Very good, homestyle Korean cooking! «Mom’s kitchen» kind of place. If you have a Korean mom :-) Yakimandu, bulgogi, and jajangmyung(brown noodles) hit the spot, and the whole family thought it was on point. Can’t wait to go back!

Possibly Arizona’s Best Korean Restraunt” Kim Ba-Woo’s Den is a modest little place located right on Fry Blvd, but don’t let its small size fool you. This place can hold its own with the best Korean cuisine you’ll find anywhere. In fact, it’s easily as good as any top flight Korean restaurant you’d find in LA or New York.

Okay, so there I was going through my weekly Korean weekly food addiction. I haven’t been to Kim Ba Woos in a long time. I am talking years. The food has always been good but I boycotted the increased prices. Well I am happy to say that their prices for most food items are in line with the other Korean restaurants in town. I was just in time to order from their lunch specials. The beef bulgogi served on vegetables and a side of white rice was tasty. There were only two side dishes served which was a little disappointing but at least they were tasty. They were kimchi and a cucumber dish. I was the only person eating in the restaurant at the time. The service was a good 4 stars.

I’ve ordered to go for myself and my coworkers about ten times so far. Everything has always been good or great.

This is probably my favorite Korean in SV. Service is always fast and they remember us even if we haven’t been in months. Bulgogi and Spicy Pork are very good. They make the kimchi pancake how I like it too!

I do not recommend the food or service. This used to be a frequent spot of mine and it has really gone downhill. The bulgogi is way too smokey and dry. The lunch waitress is unfriendly and the water is not filtered — I know this is not something every other restaurant offers but the glass was not clean as the water tasted like kimchi. I will say the egg rolls and Kalbi are fairly good but there are many better options in town such as Sunna’s and Bunbuku. I think the owner is nice from past experiences and I’m hopeful she cares to read these reviews.

Love it here! Food is always fast and yummy. I am always remembered when I come in, and it makes it feel special. It’s a little gem in a small town like Sierra Vista.

This restaurant use to be pretty good. I decided after the last visit that I would not be coming back. The food looked, smelled, and tasted so bad. I think that they had just taken left over and re-cooked it. I couldn’t eat everything because of fear that it was taken off of the customer’s plate before me. They also need to do some serious redecorating. The upholstery on the chairs are ripped and everything mismatches. I would not recommend this place at all!

In town for a month… Service deserves a 10. The owner was very friendly and gave prompt service. Super sweet lady. Unfortunately, the food that we ordered wasn’t as good. It was decent but I’ve had better at SV Home Korea Food. We ordered the spicy pork bulgogi. It tasted like it was microwaved and not fresh. It came sizzling upon service but the taste that I was expecting wasn’t there. It just tasted bland and the texture felt like it crumbled in my mouth. Not appetizing at all. The banchan was fresh though. I personally prefer SV Home Korea Food, which is just outside of the main gate of Fort Huachuca.

Korean food is not my favorite Asian cuisine so I was glad they had some Chinese items on the Specials menu. I was also grateful this restaurant was open on a Saturday late afternoon — all other eateries on west Fry Blvd were not. As every other Unilocaler has stated the food is excellent, service fast and friendly, and no long wait for a table! It has everything I expect from a restaurant. I’ll definitely be back.

So you would think I was a preg the way I beelined for this Korean place after training one day. I saw it and was like, «what?!?» I read a few reviews and gave it a whirl. Glad I did. Not a fancy place but who gives?! The Bulgogi was spot on and not too sweet like most places make it. You could actually taste the BBQ/grill flavor. The kimchi/potato/bean sprout sides were AMAZING and fresh. They don’t have PaJun on the menu but the lady was willing to make it for me if I wanted but I didnt get it… Very good service. Would return if I were staying longer…

In no way am I a Korean food aficionado. Food was good, fresh, fast, service was fantastic-it was a little over priced for my taste, but I’d rather give my money to a locally owned business.

Pleasant service. Food was yummy! I got the spicy noodle soup. I would definitely come in again to try the Bulgogi or BBQ ribs.

I can’t believe this place doesn’t have a higher rating. It’s been around forever! When Momma Kim was cooking, the food was the best! After her accident awhile ago they went through a couple of chefs. Admittedly, the food wasn’t very good for a few months in late 2009, but for the past year or so, the chefs have been excellent! The same waitress is always there, she’ll remember your name, and drink order every time(we only go maybe once every few months). The décor could use an update, but it’s always clean. I love the Dolsotbipbimbop-crunchy rice in a hot steel bowl with kimchi and bulgogi on top. The Kalbi-korean short ribs, are my favorite thought! They’re never busy, and always a great choice for wonderful service and good food! If you’ve never eaten Korean food before, this place is a good place to try, they serve tons of side dishes of kimchis with every order. Always enough in one serving of anything for left overs!

Use to not like it as much but after they got a new chef the place has really grown on me in the past year. If your after really good bulgogi, this is the place to go.

Great service and good food. I usually get the kimchi chiggae and it is great every time. I could pick apart the differences between their food and food I’ve had in Korea, but come on, we’re in the high desert. It’s not like they’re putting hotdogs and spam in their kimci chiggae, like some local restaurants. In a city where poor customer service tends to be the norm, the friendly service is a welcome relief.

we intended to go somewhere else but this was the only place opened around 4pm on a weekday. everyone around it was closed from 3 – 5 ish. lady was super nice. she was a sweet korean lady and service was good and fast. my friend got the japchae, which was decent but i got the jajang myun(black bean noodle) which wasnt good. noodles were too soft; black bean sauce too gravy-ish and lacked the black bean flavor. side dishes were good; kimchi was good

We eat here a couple times a month and always love it. The menu is small but varied but more importantly, the food is always fresh. I don’t think we’ve ever had a bad meal here in all the years we’ve been coming. Service is always friendly and quick. They also offer take-out but the place is never crowded so you can come in, sit down and take your time eating. The bulgogi is always great. We also like the bibimbap and bugalbi. Occasionally, hubby will have one of the noodle dishes. The side dishes are always varied which is great because I love trying out the different kimchees they have. This is a nice, small and very homey restaurant. The décor is old and dated but once you eat the food, you’ll overlook all that. I’ve brought visiting family here to eat and once they get over the«looks» of the place and taste the food, they’re hooked.

Ate here 3 times. First: food tasted great, BUT got sick after Second: food was mediocre but wouldn’t knock it yet Third: worst Korean food experience ever. Why my soup tasted like tamales is beyond me.
