Juanita’s Mexican Restraunt

Love this place!!! Total hidden gem. It doesn’t look like much from the exterior, but 100% worth trying. Amazing food at great prices and wonderful service! I think it’s my new favorite mexican restaurant in town:)

Not a fancy Mexican restaurant but good food for sure !! The CARNE en Su Jugo is my favorite following the red enchilada plate !

I love this restaurant! I go all the time. They have the greatest Verde salsa ever! I got to be honest, I don’t like their guacamole it always tastes old. But that’s my only complaint. I love their big tacos, nachos, everything I order is delicious!

Great prices, fresh food, good salsa bar. I especially like the chips. Very tasty and didn’t hurt my pocket book. I’ll be coming back.

This place was excellent, my super pregnant wife got chile rellenos and I got some type of pork dish because I eat pork about 90% of my meals. Not kidding, I once bit a pig at a farm because «pork», am I right?
Seriously, if you’re ever in Santa Rosa, go here. I went right after I ran a marathon and was able to eat so very much because «pork».
Get a pork dish while you are here, then get one to take home. Pork.

First time here and we were greater good. Our food came out fast but I asked for a burrito and did not enjoyed my burrito. It was to hot that I would byte it and had to take it out. It burned my mouth the whole I take bites. It was burning hot. I had never had a burrito that hot. I even cut the burrito in half so it would get air and it did not work. I ended leaving the restaurant and left the burrito there. I would definitely go back and try something else.

I’m so disappointed and disgusted with this place! The shrimp was not cleaned the chips over cooked and stale and the guacamole was so freaken old! I don’t trust them to remake and correct my order! Never again

My wife an I come here often, the menu is big, the al pastor meat is one of the best al pastors I have ever tried, very authentic Mexican food. They even have a very big breakfast menu. The staff is very friendly. The service is great. We definitely recommend everyone to try this place if your looking for that authentic Mexican taste.

What a good little place. The food was great. Homemade tortillas, a great salsa bar and chips to boot. Service was great. The exterior is truly hiding the gem this place is. Do yourself a favor and stop in for some good grub!

Delicious food, good service and salsa bar! This place might not look great on the outside but you will get really good Mexican food, very hot plates. If you order tacos they will come with home made tortillas. The rice with a good homemade flavor (not like other places that lack of flavor) my new favorite Mexican food place in Santa Rosa.

I have started coming here almost every day for breakfast. There are tons of different items and I haven’t had a bad meal yet. The Tricolor Omelette is particularly delicious. Friendly service and decent coffee.

Amazing! Been going here with my dad for 6 years. I’m 12 by the way. I usually order a mini super burrito which is perfect for a smaller but still flavorful option. Breakfast is good as well. Beware around lunch tho! the place gets packed! But take that as a good sign. It means it’s delicious!

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover nor a restaurant by it’s outside appearance.
This place has WONDERFUL service and I have NEVER had a bad meal there!
I love their shredded beef Titanic Burrito and my wife loves their omelettes!

Wow!!! It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten my way to a stomach-​ache!
We live in Santa Rosa and tonight I had a very serious craving for good Mexican food. We couldn’t think of anywhere that was just good, yummy Mexican food. We’ve driven by Juanita’s about a million times and tonight decided to give it a try.
First of all the service was GREAT! I’m picky about customer service and our server alone earns this place five stars.
The food!!! I had a two item combo with a chicken tamale super-​stuffed with delicious chicken and a beef soft taco with lettuce, avocado and sour cream on the side. Those along with the rice and beans was EXACTLY what I wanted to taste tonight. My husband had chicken and beef fajitas… needless to say he brought half of them home because the serving was so big.
As mentioned, the portions are very generous (hence the belly-​ache LOL), and after dinner they brought us some cinnamon chips with whipped cream. YUM — adding more to my stuffed belly!
To sum it up: Great service, great salsa bar, great food. We will definitely be back.

Very clean and friendly place. The atmosphere is bright and colorful. They have a Salsa bar and a lot of food choices other than traditional Mexican. Breakfast is served all day. Easy parking.

Disappointed.
I had Fiesta Salad with carnitas and my husband had jumbo burrito with carne asada.
Both dishes were very bland and tasteless. The chips were very thick and not very good.
Service was marginal.
I have been pretty disappointed with a lot of the 4+ ratings of places in Santa Rosa. We just moved here in July and we enjoy eating out but a lot of the ratings leave much to be desired.

I’m on a search to find a great Mexican restaurant. Maybe we hit this place on a bad day (New Years). A couple of others we tried to go to were closed for the holiday. Checked out Unilocal and came here.
Everything we ordered was uninspiring. I had a Carnitas Super Burrito. Flavors were fine, nothing spectacular. The Carnitas seemed to be overcooked on the outside. They appeared to be placed on a flat top and maybe left on too long. We also ordered the Pozole… again, fine, but uninspiring.
Service was again, just fine. Sometime service can make up for the food and sometimes the other way around. Everything here was just the same.
With all of the competition around, I was just wanting to find a small place that serves great Mexican food. This just didn’t make it for us. Will keep on my journey.

On my quest to try every taqueria in Sonoma County before I move next year… Finally got around to trying Jaunita’s and was not disappointed.
The menu is filled with authentic Mexican dishes as well as American breakfast and burgers.
Chips and salsa bar to start. Chips are thick and crispy and the salsa bar have 5 delicious salsas to choose from.
I had the Plato de Pollo al la Plancha (plate of chicken breast). This is one of my favorite Mexican dishes, simple grilled chicken breast, rice, beans and tortillas. However I’m weary of always ordering it because they’re usually more than $ 10 a plate and a lot of times you don’t get much food. This wasn’t the issue here! They gave me tons of meat with a generous side of rice and beans. The flavor was delicious the meat was quality! I’ll be back!

I’m a pretty big fan of this place! I absolutely love their carnitas tacos! They’re always delicious. There are never any chunks of fat and they’re always just the right amount of crispy. My husband always orders their fiesta salad with al pastor and he loves it! He is also a fan of their carne asada/​al pastor burritos.
They’ve got a great salsa bar and their service is always good and fast. We’ve never dined in, we usually call in an order and picked it up. I don’t think they’ve ever gotten our order wrong!
My only critique would be that their chips aren’t the best. They often taste a little burnt, but they’re free, so I don’t care. It’s not like I need them anyways!
