I love this place! I was interested in what the Unilocal reviews had to say and was shocked to see a few negative reviews. I have eaten here on a regular basis(weekly) for several months and have never had a negative experience. The guacamole is the best in town. Tacos, enchiladas, and taco salad are all really good and the employees have never been anything but friendly. My daughter(10YO and VERY picky) also loves the guacamole and the rice and beans. The food is always served very quickly and I have not had a bad meal yet.

Great food and fast service. I got the combo beef taco and chicken enchilada. Chicken was tender and tasty. Sauce was great too. Recommended.

I hate this place so much. I’ve lived here my whole life, and this is probably the worst taqueria in the city. I continue to go back in hopes my next meal will be better than the last, but I am continually disappointed. WAY over priced, and not even good quality. Don’t go.

It’s ok but don’t eat the cerrano chiles when they frie them and look black and old, I got the worse food poisoning ever.

Bad bad bad … I live one block away and I had a take out order, one taco salad and chili relleno enchilada meal. Taco salad was good, but they forgot my chili relleno in my meal, the enchilada in the dinner was so dry I had to mix it with the over salted beans and rice… Good luck getting good service there.

Really solid Mexican food. I’ve been getting takeout. I recommend these: Carne Asada fajitas Guacamole Horchata Quesadillas for kiddos Burritos The carne asada tacos look better than they taste. Solid place though. It’s a good stand by for takeout!

Really friendly and fast service! And I was surprised at how delicious the chicken enchilada and beef taco combo was! Excellent place to eat, for sure.

My debate partner and I were in town for a tournament and were hungry, so we stopped by this little place. Great move. I wouldn’t say it was anything super special, but the food was quality and tasty. Stop by if you want a decent meal!

Taqueria Santa Rosa #5 is where it’s at! I live in Los Angeles now, but whenever I’m in Santa Rosa I make a point to come by and get a super burrito. Maybe a macho burrito if I’m feeling REALLY hungry. The staff is always friendly and the food is always delicious. They’re chicken quesadillas are also great. And the tortas. It can get a little busy but it never takes more than 7 – 8 minutes to get your order. I don’t agree with the review below that says Su Casa is better. I’ve eaten there plenty of times, and while it is also a good place, Taqueria is much better in my opinion

This place was good. Have been here a few times and tried different items(super burrito this time) and always enjoyed it. It is somewhere that seems consistently tasty over multiple visits. Yes, they do only have one salsa and it has some kick, but it is good. I do like salsa bars and healthy menu options, so if they had that I would have to consider giving 5 stars. Additionally I’ve been to the Mendocino location too and have no complaints. Good service at both places and somewhere I will return.

My go to take-out place in Rincon Valley. Super burrito with chicken, substitute black beans hold the cheese & sour cream & still super flavorful! Very kind owners as well! I messed up & called the wrong place(mendicino one not this one on Montecito) on my way home from a long work day & instead of me driving back, they offered to make my order here while they called the other location to explain.

This place has the best Mexican food in Rincon Valley. I usually order their enchiladas with ground beef which are very good with rice and beans and their carne asada crispy tacos! They won the salsa of the year at the Sonoma County harvest fair in 2011, it is very fresh salsa that you can order in 16 or 22 oz sizes for a great price.

Wow. I really don’t understand why people enjoy this place. 1) They have only ONE type of salsa: Red. and it is not even that good. They DON“T have Pico de Gallo which is absurd. 2) They don’t have Pico de Gallo(yes, i said it again) 3) They don’t have California Burritos, a common favorite. 4) The food is okay, at best. And weird having a burrito without salsa in it. My recommendation: Drive down the road for a minute and go to Su Casa(in Safeway shopping center on Calistoga road). They have many salsas, a CA burrito, and the food is much better quality and staff is much friendlier.

I was told to come here by a coworker… my boyfriend and I were starving and decided to try this place. They guy looked unhappy that we were there and wasn’t very friendly. He got a chicken burrito and there was a bone in it. I got the super nachos, and they were okay… if I’m paying 8 bucks for nachos they need to be better than those were… they didn’t even have meat on them. just sour cream, beans, and guacamole(comes with tomatoes and jalapeños but I don’t like them). We are going to try again another day

So I went back for another Chimichanga — and it was perfect. Lots of Carne Asada and cheese — the tortilla was perfectly fried — light and crispy with a really good flavor. This is what I expect when I order one. I went in — and they must’ve read the review or they were messing with me — I had to tell explain that I didn’t want raw bell pepper and onion in it at least 8 times. And we both understand what each other was saying. Me: ‘I would like a Carne Asada Chimichanga with no onions or bell peppers, just meat and cheese please. Mgr: So you want them on the side. No thank you. You can leave them off. Do you want beans and rice inside it? No — just a regular Chimichanga with meat and cheese. Do you want beans and rice on the side? No, I don’t want beans or rice at all. Are you okay with lettuce on top of it. Yes How about tomato sauce — we usually put tomato sauce on it(The line is getting bigger and I just want to walk away). I just want a Chimichanga with Carne Asada and Cheese inside of it — everything else is the same. So the tomato sauce is okay? Yes Do you want bell peppers and onions then? No thank you. On and on and on. Guess I’m done here. Too bad — because this Chimichanga was Perfection. Maybe I can pay my neighbor to go in next time and ask for it. yeah right. Good meat, good cheese, tasty tortillas — all in all really good food. They also have a nice little seating area outside. Definitely go check it out — I’m not picky, it was probably just the Chimichangas they make differently than any recipe I’ve looked at. Good chips too.

We love coming to taqueria Santa Rosa. Authentic flavors and it’s just darn good. We can find plenty to eat even for our kids or picky friends here. The burritos are massive. Pretty much two meal’s worth.

Good taqueria food at really decent prices. I measure taquerias by 2 things which aren’t the norm so this may not fit for most others reading this. I measure a taqueria on their ceviche(if they have it) and their al pastor. Those two are what make a taqueria for me and this one does both well. Their al pastor is a little dry but the flavor is there. My g/f got the macho burrito and while I didn’t try it… it was gigantic and loaded with the goods. She said that it was tasty. Solid taqueria food, better than many.
