I know they are going threw ownership changes and some other changes but I still had a good visit. Food seems to be better than last time I was here. But my server gets all five Stars! Wendy was very pleasant and nice. She never let my water get low and gave me and my table all the attention we needed. I am excited to see what the new owners full vision will be to make this place become there own.

Came here with my girlfriend last Thursday night for drinks. In all honesty I must say this place is the definition of trashy(the setting and as well as the crowd). It was one of those, «Seriously, why did we pick THIS place?» moments. My girl wants to come back in the daytime and try the food, but honestly I wouldn’t trust it.

Simple. If you want to sing karaōke in a dirty smoke filled room with horrible service, go here. If you want good chinese food in a nice restaurant with good service, go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Grungy. Strangely Located. Sparse Crowd. Cigarettes. Shots. Karaōke. Questions? Oh, and I havent eaten at the Chinese Restaurant but I love that its attached to the bar, it adds a certain je né sais quoi…

This is only for the Lounge. Awesome scene with Metal Heads, Tattoed’ Goth Chicks, Grandma and Grandpa all getting into the swing of things. Lots of goofiness with the Karoke and the stripper pole on stage just adds to the people watching. I can’t give it five stars because the song list appeared to be a bit light. But i would certainly go back if I was in the area with friends.

This place may look a little shady but dont judge a book by its cover. I love this scene!

3 stars for the food /5 stars for the bar. Decent Chinese food at a good price(try the honey walnut prawns, and some of the best pot stickers around), but the real reason to come here is the karaōke, Thursday through Sunday nights. The drinks are strong and cheap, and the karaōke scene is always fun. Great people watching. And remember, what happen’s at Rita’s, stays at Rita’s!!!

I have to say, when you walk into an empty restaurant, you have to wonder about the food quality and service quality. This restaurant well exceeded my expectations on both accounts. The service was top notch. The food was great. The early bird specials are fantastic, a sit down meal for $ 7.50? Not bad at all. I’ve been to the place several times, and it has always been as empty as Chernobyl the day after. The lounge next door always has at least a few people in it, so they must be carrying the place with alcohol sales. The lounge really shouldn’t be carrying the place, the restaurant can clearly stand on its own. On top of it, the place is absolutely huge, making the lack of patrons even more jarring when you sit there. I think the lounge has a karaōke night, perhaps that helps them as well.

The Chinese food — almost mediocre. The burgers are good as is the french dip. Soups are usually very good. The bar — what a scene. Either sports or karaōke. They’ll seve your food in the bar. It’s an interesting environment, fun people watching and they serve an honest drink. It has no pretense — it is what it is.

Karaōke here is AWESOME! So much fun! There’s a nice mix between people who are serious singers, and folks that just want to get up there and have fun and/or make an a$$ out of themselves. Either way, it’s a fun– entertaining crowd and a great venue for karaōke. The drinks are pretty well priced and, with the one exception of flat tonic, pretty well made. I can’t speak to the food since I’ve never eaten there, but I definitely plan to go again for karaōke. Get there between 9 and 10 if you plan to hit the stage and want to sing before 11. The list starts getting pretty long after that.

We’re from LA and on our vacation to Napa Valley when we ran into this whole in the wall place for Lunch. For what the Money this place is GREAT! $ 15 for 2 combo plates that can feed 4! wow! Place was empty at the time so all the attention was on us, waitress was very nice and the food was great. What else do you need to know?

I went with a couple of my friends for dinner on a thursday night. We were the only ones in the restaurant… but I loved the food. I thought it was very tasty chinese food. our waitress was great, and totally understood we were there to have fun… I appreciated her good service. We had a great meal, with soup etc… very tasty, great pork fried rice, lemon chicken mongolian beef. Hot and sour soup was too die for yummmm The leftovers were good too… I wish I lived in Santa Rosa, cause I would definitely do takeout from Ritas… Everyone talks about the Karokee but the food is really good… go check it out… I think you will like it!

Soooo much fun on Karaōke nights! You get the crazy old ladies dancing and the people playing American Idol. I always meet fun people here. The bartenders are always pretty nice guys, and seriously this place makes the strongest drinks in town. I ate here once about a year ago with my sister, and we really really liked the food. I didn’t expect to since this place is known for its bar scene, but the food is surprisingly good!

We went to Rita’s to have some drinks and watch the karaōke. The karaōke crowd is a different crowd. They range from hooker like creatures, obese shut ins, poison era rockers, and tattooed wearing vagrants. This makes for some of the best people watching you can get at a bar. The singers are very serious about their craft, but obviously serious doesn’t mean talented. Rita’s is the only karaōke bar I have seen with a dance floor, but the floor was packed all night. Long live Whitesnake and Scandal. I definately recommend this bar for all crowds.

Ritas gets 3 stars cause I like that they have ketchup for my fried rice(don’t ask — it’s a strange thing of mine, but really tasty) The bar is more the reason to go. Some of the patrons take the whole thing really really seriously(is karaōke people) the whole stripper pole now on the stage adds an interesting twist to the plot if I do say so myself. I tend to come for a little fried rice, and then sit back and people watch the rest of the evening — decent drinks, better people watching. It’s a haven for sitting back, and watching, and just saying to yourself… really?

Wow, the lounge is very scary. I had the interesting opportunity to visit on «Pimp and Ho» night. I guess it was fun for the regulars, who looked like they came from The Island of Misfit Toys. Let’s see, there was the guy who looked like a Dungeon Master in a pink felt hat with a feather, the skaggy old tubby lady in the leather pushup outfit and the Lurch-looking fellow in the purple lamé shirt open to his bellybutton. Yeah, and some guy slaughtering Bruce Springsteen on the karaōke mic. /shudder No thank you!

I have a love hate relationship with this place. There’s a lot of interesting people watching on karaōke nights, which is the main attraction. However, its the closest bar to me and that goes a long way. A bar that I can walk to is a serious advantage. The bartenders are all really cool, but the security staff always acts like I’m trying to pull a fast one, scrutinizing my ID like I’m 19. On weekends they charge a cover, and towards the end of the night, this place can get packed. It all shines when you see the wacky assortment of karaōke singers though. For a measly buck, you can really get some entertainment. Plus, they take my debit card. Watch the well drinks though. I can’t tell you many times that battery acid has left me incapicitated the next morning.

I’ve only eaten here a couple times and it’s pretty average for Chinese food. The bar is great! Pretty dive-y but lots of interesting characters(particularly good fodder for the«your team» game). Watching drunk karaōke-ers make fools of themselves is the best part(although it’s usually a $ 1 cover, so come with cash). The bartenders are super friendly and remember names and faces quite well. Going there always feels like home. And if I get too drunk, I know I can always stumble up the hill and crash and mom and dad’s. Convenient.

Let me begin by noting that Rita’s is located in a suburban strip mall, between a Baskin Robins and a Safeway. Like any other Chinese restaurant that transforms to the most popular karaōke bar in the area each night– naturally it has a certain charm that can only be appreciated by those with a non judgmental aesthetic. For that matter– any judgments at all need to be checked at the door with the one dollar cover. The crowd is mixed– from karaōke veterans to bachelorette parties. Everyone is down to earth and just there to have a good time. You can show up in jeans and a t-shirt or full on out on the town attire. Nobody cares. Dance, get drunk, sing really awful Journey songs, hook up with strangers, talk trash about chick attempting to take on Mariah Carey… its all in good fun. Be prepared for some fun people watching and strong cheap drinks.
