After trying a couple of other Korean restaurants in the area, I like this one the most. I had the Beef Bulgogi and Kimchi… both were great. They even serve SWEETTEA! And it doesn’t have that weird aftertaste the water has at other places. The dining area was clean and staff were friendly. This will be my go to place for Korean BBQ in Sierra Vista.

This is my new favorite restaurant in town. The food and atmosphere is better than SV Home in my opinion. The staff is so friendly, often giving free sample of spring rolls which is something we order everytime! They are so delicious as is everything else!

A lot of people say SV Korean restaurant is the tastiest. But after eating at both places, The most deserving restaurant to have the best overall food and atmosphere is this place. Their sides are much better and their meats are much tastier. I am pretty much very picky on what good Korean food is, and I fond all what I’m looking for at Sunna’s. All new newbies in Sierra vista, don’t need to go anywhere else for great food. For lunch their full entrée are only 7.99, and their soups are superb. A must try for all Asian food lovers, or Korean bbq enthusiasm.

Absolutely delicious and seemed extremely authentic! I ordered the mushroom tofu soup, which I enjoyed however I would rate it a 7⁄10 on the spicy scale. The waiter immediately brought us our drinks and the food came out quickly as well. The décor could be improved.

Much much better today. I like Sunna’s because the owner really cares about service and quality of food. She makes changes to ensure your experience is a good one. She works extremely long hours and makes trips to Tucson and Phoenix to get the best ingredients. She comes out of the Kitchen to greet her customers. After having been stationed in Korea, this is one of my favorite Korean restaurants. I know you will enjoy it and the prices are reasonable. The lunch specials are also wonderful.

So yummy. Past reviews said problems with flies but didn’t have that problem. Waiter was great. Lunch gets busy. I highly recommend this place. I really liked my rib plate and my daughters Japanese noodles hit the spot. Sierra Vista has few good food spots. This is a must see.

Following a local Sierra Vistonian’s recommendation, we dined at Sunna’s Korean Restaurant. Both the food and experience was outstanding! Tasty spread of ten small dishes of homemade Kimchi, etc was complimentary. Dinners, too, were wonderful and plentiful(have a cooler, or frig in your room, for the leftovers). NOTE: Sunna’s uses NOMSG which is important because 1) you’ll avoid migraines, etc resulting from this poison, and 2) it indicates quality ingredients(MSG biochemically tricks your brain into thinking crap is caviar). Oh yeah, almost forgot: Sunna and her staff are courteous, caring, and oh so welcoming.

Very nice service and fast. The waiter was professional and know his hob and the menu well. The only thing I didn’t like, and this seems like an issue in all Sierra Vista, was the flies!

This place is not Good. Food was not tasty and it was very grease. Service slow. Eat at your risk!

I am now a fan of Korean food. The owners Sunna is very nice & will often come out and visit with you. Plus they have a full bar & you can get Kimchee by the jar to go. I recommend trying this place.

There’s something you’ve got to understand before I start this review. I’ve never had Korean food, and am only familiar with it from pop culture… an episode of a PBS cooking show here, and a video game reference there. So this visit to Sunna’s wasn’t just a meal for me; it was an education. Luckily, I had a great teacher; a friendly middle-aged woman who made helpful suggestions. I decided to try the number two, a meal of Bulgogi, along with Kim Bap as an appetizer. The meal started with a small but crispy spring roll, which tasted even better dipped in the soy sauce offered on the side. Okay, so far, so good! Then came the Kim Bap, which quickly brought the differences between Japanese and Korean cuisine into sharp focus. For those who don’t know, Kim Bap is fundamentally similar to sushi, with rice tucked into a seaweed roll. However, instead of a sliver of raw fish, you get cooked beef. Also, the presentation is a bit more… creative, I think. While Japanese sushi is fairly uniform in shape, some pieces of the Kim Bap had thinly cut slices of carrot happily springing out of them. The main course illustrated one other key difference between the foods of Korea and Japan. Japanese meals are typically fairly modest in size, but if Sunna’s is anything to go by, Korean portions are absolutely gigantic. The Bulgogi– thin slices of barbecued beef– was served with stewed cabbage, AND a generous amount of fried rice, AND eight different sides; typically slaws and vinegared vegetables. With all this food and seconds offered on the sides, I can guarantee you won’t leave the table hungry. In fact, you’ll be so full, you may not be able to leave the table at all! The restaurant was clean, quiet, and pleasantly decorated, without too much bric-à-brac on the walls. In fact, it may have been TOO quiet, as I seemed to be the only person dining there. However, with good food, warm service, and a diverse menu, this place should be seeing a lot more business. Give it a try if you love Korean food… or even if it’s your first time.

This was the first time I had ever tried Korean food even though I love all other Asian cuisines. It was a Thursday evening 6pm when we arrived and there were two other parties there(a six top and a couple) We sat at what used to be a sushi bar. Han was the only server. Boy did this guy move. He was prompt, attentive and answered all of our questions about the various dishes with patience and enthusiasm. I have never seen a server work so fast and hard –all the while with a smile on his face. Ok. So let’s talk about the food. All I can say is that Sunna(the chef and owner) put out some serious food. We had salmon and shrimp sushi which was prepared a bit different than traditional Japanese Sushi but still very good and fresh. I had the BBQ beef –¼ inch beef tenderloin rounds(bone in) that was so delicious. Partner had the Teriyaki chix. Meals come with 8 small bowls of different Korean garnishes like kimchee, picked cucumbers, bean sprouts, etc. They also serve premium rice wine(which I imbibed and it was awesome!), sake, beers and premium spirits. We spent 1.5 hours there and Sunna twice came out to see how everything was and talked to us about the various dishes and a bit of Korean culture associated with the food. I can definitely recommend this restaurant to newbies and regular aficionados of Korean food. It was certainly a cultural experience and I will definitely return.

Great service and great food. We had been looking for Korean food since we just returned from S. Korea and this place was almost like being back in Korea. I enjoyed the food and will be returning.

Awesome service from incredibly kind staff. I ordered the kalbi ribs and jjajang noodles. Good food with perks and my Togo order only took 15 minutes. Definitely coming back.

In a town resplendent with Asian cuisine, Sunna’s is easily one of if not the best in Sierra Vista. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the dining room spotless, and the food awes with the generous portions and impeccable quality. I’m suitably impressed that I’m writing this review before I’ve even finished my meal.

Awesome food and service. Great spicy pork bulgoki and the best Kalbi in town. The restaurant is super clean and well maintained. By far my favorite Korean spot in town and Sunna makes a point to say hello. Must go!

Every thing on the menu is very well, prepared. The kimchi is probably the best I have had. This is one of those hidden gems. But the best dish of all is the seafood stew. This is a Korean version of ciopinno and is GREAT. We try and stop by at least weekly. It’s that good.

Phenomenal service! Came here a few months ago at the recommendation of a Korean friend. When eating at an asian restaurant, I always ask local asians where they eat. They restaurant is small and comfortable and the food piping hot and cooked as you like. The most standout feature of Sunna’s is the level of customer service. Sunna makes it a point to come out, introduce herself, welcome you, and get to know the customer. She’s obviously raised a very stellar young son who serves in the dining room. Her son has such polite genuine and genial manners that even other customers were complimenting him. He was able to provide recommendations and overall proved very knowledgeable on the food when we were trying to decide what to eat. They give you a Complimentary egg roll if you check in with Unilocal. When I showed the son the offer, he offered to bring our entire party complimentary egg rolls — one for each of us. How nice! Overall, I gorged on the food and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you want fantastic service, they’re great here!
