The service always seems lacking on busy nights but as soon as my beer kicked in I could tolerate that, that and when the kids got their bread basket. The grand finale was when my polenta and Italian sausage made its way… omg…it’s pretty darn good :) happy mommy

A great restaurant to satisfy your Italian tastebuds! Every time we come to town we make a point to dine at Mary’s Pizza Shack. With a warm environment, excellent service, and delicious food you can’t go wrong. We always start with the bruschetta, as it’s a favorite. Then this time we got a little pizza, pasta, and salad. We had the Hawaiian pizza, lasagna, spaghetti, and tossed salad. It was all delicious. Our server Torina was a big part of why our visit to Mary’s was so wonderful. She was very helpful with deciding what we wanted, she made us feel very welcome, and consistently checked up on us. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Mary’s is a staple around Sonoma County. It’s fairly consistent food but I just don’t get excited about it. One of the ‘Rare’ places that delivers every day, reasonable, good sized portions, and friendly people at every location I’ve been too. Maybe I ate it too many times but the meatballs have a strange flavor in them — not a meatball I would expect. Like maybe they put something in there to make it huge without all of the meat. The red sauce isn’t good. And the I don’t care for the pizza either. The Hamburger is one of the better menu items. So if you didn’t grow up on good Italian food or DON’T consider yourself a ‘foodie’ I would say go. Because everything is well done here unless you like anything near authentic Italian food. I would send my aunt’s and uncle’s here — they like boiled ham and cabbage. If you like bland boiled food, or better yet Amish food then this is definitely your place.

Great food, besides pizza. Staff very friendly and provide good service. Eggplant lasagna especially good.

I’ve gotten take out a few times from here and they always drop the ball. I called my order in for a medium pizza and a small salad, showed up 30 minutes later and it wasn’t ready. Not only wasn’t it ready, it wasn’t even in their system for the kitchen, even though they were able to charge me for it. So I waited while they tried to make my pizza. They pizza guys didn’t seem to get that they had screwed up and had no urgency. Of course the pizza was made and it was underdone. They gave me a gift card for less than the value of my meal, so I won’t be back. I’ll just get cash for the card. They have mediocre food anyway, so I’ll just go somewhere else.

This place is always packed when I’ve come to pick up on the weekends. I have always ordered pickup or delivery. Typically I get a 13-inch pizza with cheese and tomatoes, and I enjoy it enough. Not bad, not amazing, but decent if you’re too tired to cook or go out. It tastes like standard pizza that doesn’t really have a claim to fame with great sauce, or amazing cheese, or flavorful crust. This is middle-of-the-road pizza. I’ve had the eggplant parmesan, which was quite tasty, I will say. Delivery time is usually around an hour or up to an hour and 15 minutes, so if you call in, don’t expect fast delivery, but they are upfront about delivery times on the phone. Prices seem a bit high for the pizza. To add a topping to the medium, 13-inch pizza, it ended up costing around $ 18 before taxes or delivery charges. For a medium one topping! Seems excessive. A large cheese pizza is $ 21, which is also high. Overall, not bad, not amazing, but I’ll keep looking for a better deal in the area. If I can’t find anything, I’ll probably come back once in awhile. It’ll do in a pinch.

My friend took me to Mary’s after a movie next door, my first time. I ordered the minestrone and the new chicken ravioli. The minestrone was lukewarm. I thought of asking that it be replaced, but I was very hungry, so I decided to just eat it quickly before it was full-on cold. I commented on this to our server, Mike. He was surprised — said the minestrone was kept at 185−190°. This soup certainly wasn’t. Mike said that sometimes when they add a new batch of soup to the old, it takes a while to heat up. That didn’t make sense to me. I simply said that whatever the reason, they had no business sending barely-warm soup out to a customer. I was really looking forward to the chicken ravioli, particularly since the menu said it included caramelized onions. Ha! The onions were in no way caramelized. They had none of the sweetness. That really changed the flavor of the dish. My friend tasted the onions, shook her head, agreed that they were not at all caramelized. Twice on one meal, the kitchen didn’t get it right. This doesn’t give me much faith about the quality of a subsequent meal.

