I went over to the to-go counter to ask for a napkin and the Asian woman working the counter was just so incredibly rude to me, saying napkins were only for customers and that I should have thought about it when I got my food else where. It’s a freaking napkins. If You’re trying to save a fraction of a penny then your business must be doing really bad. It makes me sad how cruel people can be.

1 star for the service and 1 star for the beer. Server was friendly, but don’t expect much in regards to the food.

They are really not trying at all. Probably fine if all you want is some kind of light beer. Food sucks, plastic silverware. At least use compostable silverware if you are going to do that.

Hm, well as far as airport bars go, I have been in better ones. Our flight was delayed by about 5 hours, so we wanted to go somewhere maybe a little less expensive than the first place we came across, since we had some serious time to kill. But it’s not cheap anywhere in SF, and especially not in the airport. We wanted dinner as well. Unfortunately, the server never checked with us, so when I flagged him down, to order food(we even got menus from him earlier, so it’ snot like he had no clue we were interested in food), the kitchen was closing and the only thing they were willing to make was cold sandwiches or salads. So, it was disappointing, but again, we were just there to kill time on a flight delay. The highlight of our visit is that we saw Marcus Allen standing by the entrance and took a picture with him.

My wife and i ordered two burgers from their express to-go counter and were told it would be 10 minutes wait. We were having the burgers cooked to medium, which is not a long cook time but we said whatever. When we looked around we realized the airport didn’t number things in order and our gate was at the other end of the terminal. So we asked how much longer. The cashier told us it was 15 more minutes. We’d waited nearly 10 already and when we pointed out that she said 10, she got very argumentative with us. A burger should never take over 10 minutes to cook, no matter what. Least of all if it’s only being cooked medium. Now aside from the kitchen issues, customer service was awful. She didn’t want to help us, she delayed taking our order because she was talking to her coworker. She didn’t know how to operate the register. She shooed my wife away when she was trying to get the manager to help us cancel our order. And all while we were dealing with the manager to get our refund, her and her coworker continued to argue and speak with the cook in their native language(Korean i think). This was one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever had. Avoid this place like the plague. The food might be good, we don’t know. But it’s just not worth subjecting yourself to this level of bullshit.

Bad. So, so bad. I was here yesterday during my two hour layover, and when I sat down at the bar the bartender looked at me like I was inconveniencing him. He did not greet me at all, but abruptly said«what do you need?» instead. Anyway, all I «needed» was a mimosa, and thank goodness I ordered it when I did because the woman who ordered a mimosa right after I did, was turned down because they ran out of champagne… at 8am on a Friday! I was also told that I needed to move my bag because it was in the way. I wasn’t asked to move my bag, and I wasn’t offered assistance. I get it, it’s an airport bar, but none of the employees really care or treat you like you’re a customer. Also, the layout of the bar is strange. There are about six seats, and one of them is separated from the rest of the bar by a trash can, which is an extremely odd design. There are plenty of other bars at this airport. I will not be back.

Can I rate it zero stars? Negative stars? Food is beyond terrible. The chopped salad isn’t even remotely as described. Wilted does not do it justice. It isn’t even chopped. The buffalo wings are dramatically over cooked fried chicken with a side of sauce. Prisoners fed this stuff would have a legitimate case under the cruel and unusual punishment clause. The service is even worse than the food. Indifference has found its mate in incompetence in an unholy union. Towards the end of our dining experience they closed to new customers for the night. I have never before wished my flight to have been delayed past closing time.

Good service, terrible food. Avoid this restaurant. While the wait staff was friendly and attentive, the food was not at all good. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and it was very tough and chewy. Also had a cup of the clam chowder and it was so watered down I could not keep it on the spoon.

I had the misfortune of stopping through here on my visit to SFO recently. The hostesses were super friendly — one of them even tracked me down when I misplaced my boarding pass. However, the food and beverage offerings were… well…lacking. For starters, Gordon Biersch labels itself as a brewery, yet the beer was improperly chilled and flat. I tried one or two different options and they were all the same. I recall wondering how a brewery could possibly have flat beer? I figured it might just be my keg, so I ordered a different beer and experienced the same issue. So — perhaps it could have been an issue with the offerings, but, after visiting some of the other offerings in the mall afterward, I’d recommend passing this by until it gets refreshed and finding a newer option.

It sucks having to write something negative, but if there were a .5 this place would win that award! Tables dirty, service s little slow(not too big of s deal it is an airport), but when you get a plate of food you order with leftovers from the pervious customer. That’s where I say no! In top of the whole thing the waitress actually said in exact words«it’s just leftover strawberries from a deserts»… Ummm no thank you. Whether or not if it were strawberries or a full basket of fries the fact that they actual made it seem it were ok to serve someone a plate of food with remains of the last meal from who knows how long is pretty gross! I ordered a beer at first in a steaming hot glass that so happened to have dirty marks on it I didn’t complain then since I thought to myself«it’s clean and hit and only water marks» but getting the plate of food with old food on it was the last straw of hell no will I ever come back! If your hungry and desperate I advise you check your plates, cups and bowls! Nobody wants to get somebody else’s leftover saliva and food bits. The thought of it still makes me roll my eyes they thought it was no big deal.

