I am not much of a take and bake fan — but my hubby really likes their pizza. We normally order the gourmet Veggie pizza and the prices are downright low. They can make you a pizza to go in 5 minutes. or you can call ahead. The ingredients all seem very fresh too.

I see this place when I shop at Safeway and thought I’d try it out after getting sick of paying over $ 20 for a mediocre, medium pizza delivered by Mary’s Pizza Shack(before tip, I might add). Options are scant in my area for pizza/pizza delivery, so I found a coupon online and dropped by Papa Murphy’s. It was 6 or so on a Sunday evening and there was no line. I ordered and was in an out within 4 or 5 minutes, and I paid only about $ 14 for a large 1-topping pizza(cheese and tomato) and a 2-liter of soda. I had a coupon, but I think a large cheese pizza goes for $ 12 without a coupon, which is very reasonable. Staff were friendly. Baked the pizza and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was pretty good! On par with other local pizza joints(not counting wood-fired places — those are in their own elevated category!). The cheese had good flavor(there was plenty of it!), the tomatoes seemed to be ripe and of good quality, and the sauce was decent. We ended up with leftovers, which was nice. The only thing I’d say was not up to par was the crust, which was a bit bland. Regardless, this is MUCH cheaper than some of the other local places and comparable in taste, so I was pretty happy about it overall. I’m not sure why pizzas are so expensive out here, but it’s reassuring to see that a national chain like Papa Murphy’s is on par with some of the local places but without overcharging. I will be returning for sure!

Best pizza in the area — I really like East Coast pizza and there isn’t anywhere that compares but this place for the price and ‘yes’ you have to cook yourself and pick it up — a lot of great flavor here.

New in town and needed to find a go-to pizza place. Well this is it!!! The best ingredients and you cook it at home so it’s piping hot. And they don’t scrimp on the meat!!! thank you thank you thank you I won’t bother going anywhere else.

I love the pizza here. Calling ahead is a great idea. Sometimes they can build up a line during rushes but its still really quite fast. Ive worked at a couple of pizza places so I only like my pizza super hot out of the oven like this. Their goal is to get you in and out in 6 minutes or less and they do pretty darn good. Heard bad things about the Manager, Candy. That’s all. j

Solid pizza for about ½ the price of regular joints. This store is well run, service is quick, ordering over the phone is simple and they are right around the corner from our house.

Good food at reasonable prices. Just cooked up the gourmet vegetarian pizza. Followed the instructions for a crispy pie. Turned out perfectly. Tastes better than 90% of eat-in pizzerias here in Sonoma county. Also bought the chicken Cesar salad. Was crispy fresh. The plastic envelope of dressing was a little gummy, but I give props after reading the ingredient list. It has no BHA, BHT or other chemicals that no one can pronounce. The pizza preparers were all busy, yet cheerful & helpful. Gets my highest recommendation.

I love Papa Murphy’s, but seriously this one is the best! They are fast and friendly, plus they accept expired coupons! They are really nice about it too! I love using them for parties. It’s fast inexpensive and everyone loves pizza! I really like the chicken bacon ranch pizza as well as tge chicago stuffed and the 5 meat stuffed. Cowboy is also a solid choice if you want more of a clssic combination.

The worst Customer service! I was visiting a family in Santa Rosa, every one was hungry and I said I saw a Papa murphy’s why not try it. My brother walked in to pick up 3 pizza’s when he opened his wallet and handed the gal a 50 dollar bill she said No we do not take 50 ‘he would have had maybe 12 dollars in change. Coming. we ended up walking out. and driving down the street to another place ordered another 3 pizzas and guess what they took my 50 smiled, Thanked me and said enjoy your pizza. Maybe the staff should tell all calls that you do not take 50 dollar bills ???

Soooo good! The couple of dollars more to bring home and bake a fresh pizza versus frozen or refrigerated from your grocery store is so worth it. The(original) crust is delicious, not too thick, chewy inside and crispy out. The toppings are quality too — and clearly the cheese is real cheese, unlike a lot of frozen pizzas. This pizza rivals delivery we have had from the highly rated local pizza joints and is much more reasonable. So, unless you are having a lazy moment that requires delivery, give it a try!

I can’t believe someone gave it less than a stellar rating. Perhaps they burnt the pizza, or are thinking about opening up their own pizza place? We love this pizza! It is the best tasting pizza, if you follow their baking directions. Our favorite ones are the thin crust deLite, which has fewer calories(supposedly, but this is pizza right?). I love the taste, the price, the convenience, the location, everything. The staff is always friendly and the service quick, best to call ahead. It is a take and bake pizza, so you do need a good oven, but I have to say for my family, we don’t eat any other pizza!

While the East Bay is full of a plethora of vegan pizza joints, Santa Rosa is — sadly — a bit lacking. Seeing as Xtreme Pizza’s soy cheese pizza has milk in it, and Slice of Life is all the way in Sebastopol, it leaves me somewhat S.O.L. when I’ve got a hankering for some. Lucky for me, there’s Papa Murphy’s. This one is right down the street, and I can stop in and pick up a plain, pre-made crust for $ 3.99(the price is the same across all sizes), head over to Safeway for the fixings, and be eating my fresh, hot, homemade vegan pizza from the comfort of my own home within the hour. Now you might be asking why I can’t just make my own crust? Well, that’s time-consuming, and I still haven’t found THE recipe for pizza crust. For now, Papa Murphy’s is the best I can find — it’s delicious and crisp and consistently good — plus it’s pre-made, so I don’t have to get the kitchen(too) messy…
