I had the grilled chicken chimichunga and while the portion was generous for me it truly lacked flavor. My food was both dry, not at all crispy and extremely bland. Nothing seemed to be seasoned not even the guacamole. For an unexpected twist the rice and beans were added inside the chimichunga with the red bell peppers and NO onions!!! No onions were in my dish itself at all. Onions are present in the pico de gallo at the ‚“get yourself” salsa bar, but not my meal. I did ask for assistance but my server just pointed in the direction of the salsa bar The service was friendly but not helpful and unfortunately I drowned my dinner in salsa just to continue eating. My friend said her dinner wasn’t much better and she wouldn’t come back.

I don’t know how this place has 4 stars… Very subpar Mexican food, especially for all the taquerias around. We had four different dishes(al pastor, enchiladas, fish tacos, carnitas) and all were not great(and 4⁄5 people had upset stomachs after). The chips I think were store bought(& stale), the guacamole was tasteless and the salsas were bland. The fish was not fresh.

I gave the 5 star test, and su casa passed it! Mines simple. I go to a place 3 times. If there is no complaints at all, I rate 5 stars. Food is awesome. Portions are generous. Chips and salsa are free. Bathrooms clean. Service, professional, and friendly. Dining area, welcoming, clientele is tasteful, people come here when you’re hungry!

We had fish and shrimp tacos. While the portions were generous and the price reasonable we just were not«wow’d» by the flavor or taste. The free chips provided were store bought bagged chips and many were broken with crumb(bottom of the bag) fragments. The salsa bar was decent(a plus). The server was prompt, courteous and efficient(kudos). Unfortunately, the restaurant smelled funky so we ate outside.

Being new in town, needed to find a go-to Mex restaurant. Based on the Unilocal reviews, I was excited to try this place. Wow, what a let down, so much, have to write about it. I ordered the much heralded crab enchiladas and a side of guac. First off, let’s take on the guac. Good guac contains only avocado, with some diced onion and tomato. That’s it! Well, they cut theirs with something(mayo? sour cream?) so what comes to the table is a soupy tasteless mess. Served with a bowl of chip fragments that looked like a bowl of cornflakes. The enchiladas were the smallest I have ever seen, like the size of taquitos. And pretty bland tasting. Sorry Su Casa, your casa is not Mi Casa… I won’t be back.

I haven’t been to this restaurant in 10 years, yesterday I went with some friends after the AHA Heart Walk. They all thanked me after our meal. The food was even more amazing than I remember! Best breakfast in town is no lie. We ordered Texas French Toast, Huevos Ranchceros, Biscuits & Gravy and Corned Beef Benedict. Ah Maze Ing! If you’ve never tried the food here, don’t delay! Not only is the food amazing but the wait staff is prompt and friendly and I love seeing the owner there working alongside his staff, such a great place to eat!

I LOVE this place! Always amazing service from this family operated business. I go here often because it is close to where I live. Small restaurant, but cozy ambiance. My favorite things to eat here are the chilaquiles(on the breakfast menu). YES, they serve breakfast and it is delicious! The rice here is also amazing! Another good item off their menu is the chipotle a La crema off of their specials. Tender chicken smothered in a flavorful cream sauce. So yummy! Their taco salad is also amazing and comes in a crunchy taco shell bowl, which adds the perfect amount of crunch. They have a salsa bar stocked with fresh salsa, jalapeños, onions, cilantro… the works! You can help yourself to those and choose whatever you like! Every time I’ve been here I’ve had incredibly sweet wait staff and efficient service!

I’ve eaten here several times both by take out and dine in. I’m VERY picky when it comes to Mexican food(I don’t like beans, ANY kind of spice and absolutely despise cilantro) so it’s a little hard when we go to Mexican food and I have to say none of the above bc it basically comes with anything you order. Most places will forget one of the above and I’ll be stuck picking through my food. I have never had that problem here. They listen to you and I have never once had them judge me, like other places for not liking cilantro. Their prawn rancheros is probably my favorite thing they make, with the prawn burrito a close second. The only thing that bothers me, which is what most others have said is they don’t make their own chips, they’re store bought.

I’ve been eating here for years. Excellent family run restaurant. Wide variety in the menu from Mexican dishes to tasty omelets. I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal here. As far as the tortilla chips from a bag«controversy», we all buy bagged chips at the grocery store so who cares? Not me. Try Su Casa. You’ll like it!

Okay… I walked in with an open mind after reading Unilocal reviews. Unilocalers are right and the chips did come out of a bag. In fact it was confirmed the chips came out of the 5lb chip bag while on my way to the bathroom. They are well stocked on chips. It is unfortunate they do not make their own chips. ~LIKES: * salsa bar * outdoor seating * great atmosphere * super friendly staff(staff gets 5 star) * onions at the salsa bar(I LOVEONIONS) * great menu selection(lots of choices) * Mc Dougal menu * FAST(food came out in 6 mins) ~DISLIKES: * THEYDONOTMAKETHEIROWNCHIPS!!! * Fish taco wasn’t all that for $ 4.95 * Al Pastor tasted like curry & cinnamon * the enchilada sauce was«Meh» * over all food was«Meh» I gave a nicer review than what my husband would of given. But hey… at least my cheese enchilada was melted.

Love love love this place! Family owned and operated and they are all super friendly. The food is great, especially their breakfast. The Huevos Rancheros and Chiliquiles are my favorites. The beans are amazing. We drive down from Windsor for this place because it’s THAT good!

I ordered the bean and cheese burrito and my husband ordered the chicken burrito with grilled chicken. My husband said the chicken they used was the worst parts of the chicken. We both left about half of our entrees there. The tortilla chips tasted like they were straight out of the bag. Service was fine.

First time there tonite and we were pleased. «funky» décor, a bit outdated and while the service was good, it took us awhile to get our food even though not a lot of guests in the restaurant. But the food was good, fresh and inexpensive. Husband had a super burrito and barely could get through ½ of it. I had two tacos — one carnitas and one pastor — plenty of meat in each and meat was tender and tasty. They have a small serve yourself salsa bar with 2 salsas and some fresh pico di gallo — this was good! Mostly a beer and wine menu but did have pre-mixed margaritas — not great but hit the spot. Alot of mexican restaurants around here seem to have only beer and wine — breaks my heart. There were lots of people picking up to go orders while we were there — and lots seem to be frequent customers. A good decent go-to spot near our home. We will be back.

Just had dinner here. Let me start by saying that the staff is really friendly and nice. That gets them to two stars. But the food was pretty bad. Chips from a bag, enchilada sauce that tasted horrible, and a gummy sad chile relleno. We hoped we would like this place, but most assuredly did not.

Local and close to home. Great prices, clean food. Great service every time. Whenever we want a quick bite that doesn’t break the bank, we drop into Su Casa. Granted this is not 100% authentic Mexican food by any means. However for a girl that grew up in So Cal eating some of the most amazing Mexican food at least twice a week, this one is pretty good. They have a huge menu with all your typical faves, plus they have a complete McDougall menu as well. This visit I ordered one fish taco and it was fantastic. It was piled so high that I was able to make two full size tacos out of it! Hubby ordered the chili relleno and a chicken tostada. He finished every bite on his plate and said it was once again a very satisfying meal. We will keep this one on our list of local neighborhood favorites.