After trying Mary’s pizza for the first time, I was impressed! This pizza made it to my top 10 pizza list, and yes my list of pizza goes up to 10 since I love pizza too much, top 5 isn’t going to cut it for me. The place itself is clean, prices are reasonable, customer service was good, and the patio out front is nice, especially at night. I believe we had pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom on our pizza. Oh man was my mouth watering like a dog on a hot summer day. It’s the only way to explain how much taste and flavor this pizza had. Unfortunately theres no Mary’s pizza down where I live, so you already know when I’m up here visiting again I will be stopping by.

I’ve been coming to this Mary’s for quite some time. Have been to some others and really feel that this one is the best all around. This restaurant a solid 3.5 stars and I’m a frequent patron. The place has a bustling atmosphere during peek hours, with warm aromas of pizza, garlic and pasta sauce wafting through the air. Enough to make your stomach rumble walking through the door. Little less crowded on the weekdays, making it a cozy, intimate atmosphere. They have recently added outside seating with heaters a few years ago. Some of my favorite pasta staples include the pesto pasta along with the hearty, delectable Tortellini a la Mary’s with creamy marinara sauce. Their spaghetti is satisfying, rounded out with a well seasoned sauce. The only down side of the dish; ordering the spaghetti over the years, the dish has had less and less sauce. Every time I order it we have to ask for extra, not a problem when dining in,(they don’t charge extra) but a problem with take out orders, it rarely gets added. Still, a great choice if you’re in the mood for a opulent, tasteful spaghetti. Recommend ordering your own custom pizza, we love our Mary’s meatball, caramelized onion and mushroom pizza. It’s always fire oven baked, no crunchy, burnt crusts or under cooked dough. My only spoonful of saltiness is with the sometimes inattentive, hurried & unfriendly staff. Had some great interactions with staff in the past here, people that remember you and smile, with an attention to detail. Guess it’s hard to find good help these days at times. All in all, a really nice place to enjoy a flavorful, creamy pasta or slice of garlicky hot pizza with your favorite dining companion

I have been coming to this Mary’s Pizza Shack location since the dawn of time. Since before time was kept. Before watches, clocks and even sundials. Even before man. Seriously, a long time. I recently came back to this location after a long absence and noticed not much has changed, but that’s not a bad thing. It is located in the same parking lot as a movie theater and several other restaurants. So parking is always an adventure(not in a good way). Oh did I mention it was also across the street from a park? Parking lot hell. They have recently added a patio in front which is nice to sit at and look at the park and people circling the parking lot. There are also plenty of tables inside as well as a nice waiting area where you can watch the food being made. I had the small Napoletana pizza which was reminiscent of a Margherita pizza with light mozzarella cheese, basil, garlic, olive oil and tomatoes. I thought the pizza had good flavor and I really liked the garlic olive oil sauce. I just didn’t realize how many tomatoes would be on it. Literally two to three cut up tomatoes. Next time I will say no tomatoes. I also find their pizzas always get soggy in the middle and remember this from when I was a kid. It’s still this way. Otherwise great! My Mom got the Bacon Cheeseburger with a side salad which she loved and my Dad got a side salad with Chicken Tenders which he thought was great. My Sister got a full house salad and she loved it as well. One thing Mary’s does really well is make great salads. Fact. I will definitely keep coming back here, my parents love to come here all the time and there is never a wait or a very small one. They have a nice big menu and something for everyone.

I’d give this place a solid 3.5 rating. It’s my second time at Mary’s Pizza shack. It’s a good place to take the family. Has a cozy atmosphere and nice little patio outside. Everything is reasonably price and they have a giant menu along with lots of options for the kids. I had a Cobb salad and it was HUGE. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. My husband had pesto linguine and minestrone soup. He said the soup was thick and creamy instead of watery and nasty, haha. We tried 2 pizzas before and was not disappointed. The staff is nice but service is a little slow. And I wish they’d expand their craft beer selection but all in all a decent place to go!
