My husband and I came here with a couple of friends and we went home with the worst food poisoning! Not only was it the nastiest tasting food but the kitchen was so dirty! There was a pair of dirty shoes just sitting out in the open like the people who worked there also lived there. The floors were nasty, the kitchen was dirty, the workers did NOT wash their hands– if it was up to me we would have left right when we walked in. The meat tasted old in the Bulgogi and was not righti pretty much tasted like soggy peppered beef jerky. The noodles that I got were clearly just ramen that you can buy for 50 cents at Walmart. The Gyzo that I had in my noodles tasted super watered down and fell apart so easily– the meat in them as well was foul and tasted awful. Sunna’s right next door is also a Korean restaurant and the food there was WAY better quality and better tasting than SV Home. We will never come back here or recommend this place to anyone. Not worth $ 40 for two nasty meals when I can go somewhere cleaner with better tasting food.

Great service! & the place was packed! Delicious food. The restaurant is small but I enjoy«Mom & Pop» shops better than the boring chain restaurants. the service is really good for it being that busy. Very generous portions & so many tasty side dishes of kimchi, I really liked the cucumber one. I tried the beef ribs(kalbi), nicely seasoned, not greasy. Their menu is very large. Make sure you call ahead first to see if they are open or not, since their hours are not normal business hours. Its next to a laundromat & a little hard to find parking. Its worth finding a parking spot for, there are extra parking spaces around back too.

This place has the best Korean food I’ve ever had and I’ve tried all the restaurant in this small town. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It has always been clean when I come here. The bulgogi and the kalbi are perfectly marinated. They give you a good variety of side dishes. I like their seafood fried rice and always get this when I come in and it never misses a beat. The kimbab is also one of my favorites and I usually get this for my road trips. The portions with all their dishes are huge, so I usually get some left overs to take home with me. The prices are excellent as well!

Friendly service, delicious food. The restaurant is small and pretty much a hole in the wall, it can get a little stuffy inside, but regardless, the food is good and the service is attentive, that’s what matter most to me. It’s next to the laundromat, don’t let the look fool you or scare you away. The food is better than other Korean restaurants in the area IMO. Try the beef ribs(kalbi), you won’t be disappointed. Perfectly seasoned, not greasy or oily at all. Their menu is pretty big to choose from. Make sure you call ahead first to see if they open or not, since their open hours are a little interesting.

Surprisingly decent for Arizona. I’m from Seattle so I kind of have a high bar. Their bibimbap was good but the sauce not great. Bulgogi was tasty and so was the Kalbi. Medium sized portions. Great, friendly service. Bit of a hole in the wall, but that’s how you know it’s good!

Pretty sad to say that none of our follow up visits have lived up to the first visit(guess I should have known from the cheese soup. ha). Every time we’ve returned, one thing has been good, and others have been sub-par. The final straw was ordering a tuna roll and when it was served, we discovered it was frozen. The entire roll had been frozen and unsuccessfully«thawed» before serving. Gross. Now, when you see this place, you are pretty aware that they aren’t running a gourmet operation– which is fine! Sometimes that’s where you find the best food! But overall, after about 5 visits in 2 – 3 months, we’ve decided its a stinker.

I came for lunch with my wife and 5yr old son. The adult entrees were great I am critical of the cheesy noodles that I got for my son. It looked like packaged ramen noodles with a slice of processed cheese melted on top. Also the drinks(cokes) were a flat rate of $ 5 to include my son. I would definitely return but recommend just getting water.

Authentic Korean food. Awesome sides with a great hostess and service. The only issue i had was the pricing it is a little on the high side; lunch for 2 amounted to $ 35.00. I had the Jap Chae and my wife had the beef bulgogi. This is definitely the kind of place that i would frequent over and over if not for the price. I will not be returning but you do get what you pay for and that’s outstanding food; just a little too rich for my blood.

We went for lunch last week and the place was pretty busy and there was only one waitress working. The service was a little slow, but understandably so. The food was good and the menu seemed like it had a lot of dishes that I like, so I would go back again.

There are a few choices for Korean in Sierra Vista. A friend who is Korean took me here, and it has to be the best in town. My go to dish is the grilled fish. It’s seasoned just enough to enhance the flavor of the fish. Just watch for bones. It’s light, flakey, and juicy. I almost always order it if I’m with a friend or two just to make them try it. The bulgogi is pretty awesome too. It’s not overly Americanized, and is about as authentic as it can get. The staff are very friendly, and make sure you are always well tended.

