The place is relatively clean and the cashier is hit or miss. Quantity over quality for the super cheap california rolls. They also have at times other rolls that are pretty discounted. If you plan on ordering anything that is over 3 dollars and not a sushi roll then go elsewhere.

OK, this is my 3rd re-write Content. So here you go: I should have known better that the place is a pseudo Japanese. I knew it. I walked by the place so many times and kept telling my self that«do not go in there.» The Ramen was not better than instant Ramen. The broth was same as the Miso-soup What a piece of shit! But you’ll pay 9 bucks for it, and I did. 4 Tako-Yaki for 3 bucks! it looks cheap frozen kind from China, maybe poisoned, you’ll never know. Its fun to watch that cute Asian girls eating the fuzzy balls for crying out loud! 1.99 Cal Roll? Who cares! It was one of the worst pseudo Japanese I have ever experienced. I was so mad. I think I’ll shoot my head off if I eat the curry or «bento-box» so, I won’t go back there again.

I haven’t tried anything else besides its famous California Roll. For only $ 2.50, you will get 8 pieces of freshly made imitation crab and avocado wrapped in sushi rice. 5 stars for the price! Let’s Roll!

The sushi was very concentrated. It tastes like it’s from Safeway. Not as good as I anticipated.

This place gets a three star simply because of there decent food and mainly the cheap prices! If you want fast, cheap sushi, then this is the place. The food is trying to be as «authentic» as possible being run by Chinese people. The sushi is actually pretty decent and I love their shrimp tempura rolls. Their CA rolls are only $ 2.50 for 8 pieces, they aren’t great but for the price their are really good! The only thing that isn’t so authentic is their chicken karage which is similar to a q-cup or Quickly’s fried chicken pieces and NOT your typical karage. But the chicken is tasty and is served with a sriracha mayo sauce too! Their service is kinda slow, there only one lady who takes orders and serves the food to your table. Then one person who cooks/makes the food in the back. The place is also very small with only a few tables, that are usually not wiped down, that are really close together. Overall, you can get a whole lot of decent sushi for under $ 15. I will be back if I’m near the area!

This place is filthy. When I walked in with my friend, this place was empty and the tables were filled with trash. But I guess you can’t really blame the cashier for that since she was in the middle of giving herself a manicure. I mean I know I wouldn’t want to mess up my freshly painted nails to throw away someone else’s trash. In case you didn’t know, painting your nails then handing my friend her food is considered chemical contamination. Are you begging for a visit from the health department?

Service is horrible. cashier is way too busy on her phone. Took a few tries to grab her attention even if youre right infront of her face. She would be calling and chatting it up while the the customers have to wait until she hangs up. She does not clean up as well. so customers need to do it themselves. She also took our order down ALLWRONG… so CLEARLY shes not paying attention. so YOU need to pay attention with what she is charging you, what she hands you, and make sure to have her repeat your order so she has its right and wont make you wait even longer! If anything, try coming here when shes NOT working. At least the sushi is great for the price.

This place is really sad. The California rolls are depressing. The cucumbers taste old. The filling is mostly mayo. When I got my order the pieces were falling apart when I tried to eat it. You get what you pay for. If you’re planning to get sushi, head over to Yum Yum Fish.

This place sucks! Big portions of food. Too bad it is overly seasoned with salt and pepper. And saw the staff empty the trash then go back and serve people without changing their gloves. Nasty.

Convenient and fast. Literally walked in and walked out within 1 minute after buying a California roll to-go. Which means its prepared ahead of time. It was only $ 4 for 6 pieces which is great if you just want a snack or hankering for a craving of sushi. Busy during the middle of the day with students who love their boba and fried snacks. Even busier towards the later night since there isn’t much in the way of hangouts over here in the avenues, but good if your into fast food with no frills.

The Popcorn Chicken here gets you a large serving of beautifully seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth chicken. If you need more of a kick, add some pepper salt and chili powder. Grab a bubble tea next door, sit down, and enjoy some great chicken! The other items we got here couldn’t compare to the Popcorn Chicken. The Gyoza had super thick skin, which seemed untraditional to me; I ate a few, but couldn’t decide whether I liked it or not. The Takoyaki was tasty and had a mayonnaise-like sauce covering it. The Sweet Potato Fries were plentiful and long, but not crispy enough for me.

One of my favorite places to get a nice meal for pretty good place, I like to get some bobs next door while I’m waiting. First found this place when I had to come here to pick up my popcorn chicken.(Oddly I can’t pay for popcorn chicken here…) Tried a variety of their bento items, their teriyaki foods like the salmon and beef for the most part is on par. I’m writing this because I loveeeee their Tonkatsu curry. Sometimes I dream of it, of course you can find better curry across the park, but this place hits the spot unlike Kobe Bento few stores down. I’m saying four stars because its reasonably priced food that taste darn good.

