We were so disappointed with this place. After reading all the reviews we were excited to try it. Unfortunately it was just eh. We started with the kale and artichoke dip. If you can imagine the texture of mashed potatoes and the taste of sauerkraut with garlic, you would be right on the money. Not BAD, but very odd. The mac and cheeses with different meats(we tried the brisket, truffle, and chorizo ones) were okay. Again — not bad. Not really good either. It really missed the mark for us despite the good service.

Where do I start? I love this place– admittedly too much. Yes, there’s great food & a fun atmosphere but the staff really make the restaurant the amazing place it is. I’ve never taken to a place so quickly but I love everyone that works here, especially Evan. It’s a little weird naming an actual bartender… but he really makes the experience what it is. He’s even scared away creepy guys from us & given us life advice. Isn’t that what everyone wants in a bartender? You should absolutely come to Belly for the food, beer & Evan.

Dinner last night: Veggie pozole: we sent it back. Weird spice combo. House salad: awesome. Chicken wings: really good. Burrata platter: really good. Drunken shrimp: delicious. Pork belly: it was good but it was the last dish and all of us were too full. The ceviche with the pico de gallo — incredible — perfectly seasoned. Topper: order the Brut from Spain if you’re not into beer = a beautiful beverage.

Got pork belly lunch special. It was fantastic. The server tyler was great. He recommended a fried egg with it. Best decision ever! The salad with it was good. Only downside was its expensive(25 bucks for pork belly lunch and a fusion 35). Other downside was pork belly had a LOT of fat on it. Note you could take it home and melt it onto bread, but i wasnt expecting so much fat

I’ve been here a few times now and have enjoyed each experience. Unfortunately I’ve been a creature of habit each time and not explored the menu much but I can tell you the surf and turf tacos are amazing! I did explore the brussel sprouts with chorizo and it was also well done. The chorizo chunks were larger than I expected, rough cut. I would have preferred a smaller cut and more universal but that’s just a matter of preference. Large beer list and Wednesday is wine day where all bottles are half off. I appreciate they offer some gluten free beer aside from ciders as an option. Only Sonoma Cider brand available here, so meh on that option, but I’m sure some folks love it. Clean, industrial décor. Family style seating as well as intimate table options. It’s a solid addition to downtown. Great spot to meet friends, date night, or with a group for happy hour.

I heard a lot of hype about this place, so a new colleague and I headed here for a work lunch on a Monday. The menu looked good, so we started with the ceviche – holy cow they do not skimp on this appetizer! Plenty of seafood and the quality was excellent. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich as my lunch item, and it was just OK – nothing out of this world, but nothing that was horribly wrong, either. It reminded me what I make in the slow cooker at home in a slow cooker, to be honest. The service was good, but we were still enjoying our appetizer when the lunches showed up, so we had to scramble to move things around to make room at our table. If they were paying attention they would have seen we were still enjoying the appetizer which was in front of us and talking, not yet ready for the lunch. I would go back to give it another shot when in the area, but definitely not something I will seek out as a favorite to return to.

Was really impressed with this restaurant/bar in downtown Santa Rosa. We tried a mix of a lot of different options on the menu, and they were all pretty decent. They had jalapeño poppers and ribs on the specials list as appetizers. Tried both– and liked a lot. Also tried grilled artichoke– wasn’t sure how to eat this one as it was so chewy. But the aioli it came with was great. Also tried the pork belly– best thing about this was the veg it came with. Wanted more! Finished with white chocolate bread pudding and ice cream which was massive! Loved the ice cream and white chocolate chunks. The pudding was good but I have had better. The wine choices are impressive and all local. Staff very attentive and it’s incredibly reasonable in terms of prices. Wanted to buy their cool t shirts but didn’t have my size. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that it’s not the most comfortable seating area. Not a big fan of high stools. But would come here a lot if I lived here!

After over hearing the waitress at the bar next door complain about having to split checks and having to wait to order. We, our group of 8, decided to go to Belly for beers. We weren’t even there a couple of minutes when we were greeted and asked if we wanted a table. We sat outside for a bit, then ushered back inside to a table. Food, beer & Service A+! Not just this night, but every time we’re here. Keep up the excellent work Nikki and Kass!

The beers and food are overpriced. There is live music on weekends, which ultimately helps. So, to a certain extent, you have to pay for extra entertainment. Bartenders are professional; but the beer and food they serve are just too pricey for less value.

Pretty average. The $ 4 happy hour wings were solid if you like Frank’s Hot Sauce, which I do. The happy hour IPA was flat so it was probably just an old-ish keg that didn’t sell – but honestly, that was my mistake, as the beers off the menu aren’t that expensive so you might as well get something there. I got the burger, which didn’t really taste like anything; also, if you want to get it, don’t order it medium rare because it seemed like it was close to being that kind of scary rare where you might get sick. My boyfriend got the Pulled Pork Cuban which legitimately had lunch meat in it, like the store-bought type you would make for your high school lunch. It was… not good. However, there was no wait(after seeing the line for Russian River Brewing Company, this was a welcome sight), and the service was quick.

