Seeing as I’ve done business at this store on approximately 90% of my flights out of SFO, it’s about time I review it, and do the public service of saying what you need to get here since they have a bajillion options. So here goes: — If you like dark chocolate get the 72% «intense dark twilight delight.» No joke: I have done a number of multi-round taste test of chocolates, and this has won pretty much every time. Believe the hype and get it! — Now if you like the flavored ones, the classics are the best: milk chocolate with caramel, and dark chocolate with mint. Yes, they also offer a ton of other options but skip them. — Oh, and size doesn’t matter, at least not in this store. The minis are great as are the squares and bars. It’s really about how much damage per unit unwrapping time you wanna do to yourself or your gift recipient. Prices are higher at this location than at, say, Safeway, but if you’re shopping here for SF souvenirs on your way out of town, be thankful it’s not even worse.

This shop is fine for picking up last minute Ghirardelli souvenirs, but it is definitely more expensive than just getting a bag of the same chocolates from Target and throwing them into your carryon luggage. I really enjoy Ghirardeli in general, and love the shops in SF and SD, but this shop in the airport is just for dry goods. Too bad! It would have been nice to have a delicious sundae before getting on my 12 hour flight!

Show me a person who doesn’t like Ghiradelli’s and I’ll show you someone who just doesn’t like chocolate. How could anyone not allergic to chocolate not like Ghiradelli’s chocolate? Walking through this airport on a 3-hour layover, there are little Ghiradelli stores in numerous places. After surveying the prices and looking for the best bargains, I chose a couple of bags of Dark & Truffle squares and Milk & Caramel squares. The dark chocoates are simply outstanding. Only negative is the price. But I guess rent at the airport isn’t cheap.

Now, yes, I always had Ghirardelli chocolate when in SF! But this location was just great. I stopped in for a last minute gift for a friend who picked me up from the airport coming back to hawaii. I love that you can make your own pack of chocolate at $ 6.25/ ¼ lb. Kinda pricey but if you just want a few and not a gigantic bag, it’s totally cool. The girl working here(the reciept says Leon but I’m not certain it is her name) was more than helpful to me, even offering a sample chocolate. It just so happened to be the peppermint bark square(seasonally here for the holidays) I didn’t really pay attn to any of the pre-packaged stuff or the sale items as hard as it was I kept focus on small baggie… I ended up getting several sqaures and 2 for me. 4 peppermit bark, 2 milk choc luxe, 1 dark choc caramel, 2 mint chocolate, 1 milk caramel, and a couple others. I cant really remember. But for less than $ 10 I got my friend a gift and some for me for the plane ride. Such pleasant service as well! #Yelp 365 Challenge — 128⁄365

My friend kept RAVING about this place of how awesome it was. Even the sign said something about Ghirardelli having the best icecream ever. Unfortunately, I was disappointed the other night. We went on a Thursday night, and it was packed! The server who was looking for our number literally took forever cause she went everywhere. She went upstairs, outside, in the lobby and still couldn’t find us(we were in the lobby). Since she was scouting around the whole place, our Blueberry mix sundae came a bit melted. As long as it came intact, I didn’t care! Icecream tasted the same as any other vanilla icecream. I wish they gave us vanilla bean icecream instead. The whipcream was literally all on one side, so its either you scoop the blueberry chocolate with whipcream or icecream. Plus, the whipcream was on top. The cookie thing that came with it was a no-go. I did not like it at all! Overall, this is a sundae with a price tag. I would much rather enjoy some crêpe than a sundae here.

I was overjoyed to see this little Ghirardelli store as bf and I made our way out of the food court at San Francisco International Airport and toward our gate! We had 10 minutes before our plane boarded, and I wanted to bring my parents home some yummy chocolate. They really liked the Holiday collection that I got them that had the individually-wrapped squares in assorted flavors, so I knew I scored when I saw their selection of squares. They had a 2 bags(5.32 oz) for $ 10 special going on, plus 50-piece and 250-piece cellophane-bagged and ribbon-tied bulk assortment bags, and even an area where you could choose your own combination of flavor squares and pay by the weight. I chose the 50-piece assortment for my parents for just under $ 20 — such a deal! And that bag was HEAVY — it weighed 18.76 oz and had an assortment of the following squares in it: Caramel filled Milk Chocolate Caramel filled 60% Cacao Peanut Butter filled Milk Chocolate 60% Cacao Dark White Mint filled Dark Chocolate Milk Chocolate They also had solid chocolate Golden Gate Bridges for sale! Cute :) Ghirardelli, you make me AND my parents happy!
