I really like this restaurant. The service is great and the people there really seem to care. In the beginning the food(especially the chicken) seemed to be overcooked and dry. Over time, there has been a big improvement with the quality of meals. Once we were treated to homemade guacamole made fresh right in front of us with the ingredients we selected. What a treat! However, this place is going to turn into an urban legend because of the mysterious closings. I am under the impression that the reason why they shut down briefly the first time had to do with the lease agreement as stated in the Sierra Vista Hearld. After awhile it reopened to it’s new and improved excellence. Then without notice, we arranged to take an out of towner to dinner there and to our disappointment the establishment was all dark and spooky. Closed again? La Fuente!!! Where did you go???

Food was okay but the service was terrible. I had the buffet and, after taking my drink order, I never saw the waiter again on his own(I had to flag him down multiple times). My drink was empty longer than it was full. I wanted to order some sopapilla but I had to flag the waiter down. I seem to have been forgotten as my dessert had not arrived within 20 minutes. I had to make a comment out loud saying«where is my waiter?». Within seconds, both the owner and the waiter came to my table to apologize(as it was«hectic» in the kitchen) and gave me the sopapillas for free. Of course, when the dessert came out, they were dense as bricks and kinda bland. They would have gotten 1 star if they didn’t give me the dessert free. Otherwise, the food was not worth the terrible, forgotten customet service.

I wrote out a lengthy and detailed review which Unilocal lost, so suffice it to say that this place sucks. Food tasted frozen, canned, or was simply overcooked. Not authentic, the owner did not respond to a legitimate complaint while seated nearby. There was nobody in there. Hey, but the bartender can mix margarita mix and tequila, wow! He also insulted Sierra Vista and Bisbee… Well, but he’s related to the owner and from Tucson, so he can stay there as far as I I’m concerned. Go somewhere else, quick!

By far the worse Mexican Food I’ve ever had. I was there as the owner was sitting at the bar drinking and getting the service the customers deserve. The only time I’ve ever in my life had to ask for salt and pepper at a Mexican restaurant. They have a DJ on the weekends and try to do so many different things because the food is so horrible they have to get creative to try and get people in the front. It’s not a club but a restaurant. Service is not that great either, the management is completely lacking. If you want crap food, crap environment and crap service then this is for you. People who like this place are just friends of employees trust me. I’ve yet to find one person who can say they truly enjoyed it. There is a reason they closed down and now are making a second disgusting attempt. Save yourself the pain of digesting this embarrassment of sickening food obviously prepared by someone who doesn’t deserve to be a line cook let alone a chef

Excellent place to have Mexican food. Prices are very good and food portions are really big.

First time back since they re-opened. The food is way over priced for the quality. Honestly, the best part of the meal were the beans and rice. The meat was seasoned with very little flavor and a bit dry. I’m still waiting for authentic in this town, and sadly, this is not it. If you’re looking to spend too much on mediocre Mexican food because you have no idea what good Mexican food is, then this is the place for you. If not, Save your money and go to Filberto’s(same quality better price).

Great food and atmosphere! Menu consists of classic Mexican dishes as well as a variety of ala carte items. Fresh guacamole made right at your table and it was some of the best I have ever tasted. This is a great spot for a special occasion or a family night out. Very reasonably priced with great service. If you have not tried you should. Returned for another great meal. Best in SV!!!

Ate the lunch buffet. Food was good Mexican. Not the best I’ve had but it is good. Only one server for lunch he seemed busy but was tentative and did a good job. I would come back though.

It wasn’t the best, but far from the worst. Price was right, service was okay. I did not eat the buffet but overall food was good, place seemed clean and other than only a few lunch time diners food was hot and served fairly quickly. I’ll give it another shot, seemed like a decent place.

This place just reopened! I feel like the atmosphere, vibe, service and quality of the food improved greatly! When I ordered just water with my lunch(and I order water because I am being healthy not cheap), I always had it refilled. Some restaurants, it’s a shame you order water and the refill it just once. The server seemed happy and friendly and the food was delicious! I am a huge fan of the chicken mole enchiladas! I was back another time in the evening when there was karaōke night going on. My server that night was really nice and friendly too… Like great servers should be! I have heard of people writing this place off from when they tried it before and had a less than favorable experience, but I urge those people to seriously try it again! I can assure you that, this time you won’t be disappointed… I wasn’t!

