A good solid quick lunch or simple dinner. Larger portions, served simply. A bit heavy on the oil in the pesto and pomodoro sauces. ‘The Hall’ offers a bar and several orher take out eateries.

A new addition to the bougie food court at The Hall. For about $ 13.50, you get some pasta and sauce. The sauce is *really* good while the pasta seems pretty standard(as far as fresh pasta goes). Good if you’re craving some fast causal Italian pasta and want something fancier than Noodles & Company. Cheese Tortellini: Pretty tasty, but that should be expected of tortellini. Came in three colors(white, orange, green) that tasted the same. Reminded me a bit of the tortellini you could get at the Safeway fresh(–ish) pasta section. Surprisingly filling. The container makes it look small because it has a small diameter, but it does have a decent amount of depth. Might look more appealing if served on a plate instead. Bolognese Ragu: This was definitely way better than anything store bought! You could taste the notes of wine that had been slow cooked into the sauce. High quality ground meat. Reminds me of sauce at a fancy, yet casual Italian restaurant in a newly gentrified neighborhood.

Tortellino is a small new gourmet pasta place in The Hall on Market(which contains a variety of places to grab lunch or drinks). Tortellino appears to be a one man show as there was just one person there to take the orders and make the food. We ordered the fettuccine pasta with marinara sauce. A nice sprinkle of shredded cheese(I think mozzarella? Not sure) was on top, yum! The pasta tasted fresh and was served in a small to-go container, with the total reaching about $ 13. The place is pricey for the amount of food you receive and the wait time is about 10 minutes or more. If they implemented an order ahead service, that would be nice/potentially more efficient. I may return again but wouldn’t frequent this place too often. For the price point/quantity it would seem to be a better deal to get something from The Whole Beast a few steps over. If you are a pasta lover/enthusiast then I would suggest trying this place out.