3.5 stars. They have pretty good deals here! I usually get the 8 piece California Roll deal for only $ 2.50, and it was good, not bad! However, I would only stop by this place if I was in the area; I wouldn’t come here if I wasn’t in the area.

There are fresh, good quality sushi and then there are the not-so-fresh, bad quality sushi. Let’s Roll falls into the latter category. The sushi here contains eight pieces per order, and they’re pretty cheap, but decent, averaging $ 3 – 5 per roll, with the most expensive being around $ 10. The California Roll has imitation crab with almost no mayo, and the spicy tuna isn’t spicy at all. Also, the color of the cucumber was off in both rolls — it was very pale/old-looking and dry. The takoyaki(4 pieces) have about 2 – 3 octopus pieces per ball and plenty of filling as well. There were large pieces of bonito flakes and seaweed that was too chewy. I wished they gave more mayo-sauce though. I probably wouldn’t come back here if I were craving sushi. Service is non-existent; you order and pay at the register, and then you get your food. Prices are slowly increasing, as the takoyaki are now $ 3.69(used to be $ 2.99). And they have a policy of $ 10 minimum when using credit or debit cards.

As a first timer, I was a little disappointed that California rolls aren’t $ 1.99 anymore. After reading the other reviews I guess it went up to $ 2.30. Apparently they keep slowly raising their prices little by little. But that aside, how can you complain for DIRTCHEAP sushi that actually tastes good? I think we paid $ 2.99 for 8 pcs(someone correct me if I’m wrong) but it was all good. Ordered that and a dragon roll(shrimp tempura and avocado in the inside and unagi on top) for me and a girlfriend. Since it was the first meal of the day, we weren’t too hungry and planned on going for boba afterwards. You order at the cash register and then find a seat. They bring out chopsticks, napkins, plates, and sauce dishes. You can get your own cold water and cup at the fridge section next to the register. Clean, quick, and cheap. Great for a snack or to grab it to go.

You know that meme where it has that one guy from star trek and the caption says«wtf is this shit?!» Yeah, that was my exact thought with the curry chicken katsu I ordered… ebi fry curry out on display, but not on menu so the cashier charged me $ 14. Chinese owned(canto and mandarin spoken) «japanese» joint and RIDICULOUSLY overpriced for what you get. My brother’s pork katsu came with rice soup and salad, but a pile of cabbage doesn’t make it a salad… I was really pissed off regretting not going to sunrise deli across the street. i work at a japanese market managed and run by real japanese ppl. i know what the good stuff are. $ 2 ca roll for 8pcs will not make up for everything. NEVERAGAIN!

First thing I noticed on their menu and on display: sushi rolls. I came here to pick up my popcorn chicken I ordered from Teaway(somehow they are related with each other — Teaway borrows their kitchen to fry up some popcorn chicken O0). Convenient place to grab something light or a hot snack on the go! Small place to dine in. Cozy shop!

Before the restaurant opened, it was advertised as D.I.Y sushi! i was looking forward to that and it was part of the reason why I wanted to go try this place. It’s also next to Teaway, a tapioca place i really like :) Heard they are both opened from the same owner. The food is mediocre. kinda expensive for the taste that you get. The sushi was okay. I also got a salmon sushi bowl, pretty good, but the sushi rice could use some work. The place is small and never busy, but the staff is friendly! They are still fairly new, so I believe they are still working on improvements. I shall come back and try later on.

A-ha, finally Let’s Roll opens up! It was closed for a week or so… looks like they decided to redecorate on the outside a bit? Anyway, what Let’s Roll has going for them so far are the prices for the sushi. Sure, not a huge selection, but come on, $ 1.99 for California Roll… that’s a good deal. My brother and I ordered 2 sets of Unagi(Eel) Avocado Rolls and 1 set of California Roll. Total = $ 8.73 The place is a bit cramped, reminding me of typical eateries in Japan. The clientèle so far seems to be young Asians, but of course that could change. The window seats are good for people-watching on Irving, although there’s not too much to see in the evening unfortunately. The menu also includes rice bowls and other delicious Japanese offerings, albeit these other items are not as cheap as the sushi rolls. The only thing I found a little disheartening was the price for Takoyaki(Fried Octopus): you get 4 pieces for $ 2.99, and the signs say that’s the Grand Opening Special. Does that mean the price will be raised after the Grand Opening, or that Takoyaki is only a limited menu item? Well, I’ll definitely be back to try the other dishes out. It’s nice and convenient for me anyway.