Everything about this place is pretty average. My boyfriend and I stopped on our from Bisbee to Tucson for the $ 6.99 buffet lunch special. There was a make your own taco or burrito section along with rice and beans and a few other entrees to choose from. Couldn’t really tell what any of them were– mostly covered in cheese, but it was good. The desserts weren’t that great and I would recommend skipping them altogether. I must say the service was great and we never had an empty glass. It’s worth giving this place a try– especially during happy hour– but don’t be too excited for amazing food.

I ate here a few times shortly after it opened and was not impressed. It was«ok» but nothing special or memorable. However my experience this past week was quite enjoyable. There are new chefs now and it’s obvious. The servers were extremely friendly and attentive. I had the fajitas based on my waitress’s recommendation and was extremely pleased. I’m glad I gave them another chance; It seems as if they are really trying to improve and correct the mistakes that happened after opening. If you’ve been there before and were disappointed I would highly recommend giving them another chance. I’m sure glad I did.

Okay Mexican food. For what they charge, I would expect a little more kick in my food.

Great service and good food. This place may not be the best, but you can’t beat service like this.

The food was absolutely fantastic. Everyone at our table enjoyed what they got(Fajitas, Chicken Melt, Nachos, Steak Fundido, Chicken Aztec). The magaritas are only $ 4 and were delicious. The only thing lacking was good service. There was barely anyone in there on a week night and all the servers were rushed and just not great at their job. The waiter misremembered an order, but they fixed it AND comped it so I can’t hold that against them.

Not great, but good. I prefer the nachos supreme and the coco margarita(kind of a blend of a piña colada and a margarita). I was not pleased with the taco salad I had ordered in the past… just sayin’.

We were excited to try this new Mexican place and its renovations made it look inviting. We ate there for the first time on Halloween night. It was so disappointing. I ordered the carne asada plate and my fiancé had the steak fundido. My carne asada was practically tasteless and barely seasoned. They forgot the enchilada and the guacamole that came with it. My fiancé’s plate was just awful. It was bits of steak that had greasy, nearly burned cheese sprinkled on it on a cast-iron skillet. Not at all what we were expecting, and certainly NOTMEXICAN. The service was good and they had a good attitude which is why I think they deserve a couple extra stars for their efforts to provide a fun and festive environment on Halloween(they had a haunted house, some kid-friendly activities, and a costume contest for kids. based on audience clapping… which I thought was a bit harsh for kids that small). However, I don’t think we’ll be back for the food.

Blah Fuente. No spice, no flavor. Every dish is edible but nothing stands out. Each«special» named dish is basically a chicken breast with some bland sauce or a boring masa tamale. They are afraid of spice(not just heat, I mean spices). The chips here do beat the artificially yellow bits they call chips at La Casita. We had warm(temperature) salsa at La Fuente. How can that even happen? I had high hopes that they would somehow overcome the issues at the Tucson store, but no such luck.

I took my family of six last night to this newly opened Mexican Restaurant to give it a try. I figured service and food quality should be decent after a month or so of being opened. The waitress was attentive to our drink needs so that was a positive, but failed to even ask us how the food was. I think she already knew. My wife took a bite out of her sea bass dish and couldn’t eat anymore as the same went for my daughter who had the same dish. Fish was over cooked and dry. The vegetables had NO seasoning. Worst vegetables I had at any restaurant. I had the steak. Which was cooked properly but we very thin. The rest of my dish was«meh». My older son had the steak strips. Those were tasty but his side dishes did not match what the menu said. My 7 year old twins ordered the tacos with rice from the children’s menu. Their food came out in 15 minutes. They were finished before any other dish came out, which was another 15 – 20 minutes. Bad timing on expediting there. The tacos were far worse than Taco Bell tacos. The shells are store bought and broke easily. Meat is shoved in there and the rest is thrown on the side of the plate do you to fill. Sad. I mentioned we have six people in my family, and usually most restaurants add an automatic gratuity after 8 or more. I was surprised to see that already in there. In my opinion, the food is way over priced for the quality. After that experience, I can definitely say my family and I will never be returning.

This is a brand new restaurant for Sierra Vista, so we were anxious to try it out. First off, the service was excellent. Our waiter Travis was eager to assist and I would consider him a real asset. I had the cactus which was absolutely full of flavor, I really enjoyed it. I did ask for some tortillas on the side because I felt this dish was better served with the tortillas and salsa to make it just perfect. My dining partner had the shrimp, he was not as happy with his. He said that the shrimp was still a bit cold inside so perhaps it wasn’t heated or cooked to the proper specifications. I will say that this was probably the first week after the restaurant opening so there are bound to be some glitches along the way. With the vast menu choices and excellent service we received from Travis I will be more than happy to try out this restaurant again.
