I find myself stopping here after than other options have been exhausted. The beer is cold, the food is average for an airport but it seems a little less busy and a little more quiet and that’s just fine with me. Large, wrap-a-round bar with room for about 20 and seating all about. 3 TVs to catch news, sports and whatever else might be uninteresting. Don’t like their beer? No problem. Full bar and Miller Lite can help you through your delayed connection. There’s to-go food too of your running for the flight.

Gross. Paid $ 15 for a very mediocre burger and it didn’t even come with real cutlery, only a plastic fork. There are much better deals elsewhere in the terminal, eg. Mission Bar and Grill near gate 61 has similar food, similarly priced but feels way more upscale /worth the money.

I love Anchor Steam beer, but this airport restaurant does the brand a disservice. Here you’ll find below average food and very expensive beer. Unless you are intent on drinking this local, San Francisco beer at the airport, I’d recommend finding somewhere else to eat and drink. Or at least eat. There was a time when«boutique beers» were worth paying extra for, but I feel strongly with the expansion of smaller, boutique breweries and micro breweries, paying a lot for beer is wrong. For a while it seemed that airport businesses were trying to fall in line with their off airport counterparts but lately as I’ve been traveling I’ve noticed more and more that airports are remindful of Austin-Bergstrom — low quality offerings with ridiculously high prices. Of course the fact that you can’t bring liquids with you anymore is a big plus for these vendors who take advantage of travelers by charging exorbitant prices. If I didn’t love Anchor Steam beer so much I’d have given this establishment one star.

This place really sucks. The only thing that keeps it from a one Unilocal star fate is the fact that it has several tables right on the window with awesome runway views. If you’re an aviation nerd, you’ll do just fine nursing on a couple of beers while you watch the birds fly. The food is terrible. If I hadn’t been starving, I may have not eaten it(and know that I eat any and everything). The glasses smell musty like they had been washed with a mildew-laiden rag. Gross. The Anchor Steam on tap is good, but not good enough to make up for everything else.

Just because airport restaurants CAN charge just about whatever they want for low quality food doesn’t mean that they SHOULD. I think Anchor beers are generally pretty good, but in no circumstance is a pint of Anchor worth $ 10. Food is equally overpriced, and also not particularly high quality. Service was slow and lackluster. One employee was going back and forth between helping customers and eating sushi that she had brought in from another establishment. I think that’s pretty telling, both of the quality of service and the quality of food. If you think a beer and a burger is worth $ 25+, by all means stop by. Otherwise I’d look fro other options.

Never will I ever step foot in this place again. My boyfriend and I came here to get some food before our flight. We decided to sit at the bar and grab some drinks along with our food. The service was mediocre. The pomegranate martini I ordered was absolutely disgusting. I don’t even know how you would mess that up. The only decent food item on the menu was their clam chowder. It kind of tasted like it was from a can, but at least it wasn’t disgusting. Their untouchable fries and buffalo wings on the other hand were just that, disgusting! Literally, 7 – 11 has better wings than theirs. Ugh! I’m sooo angry that we ended up paying $ 60 for food that I didn’t even enjoy. Overall Never again and I definitely don’t recommend it.

I’d rate them higher if they actually had a better option of beers for someplace calls ‘BREWING’!!! VERY small option of beers, but the crab cake was heavenly :) And the entertainment of the people and the service was pretty good hehe

Airport food, enough said. Ok, I guess I will write a little more. The best part about this is place is they carry multiple types of Anchor Brew not just Anchor Steam. Otherwise, it’s aight. I think for weekends they should carry more of a brunch menu and at least service breakfast to 11am. I understand that I’m asking a lot for an airport restaurant. I just don’t like traveling on a Sunday for work, so little things like breakfast to 11am will make my mimosa slightly more enjoyable. Mimosas and reubens aren’t the best combo, but you gotta do what ya gotta do.

This restaurant at SFO is not owned by Anchor Brewing but has all the Anchor varieties of beer. Had a mid morning flight and went here for breakfast; a big breakfast burrito. Very good! it came with FRESH guacamole, along with sour cream and salsa. Not exactly cheap, but very good.

Typical overprices airport food. The chicken quesodilla was decent enough if you are hungry. Not the best one you will ever have, but it’s an airport.

Our server was slammed which unfortunately affected her to be hurried and inattentive with our drinks. I got a terrific porter whose malty yet tart taste I found fulfilling. They serve their beers in HUGE glasses likely a 20 or 24oz. The price although high at $ 8.75 is about average for an airport so overall it’s a good deal.

Solid place for not-so-cheap airport food. Service is efficient and the crab melt(first time ever having eaten anything like this) was quite tasty albeit not-for-calorie-counters or anyone looking for light fare. I added a bowl of clam chowder(I was really hungry) that was pretty good but could have been hotter. Service was OK – not intrusive but I had to wait longer than I liked for drink/food order and refills.

Average food for but good beers. I had the Reuben which was an average Reuben. The french fries were supposed to be parm fries but tasted like regualr french fries. I really enjoyed the Anchor Porter. Go here for the beers and a quick bite.

Can’t put on a rating on the price; it’s airport food people. Reuben sandwich was a little thin compared to what I’m used to. The beer is definitely what you should be coming here for. Better than stopping at Chilis or something.

My rating scale is a little different in airports – it HAS to be, because they are like their own little cities where mediocrity is incredibly expensive. That said, in Airportland(ia?), Anchor Steam Brewing Company is *almost* as good as it gets. My husband and I made it to SFO with about 90 minutes to spare before a flight, and we wanted to get some lunch. Seeing the Anchor Steam logo on the directory was like a beacon of hope in a sea of sandwich vending machines. We sat ourselves, and while it could have been tight with our carry-ons and personal items, it wasn’t because the place wasn’t busy, and the layout was easy to navigate. Our server was as pleasant as can be. Truly hospitable, even though she was working. On New Year’s Eve. In an airport. And I was impressed with the options on the menu(though I still had some sticker-shock), and my French dip was surprisingly good. I even ate all of my fries. My husband’s sandwich looked to be made with only the freshest ingredients(confirmed when I ate his alfalfa sprouts), and his beer was good, too! While airport dining is nothing special, Anchor Steam in SFO is the perfect place to celebrate your freedom from a long holiday week with your family.

Arriving at Terminal 3 with some time to kill, I settled on Anchor Steam Brewco because I love their beer. I was delighted to find that they have a winter seasonal ale on tap, and I wasn’t disappointed. Make sure if you’re drinking you pay the extra dollar for the large size, it’s worth it. Food wise it was average– I payed about $ 15 for a bbq burger, and it didn’t do anything other than fill me up. I was hoping for a high five and a hug, but alas, no luck. I’d probably come here just for the beer next time.

What’s good about waiting around at SFO is that you can get a pretty good brew here at Anchor Steam. They have about 4 or 5 different beers on tap and they have two sizes… pint or tall. The tall is a $ 1 more, but you definitely get your monies worth. At $ 9 for a tall glass, you may want to milk that beer. But then again, what are you going to do for 3 hours at SFO. Hmmm, maybe do a quick tour at Fisherman’s Wharf or Alcatraz and come back.

Sausage Breakfast Bagel — Subpar bagel(i.e. 6 to a bag bread with a hole), plasticy American cheese, and bland sausage patty( ) make this one dish to avoid here. Decent Bloody Mary pulls this up from 1-star to 2-star