Overpriced food as usual. They screw ya big in the airports but… the burgers were nice sized and ample and they were delish. We shared a Caesar’s Salad that was also a comfortable size and quite fresh tasting. So… maybe it wasn’t so bad… yikes! The price though!

They have about six or seven Gordon Biersch beers on tap, ranging from pilsner to marzen to IPA. If you do not want a Gordon Biersch brew, they have a nice selection of bottled beer, in fact very nice considering that it is a hole-in-the-wall bar in the airport. What is even better, while they do have some old standby’s, most of the bottles were some very solid beers that someone who knows beer clearly took the time to pick out. I had the bratwurst, which was tasty and ready in three or four minutes. The only down check, the server seemed kind of bored and showed almost no sense of urgency. Fortunately, I had time before my plane. I will be back next time I fly out of Oakland.

This is a good place to have located next to your gate. It’s not incredible, but as far as airport places go I enjoyed it. The beer is the gem at this place(obviously). I had the Märzen and the SommerBrau. Both were excellent. You get a big pint for $ 10. Not a bargain, but the quality is great and I’ve paid more for a shitty beer in many other airports. I had the chicken sandwich with garlic fries. The fries were excellent. The chicken sandwich was ok. The food is passable but just focus on the beer and you’ll be ok.

Do not come here if you want good food(the $ 18.00 tacos had no cheese and the rice and beans were totally bland; no hot sauce except Tabasco – come on, it’s San Francisco, not Fargo!), good service(the servers looked like they could barely walk and they definitely couldn’t smile, at least not at the customers, although there were always at least 3 – 4 of them plainly visible in the side room chatting away), or if you have a connection less than an hour away. It took them 10 min to wait on me and another 10 to get the food – in an airport restaurant that was half full. The only bright spot was the very personable bartender. Otherwise, a complete waste of time and money.

I mean, it’s an airport restaurant. It’s going to be kind of awful. It was cramped, it was loud, it was crowded. The food was super mediocre, not up to par of the regular Gordon Biersch restaurants, which are nothing too special to begin with. Three stars only because our waitress, a thin fiftysomething Caucasian female, was an absolute sweetheart. Five stars for her, one for everything else, so three because fair is fair.

Sadly, the food here was no better than one of the fastfood chains elsewhere in the airport, and not worth the price. The chicken ceasar salad was very skimpy with their chicken as with their fish tacos. We ordered it take-out to take onto the plane so can’t speak to their sitdown options.

Yuck. Don’t. Even if it’s convenient, don’t. And if you do, don’t say I didn’t warn you. Kobe burger appeared to be no where near Kobe. Look at the pic, it was definitely a frozen patty. The only reason I stopped in here was because it was right next to my gate and I didn’t have much time. I should have went without food. The service and cleanliness of the place was all around questionable as well. Come on, I know it’s an airport but give some life to what you do, ya know? So, needless to say, left unhappy and still hungry. Le sigh.

Mmmmm delicious. …is what you’re thinking before you actually taste the food. After, it’s more like«mmmmmm should have gone to that diner». Honestly though, that they actually have a stove is a legitimate question. The staff, however, is exceptionally nice and accommodating. You guys rock and the three stars are literally only due to your efforts.

Food: If I had to rate this place based on just what I ordered, I would only give it 1 star. I had the Kobe Cheeseburger cooked medium and a Märzen. That was a pretty mediocre burger. It came back well done and it tasted like it was from somebody’s backyard BBQ cooked by a rookie. It was much worse than eating a Big Mac from McDonald’s and about 3 – 4 more times expensive. At least it came with garlic fries. Even the fries came out well done. The quality of the food was just not up to par of a normal non-airport Gordon Biersch. Service: Service was okay. She wasn’t overly friendly but she got the job done. The couple in the table next to me thought the waitress was mad at them. Bottom line: Don’t order their«Kobe» Cheeseburger. Find some place else to eat at in the airport.

I used to happy hour once a week at the GB in Miami, so anytime I see one, I have to stop in. I ordered my old favorites, the blackened mahi mahi sandwich with garlic fries and a Martzen. Both tasted exactly as I remember, super delicious. I was able to kill an hour or so here while waiting for another flight to get in. The server was a very nice older lady who offered some recommendations for me in the neighborhood I was staying in in San Francisco. The service was fast and attentive. Great place to kill some time at SFO!
