Oh man, was that a tasty burrito. I’ve been riding my bike past this place a lot recently and have been intrigued by their«Buy one item, get the second ½ off» sign. It seemed perhaps too good to be true. A friend, who traffics only in taco truck fare, swore by this place. He and I have scouted out the best trucks in town in search of the best Asadas and Pastors. We have our differences of opinion but he was spot on about this place. The pastor was really well done and very flavorful. The rice and beans(pinto!) were excellent and the whole thing rolled up well. The staff seemed cool enough. Gave us extra salsa cups(cuz we’re salsa fiends) and didn’t over-ice the waters. I’m not a big Chile Relleno guy so I can’t comment on that. But if you’re in the neighborhood and need a tasty super burrito then this is the spot.

I LOVE this place! My boyfriend is literally addicted to their breakfast burritos, which come steaming hot packed with scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon and cheese. Their salsa’s are awesome, especially the green one! I love the«Breakfast a la mexicana» it’s corn tortillas, hot beans, eggs scrambled with onions and peppers… it’s perfect and SO filling(usually have leftovers for around 6 dollars. The prices here are amazing, breakfast burritos buy 1 get 1 ½ off and they have FRESH squeezed orange juice!

Mediocre Mexican at best. I have worked in the vicinity for 10 years and have never been inspired to visit. Today a co-worker suggested trying it out and I went. The best thing I can say is that they have a salsa bar, like most other Mexican restaurants. Chips were good, homemade. I ordered Chile Rellano and it was OK. I’ve had a lot better but I’ve also had worse. The Rellano was dry, my experiences have been that it is usually served with enchilada or ranchero sauce over the top? Anyways…OK, but will not be a repeat customer. Too much GOOD Mexican food in town to settle for mediocre.

Chalk up another bomb-diggity Mexican restaurant in Sonoma County! This place claims chile verde greatness, and does not disappoint. The highlights for me were the salsa bar, which is almost a requirement for me these days, the chips, which were fresh, crispy and tasted like they’d been made in-house. The restaurant itself has the feel of an old diner, switched into a Mexican joint. My second trip had me face to face with the«titanic burrito» which is basically a giant super burrito served wet, with enchilada sauce and sour cream all over the top. I went to battle with the titanic, in Al Pastor form, and ended up victorious. Overall, great food, great service, nice spot. decent prices… whats not to love?

Came in here for a quick bite since we were exhausted after our weekend in the city! Service was good but food was so so! The thing I did like was the green salsa and slathered it on everything!

Stopped in today for lunch. When this was VIP, I was their number one fan. I hadnt been there since they have changed hands, I think a couple of times. We were there right at lunch time and it was only about half full… maybe. Good news, we sat right down and were delivered our basket o chips… they have a small salsa bar. I wish there would have been labels, cause I had no idea what I was getting myself into… I went for the green, pretty good, liked the chips, ok I took care of the chips no problem… I ordered a super burrito, pastor, and my buddy ordered the enchilada combo plate. It was the usual large taqueria burrito. I was only successfull in eating less than half, but dang that means I dont have to cook tonight! I thought it was good. I would eat it again… yes I would, oh yeah I am eating it again for dinner! hahaha Enchilada was satisfactory also. Service was minimal, but acceptable. I would go back, especially cause it is conviently located near my work. so there, take it for what its worth! adiós

Since this place boasts the best chile verde in town, I had to try the chile verde super burrito. I was sadly disappointed, finding the taste just average and the verde sauce too watery. The restaurant was totally empty — a five-star review below claims this as one of the benefits of this place but I think it’s a clue that Los Primos is sub-primo. The fact that we were the only customers in the joint didn’t keep the waitress from being really slow and inattentive. I had to flag her down just to get the bill. I will say the chips and salsa were good but none of the salsa were spicy enough for me. The only reason I would go back would be to check out their breakfast since that’s another thing they are apparently known for.

I think I have self appointed myself as the desayuno queen of santa rosa taquerias.(Breakfast Queen) as I’ve made it a point to try to go and check out as many restaurants that I can find that serve Mexican Breakfast, and if available try the Chiliquiles and the Huevos con Chorizo(my two favorite dishes for Desayuno) After coming across Taqueria Los Primos and their promise of being voted the best Chile Verde. I of course had to try that too(and it was darn darn tasty, although I am not typically a connoisseur of Chile Verde.) I have also been back to try the Birra(I had mine dry, served with rice and beans & tortillas on the side) The breakfasts are good — and in the little diner café style setting they have going, very kitchsy too) They have a juicer for fresh OJ or Carrot juice — that is out of this world, and a salsa bar, that you can pick your accompaniments at. My dining companions have tried the french toast as well(odd for a mexican restaurant to offer, but according the him dynomite!) and also the bacon wrapped prawns(tocino con camerones) which was also incredible. I am a huge fan of their green salsa, and also their beans and rice, which I could put on just about anything and be very very happy. Service good. Coffee Good. Jugo Good. Prices Great.

A funny thing happened on the way to the Sonoma County Recorders Office. I got distracted by a sign of a mustachioed pig wearing a sombrero… and the county had to wait. Went in to get a birria taco, no goat available even though it’s on the menu, and they usually have it they say… but the carnitas was crispy yet still moist and really tasty. Fish taco was waaay overfried and hardly any fish was left… so it was more like a fried crispy bit taco. They have a salsa bar with fresh tasting and varied pure goodness. I am definitely going back to get some goat. No sense going to government offices when they’re all at lunch anyway. P. S. There is a Baja Fresh right across the street. No reason to go there… this is one of many good taquerias in the area.