We ordered 5 items and honestly I wouldn’t recommend anyone of them to anyone. Not so good. Bland. Something missing. Would not come back. The white sangria was delicious!

Decent selection of beer and wine and some interesting menu choices, but the food wasn’t all that impressive. The pork slider was divine, so I would suggest loading up on those during happy hour. The mac n cheese was fairly flavorless and the pizza bland, but the service was pleasant and the place has good ambiance.

As far as gastropubs go, this place is excellent. I really can’t think of anything that detracted from my experience here. The atmosphere is awesome — the dining room is a cozy area with bar seating, TVs, and a semi-rustic feel. The wait staff is friendly and eager to make your dining experience a pleasant one. I went with about 5 co-workers, and we ordered drinks, appetizers, and dinner. The waiter was attentive to our table throughout the night. The beer selection was pretty impressive, and the food was really good. I had the burger, and others at the table had the pulled pork sliders and the belly salad. For appetizers, we ordered the wings, the chorizo brussel sprouts, and the burrata cheese board. Honestly, everything was really good. I could definitely see myself coming back here in the future. I’ve been to other restaurants in the area, and Belly is by far the best I’ve been to in downtown Santa Rosa.

Where do I begin. I was treated to this fine establishment for dinner and drinks last night. Started of sampling the beers at the bar to find out how I could satisfy my taste buds. The bartender was awesome and very helpful of nearing my choices down for my beer flight. So it came down to the lucky four beers(BROB, PU240, Campfire, and Napa Amber) hands down the Campfire was money! Full of flavor, smooth, and just had it own unique taste compared to all the other beers. The food: started with the appetizers. Ate these delicious dates wrapped in bacon with the sweet taste of the dates followed by the awesome bacon flavor all in one! Then came our fish tacos, two good sized tacos full of color! Dress with the colorful salsa! They where mouthwatering to look at but even better going down! But the best is yet to come! I was introduced to the manger Nick or Nicki as he goes by, talk us into trying the desert. The chocolate moose made with campfire brew + a cold pint of campfire was absolutely to die for! Hands down the service was absolutely fantastic, food was delicious and the beer mouthwatering!

Another first for me — love exploring all the restaurants in the area. This is NOT a place to go if you are watching your calories but if you like pork and beer — GO! The pork belly banh mi was fantastic! and a lovely mixed green side salad with it too. Friends ordered pulled pork sliders, chirizo taces, burrata salad and a huge wedge salad with extra bacon. Everyone was super happy with their meal. Lots and lots of beers on tap — and you can have a small taster to figure out which one to get. Cool funky atmosphere, good service, opens out to the street which is nice on such a lovely day. I’ll be back!

Really enjoyed this place. A very interesting menu with great prices… tried the chorizo brussel sprouts and the surf n turf tacos. We also ordered pulled pork tacos and chicken wings from the happy hour menu. The food came out quickly, great presentation and tasted fabulous. Would definitely cone back again!

We had gone here quite a few times and those times were great.(Only because Cass was great and made sure if it!) The last time we were here it seemed like nothing was going right. Food all wrong. Drinks took forever. Even getting silverware took us getting ready to walk out because we weren’t getting simple silverware to eat our food that was getting cold. May have just been a freak«weird» night. But will not return or recommend.

This place is INSANE! I’ve been here twice and have to tell you the staff are great and are clearly having fun with their jobs. My buddy and I walked in to get a bite but only want to share a few appetizers and call it good. We ordered the pizza, meat plate, and the two hog Mac & Cheese with Chorizo. First off I can’t contain myself when I’m taking about the Mac & Cheese with Chorizo. It completely makes you wanna slap your grandma it’s so good. The meat and cheese dish was fresh and fantastic. Last but not least the pizza was a nice topper of the night. We got the beer paddle with a nice selection of great beers. The bartender were helpful and funny. Couldn’t have asked for a better time and fantastic food. MAC& Cheese! Don’t go with Grandma!

Cool place. Have had some tough instances of trying to flag down a waitress to order food. Tasty food though, really dug the pulled pork sliders, $ 13, soft, juicy, tender, like biting into a Luther Vandross song. The roasted beet & arugula salad was fresh, crispy and delicioso, $ 8. If your up for a larger meal, the braised pork belly, $ 21, fills you up with a good portion. A ton of micro brews to choose from that change from time to time, happy hour is from 3pm-6pm

Nice relaxing open air bar & restaurant. Really good food. I highly recommend the banh mi lunch special and the bacon wrapped dates. Great beer selection, and a couple great ciders on tap, too. Good happy hour food specials all day in Sunday. Lunch specials Monday thru Saturday.