Very close to Ft Huachuca, right outside the main gate. The food was very tasty, well cooked and with the authentic feeling you look for when visiting an ethnic restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and professional. I am going back for sure!

This is what I’d call a hole in the wall restaurant, but you will be blown away by the cuisine! I’ve tried a couple of Korean places in Sierra Vista, and this one, hands down is the very best. I’d like to recommend the steamed mandu, the beef or chicken bulgogi, the kimchi pancake, and kimbap; all were out of this world delicious! The service is great too!

Stopped here for lunch today for the first time, and we were pleasantly surprised. Looks a little seedy from the street, but *very* clean inside and the food was superb. We had the kimchi pancake appetizer(see picture) — it was excellent, but not for someone with low sodium tolerance. Two of us had the luncheon bulgogi(see picture), one had the beef short ribs, one had the spicy buckwheat noodles. Everyone raved about the food. The flavors were great. We really liked the assortment of condiments that came for all to share. The spicy cucumbers were the big hit. Clean bathrooms too!

I’ve given this restaurant 4 stars based primarily on taste. Ice tea is definitely fresh brewed, yummy. Mandu is handmade and fresh cooked, delicious! I got the chap chae. It was delicious but odd that it did not have noodles, just the veggies and meat. I was torn beware I love the noodles but it was so tasty I ate it all happily. The interior is nothing special, plain, basic seating. Owner is friendly and attentive. I’ll go back and if the food continues to be so good it will keep the 4 stars.

Small little place right outside Ft Huachuca’s main gate. Very family feel and friendly staff. I had the spicy pork plate, was nicely flavored, and not spicy(to me at least) The sides were awesome though, it came with six small plates of traditional Korean sides, and they were all good. Some sesame seaweed, SPICY kimchi, and various others. I will go again and try more, I heard the soups are great so maybe one of them next and see if I can give a fourth star

Service and food was awesome. Kim chi was really good also. This is actually my second time here and I’m going to go for the bulgogi. The dinner dish, not that it wasn’t big enough but I just couldn’t get enough. Again, great service and food!

Without a doubt, the best Korean in Sierra Vista(if not the globe :)). We originally went to Kim-BA-Woo but it was closed. Certainly fortunate to say the least! Try the bulgogi and jobshe(both beef, sorry for the murdered spelling of the dishes). Spring rolls were also remarkable. The freshness was also second to none.

Pork for two please! Totally hole in the wall, but the pork BBQ is SO good and SO worth it. They bring over the little grill table side and cook it for you, it’s served with all the Korean sides + lettuce wraps + rice. SOGOOD.

FAB! I’d just caught them on an off day last time. Thank GOD, or whatever the Korean word for God is — probably kimbap. Because their kimbap is still out of this world! Thank Kimbap! I was also introduced to a tasty little treasure called the kimchi pancake. Massive amounts of yumminess! And I don’t like kimchi! And the owner, what a doll. Fantastic, friendly, prompt service. I foresee many kimchi pancake lunch dates in 2014.

As Good As It Gets in Sierra Vista for Korean! Every other review is spot on for giving this establishment a five star rating. This place lives up to its name and really feels like«Home» when you are dining here. The service is friendly, if not familial, courteous, and prompt. The location and layout is a little quirky, not quite fitting for a restaurant, it is next to a laundry mat, yet seems to work well for this restaurant. The food is delicious, tasty, freshly prepared, and of high quality. The open kitchen allows for a transparent cooking environment and adds to the quirky charm of this restaurant. Large portions are found on nearly every choice on the menu. Special requests are handled with ease and pride. Here, there is a passion for good food, properly prepared by the owner/chef, served and presented in traditional fashion — and it shows in spades. The restaurant is very clean and open, albeit a bit bright in the late afternoon/early evening hours from the sun shining through the large windows and office-like fluorescent lights. The tables and décor are minimal, however that is not what matters; it is the taste and flavor of the entrees, served with an array of yummy side dishes that seem to complement, and enhance, the flavors of each main dish. The flavors of all the food I have tried are enough to elicit pavlovian responses and will eagerly keep me coming back for the fulfillment of another tasty foray down the menu. SV Korean Restaurant hits all the marks(Locally Owned, Tasty, Good Value) and More! Overall: 5 Stars Food: 4.9 Stars Service 4.5 Stars Cleanliness: 4.4 Stars Atmosphere: 3.8 Value: 4.3
