fuss at each other and a stack of plates are left next to our table the entire time we were there. We only had drinks and an app luckily. We weren’t the only ones to have that issue and it was a Saturday night.

We were almost discouraged due to negative reviews, but we had a nice and friendly waiter. We chose this place because the are quite close to where we lived at the time. We had a nice dinner and I have no complaints.

Let me start by saying I have never returned a meal at a restaurant… until tonight. I got a gift card and this Applebee’s is located in the hotel I was staying at. I was by myself so I was seated quickly. My server was nice, but was either new or inexperienced. I ordered the 7oz steak medium rare. It came in an appropriate amount of time. It was cooked like I ordered it, but the quality was unbelievably poor. I have purchased steaks from the big chain grocery stores that were much better. I ordered the cheapest steak so that may be part of it, but I will never order it again. After returning it for something else I got food that was edible 45 min later. I ordered a desert when I ordered the steak. I ended up asking for it to go. All in, I was there 1 hour and 45 minutes! It wasn’t that busy from what I could tell. There is no reason for 1 person to be in a restaurant that long. Very bad experience. If I got another gift card I would not go back and I definitely wouldn’t pay for it. Stay away. Go somewhere else.

This place is the worst. The first time I decided to try it a fight literally bring out on the restaurant. The staff didn’t even apologize for this. The food is bad quality sign small portions. The worst experience in the cwe

Horrible restaurant. Food is terrible. It’s not a clean place. The lack of customer service is almost as bad as their food. The Customers that frequent this place are sketchy, shady, rude and no respect for the neighborhood. They park up and down the streets, and hang out at their cars playing loud rap music and toss their Applebee’s food, cups, napkins and trash in our yard and on the streets where they sit. I am very tired of this restaurant with no regard for the CWE, along with the people that frequent it. I suggest anyone looking for a quiet, nice, respectful, decent restaurant, to go over one street where you have Wildflowers, Taste, Brasserie etc.

Horrible horrible. We waited for ten minutes for a hostess to seat us and the place was not busy but there was no one to be found ever person working just walked past and ignored our presence. when we finally got seated the restaurant only had about 45 minutes before closing we ordered a drink and some appetizers then our waitress did not come back for awhile. When we finally got her attention to order another drink she I formed us that last call had already been made. It was 1030 pm. No one ever informed us. This was the worst Applebee s experience I have ever had and I am a big fan. I will never go back no matter how desperate

The other negative reviews I’ve read about this place are spot on. SPOT ON.
I had some friends come in town and we all planned to go out for drinks. A few of us were hungry beforehand and the only thing we could decide on was something that was cheap. Applebee’s seemed perfect. We could even get a margarita or something with dinner. Unfortunately, the only nice thing I can think to say about this place was that the spinach artichoke dip was hot… like it should be.
Before we even got there, I called to ask if we’d need a reservation since we were a group of 6 or so. They said no. So we came expecting to be seated immediately. There was a wait because there was another large group ahead of us. So we waited. Then we were asked if it was ok if we were seated at separate tables across from each other because they couldn’t accommodate all of us at one table. I asked if it they were close to each other and the waiter had my entire group follow him through the restaurant to ask if that seating would do. The tables were nearly across the room from each other so no. Then he took us to another section of the restaurant, again parading us all behind him… how awkward. We finally just asked if we could combine tables together — something we had to do ourselves.
Some orders were wrong, some drinks were just outright bad, they were watered down, food was cold, the waiter sat down across the booth to order, tables on the other end were still dirty… Just a mess. We sent orders back so many times that we were nervous it would come back with spit or something.
I like Applebee’s, just not this one. I’ll never come here again. You shouldn’t either.

1 star for our server. This is the most ghetto Applebee’s I’ve ever been to. Our server was good and even offered her a job at my restaurant to take her out if her misery (poor girl) Even had a bum ask us for money while sitting on the patio. Never ever will I be back unless I’m in the mood to watch a ghetto shit show and laugh.

Ok. Let me try to be nice. This Applebee’s is about 3 minutes from my house.
Which under most circumstances would be a good thing, but when I tell you I would drive 20 miles before I return to this location. I will be honest Applebee’s is not on my list of restaurants, however I have a cousin who loves it. So every now and then I will go with her to pick up something, and EVERY time there is always something wrong. It’s never packed, so I just don’t understand why they can’t get the simplest orders right. But this might be why it’s never packed lol. Over the last two years, I have ordered something from there three times and every time I had to follow up with a phone call because something was missing or the food was terrible. The managers are always apologetic, but that does not help my stomach or return my time. This time I got a simple dessert and they could not get that right. I was so upset, because it just does not make sense. They serve the same thing over and over and can not get it right. I will not even talk about how it is when you dine in. I’m convinced, they just need to close. Just close, because the people working there do not care enough to bring this restaurant up to standards.

Sometimes I just feel like casual dining for lunch, so the coworkers and I decided on Applebee’s. Big mistake! I did carryout, parking was a nightmare since it’s inside the hotel, once I finally parked and ran in to pick up the food I waited at the bar to be acknowledged for about five minutes, and then spent another five minutes waiting for the food that was sitting on the bar getting cold. The fun really began when I got back to work, all the food was cold and soggy and to top it off we were missing half of two separate people’s meal. So how does Applebee’s fix this issue? They mail you a credit to use at their specific location, because yeah, we really want to eat there again, ugh.

I have to agree, the service was poor. I had to get up and go to the bar for a refill and to get and pay my check so I could get back to work. The food was good. Had an American BLT that was slopped together but still good, and the potato soup which was also good. I’ll look elsewhere to eat the rest of the week.

The problem is the service. This was at noon. Overheard «Rocky» describing how drunk he was last night. How he spent the hours prior to work throwing up. He told a table this prior to ordering. How hung over he was. He reeked of alcohol. Since when should a server sit down across from you to take your order? What ever happened to boundaries? Keep in mind this place is used by people who have very sick family in the hospital across the street.

OK, I’m not trying to be nasty here. I went into this particular Applebee’s because I was staying in the hotel it is attached to and I simply felt like something with pasta in it that night. It is right off the lobby of the hotel and I did not feel like going out anyplace.
When I go to a chain place like this I am not expecting fancy dining or anything like that. I am expecting typical stuff of predictable quality. What I was not expecting was to be seated at a table and told that my waitress would be right along. I sat there for ten+ minutes (I checked my watch…) as various waitresses zipped by serving other customers. I flagged one of them down, who apologized and said she would get my waitress for me. After 5 more minutes, I walked out. It was not particularly busy (about 7PM on a Sunday evening) and less than half the tables were being used.
Not sure what the problem was, but I went down the street to the Majestic and ate. They served me there.

This Applebee’s is alright. It’s not bad except that sometimes parking can be a pain. Sean and I came here one lazy afternoon to grab a burger, a salad, and a drink or two for me. The drink was a white peach sangria and it was really really weak. I ordered two and barely «felt it.» May be bad or good depending on who you are. ;)
Service was good although she brought out our check before we told her we were done… what if we had wanted dessert? I guess we looked full, lol.
I love the airplane memorabilia on the wall and the cockpit poster.

It’s passable. They generate their business from people visiting the hospital so it’s not like they try real hard. Food is sometimes cold and if you don’t speak up the waitress’s will try and seat you next to the kitchen and bathrooms. They are always screaming at each other in the kitchen, much worse than a waffle house on a bad night.

Every time I go here, I manage to slip past the door guards undetected. While that would be a useful skill during my pre-​21 days, now it just means I have to hunt for a person authorized to seat me. However, once that business is taken care of, the service is more normalized and the food is quite tasty.
