I lived in Bennett Valley for 13 years. I’ve moved out of state and yet to find a place that I love as much as Borolos. Quality ingredients make a difference! I miss the olive oil, prosciutto, pine nuts and mushrooms with a glass of red wine. I miss the cilantro pesto, grilled chicken, anaheimchilies with a margarita. I miss a great dough with every option. I’m now in Vegas which has an enormous selection of dinging options. There are OK pizzas and good pizzas but not great pizzas. If Borolos offered a viable franchise and I could afford it. .I would totally go for it. If they opened one on the west side and needed a fan/manager… I would go for that too! Unless something has changed since my last visit, I would count myself as a huge fan.

Not very good pizza in my opinion. The crust is bland and the sauce is dry and tastes like straight tomato paste. Toppings were pretty high quality an tasty but could make up for a bland pie underneath. Its possible i got a bad one but i just dont think I like the way they do their pizza. Will probably never try again as there have got to be better options around

Good stuff. Not the most exquisite pizza you will ever experience in your life maybe… but pretty tasty and the sourdough they use for the crust is great. Friendly staff, kooky artwork, convenient location. No complaints.

Where do I start? The pizza is mediocre, yes it may be «freshly prepared» but lacks originality. The pizza itself is so greasy, yes the sauce was a little on the runny side but the crust lacked flavor. The prices are pretty good considering what you get, I just don’t understand why New York styled pizza is popular here in California, especially if it’s not done properly like on the East Coast. Needless to say after my two pizza deliveries I doubt I will ever order again. The inside is way too quaint & the atmosphere when you walk in is a bit awkward. If you’re looking for mediocre pizza at a fair price this place is all yours!

This pizza is all hand made, the dough, the sauce, so good! And way underpriced for what you get! The personnel that works there are just delightful. A true treat!

Home made everything! You can easily see the cooks behind the counter making all the sauces, salad dressings, and even the dough! You can definitely taste the freshness and subtle differences in the herbs. Highly recommended for fans of NY style pizza.

I read so many bad reviews for this place, but I must say my experience was different. As a NY pizza snob I’m pretty picky about my pizza. But after a last minute dinner option, this place did not disappoint. I was surprised that I had to order a slice 10 minutes in advance since they’re made to order, but the wait was worth it. I had the spring creek slice with cheese(it’s vegetarian) and it was delicious. I had to come back to order another since my husband ending up having half of mine. I’ve been back and so far so good. Service was fine and it look exactly 10 minutes each time just like they told me, which I really appreciate. But once again, Sonoma county pizza prices are a bit ridiculous, but it’s really good so I guess it’s worth it and it’ll have to do.

I have ordered a few times here. We always order by the slice and it is always done fast. Their pizza is very thin style but I like that. It is also fairly priced. I would recommend to go here if you just want to grab a quick bite.

Apparently this is a new owner who has decided they can do better than what built a successful and popular place? Big sign that says slices. To me that means there are slices on hand that maybe have to be reheated. Nope. They make them when you order them. That’s called ordering pizza. The opposite of grabbing a quick slice. Then…I don’t even know what the mess was I ate. There’s a show called The Profit. They should watch every episode. It’s about business owners that stubbornly think they are right despite what everyone else says.

Since moving to Santa Rosa from New York, we know what good pizza is. Among most of the local Santa Rosa joints, this place came close. That is, until recently. It appears there are new owners and they do not know how to make pizza. I’ve had frozen pizza that tasted better

I’m always excited to try good pizza, but borolos disappoints with quality, flavor, crust and price. The menu looks very appetizing but taste leaves a lot to be desired. Using organic cheese and fancy pizza names and ingredient combos isn’t enough to overcome all the other failings. I know many others like this place but it must be because they like locally owned places over chains. But I’ll take any chain pizza over a borolos any day; better taste and quality and save a lot of money at the same time.

I’ll give them 2 stars for having more interesting toppings than most but the pizza earns 1 star. Easily the worst pizza I’ve had in Santa Rosa. The crust is terrible and dose not get brown. Not enough toppings ect.

Ordered several times from Borolos. Lots of options in the area but we always get our pizza here. I typically don’t like thin crust but this is the best pizza by far in the area. It also doesn’t seem to bloat me as much as other places.

I can tell this pizza is natural by the taste of the sauce and crust it is made of. The pesto breadsticks are absolutely incredible. I also want to thank whoever I talked to on the phone. I called a few days ago for delivery and forgot to order ranch dressing. I called back a few minutes later and the guy on the phone said the delivery boy had already left but that he would bring some by on their next delivery. I literally had extra ranch dressing delivered to my house. Now that’s what I call customer service. Borolos DEFINETELY«Wowed» me. Thanks again everyone. P. s. Pizza is delicious

These guys are awesomeness. They remembered a free pizza they owed me after probably 9 months. They had changed ownership and still had it in the computer! They didn’t gripe or whine. They just gave me the most beautiful pizza I had ever seen. It was a circle of yummy joy. Like Always.

Tried Borolos again and the pizza was fantastic! The dough is just right and the sauce and ingredients taste really fresh. Their breadesticks are pretty good too.

I have been there 4 times in the past. The first time — my wife and I enjoyed on of the best pizzas ever. Delicious crust with ample toppings — Italian sausage, mushrooms with anchovies — Nirvana! 6 months later, after that initial burst of culinary brilliance — the quality and overall taste of the pizza declined rapidly — till the last pizza we purchased was a sorry, skimpy, stale, burned mess that wasn’t even finished. Since that last pizza — we haven’t been back. However, I saw in one of Unilocal Reviews«under new ownership» so may be we’ll give it a try again someday. Maybe.

About 2x the price of Dominos and Poop Johns but also about 2x the ingredient quality. Thin sourdough crust alone makes pizza a whole lot less hard on your body than the usual bloated lardy cheap stuff. The chicken combos are all good if you don’t mind a «white» pizza, Sir Meats-A-Lot is great if you don’t mind a mild coronary. Downsides — Slices are really pricey at 4 bucks for cheese plus 50 cents each topping(they are a good size though.) No sides offered except breadsticks and a couple of salads. Delivery only from 4 to 9 pm and they charge 2 bucks for it.

A few details to help you decide about their pizza: Sourdough pizza crust. Organic mozzarella. Homemade sauces. Slices made to order. NY style, floppy softness to the crust and almost paper thin. Pizza baked in hot stone ovens. I am a fan of paper thin cracker crust but that isn’t what this is. This is a very thin, floppy, NY inspired and the slice can be folded easily. If you try to shovel it into your pie-hole you risk dropping all of its toppings onto your neck and shirt. For that quick weekday lunch, it’s a great option. Slices are made to order and billed accordingly. I got a tasty red sauced slice with spicy sausage and jalapenos for about five dollars. I was pleasantly surprised when the baker asked which type of sausage I wanted. Nice to have options. The slice was about the size of a Bohemian paper and they will cut it in half for you. I could taste herbs in the sauce and it was slightly sweet, it melded well with the spicy of the sausage. If they offered a French bread sandwich with red sauce and that spicy sausage I would probably order it. Whether you order in the day or the evening it’s like two completely different atmospheres. During the day it can be a quiet place to grab a slice and at night the music might be pumping and there’s energy coming from the cooks. It’s a small business and my only gripe are their opening & closing times. If you aren’t going to be there or you know for some reason you have to be closed, alert the rest of us. Change your voicemail to indicate it or put a sign in the window. Please.
