Absolutely amazing food and service. Super friendly staff. Shout-out to Chef Alan and to «shy» Mathieux, thank you for the warm conversation. You must have the sweet potato pie and the bread pudding. Their wine, delicious! Quiet, cute, quaint — you must stop by.

This place seriously made our night. The service was amazing. Bar tender/sommelier Mathew was extremely knowledgeable and kind. The food? To die for. My friends and I ended our night here because nothing could have topped our experience here. Thank you for an awesome night. We will definitely be returning.

I love this little place! The food is wonderful, the people are great, the beer is good, and they have live music on the weekends! The music, food, and location are the draw here. More wine selections would be a valuable addition. Very friendly folks!

We stopped in here for dinner based on the recommendation from the woman we were staying with for the evening while on vacation. We wanted to go wine tasting but got in too late so we thought this might be an acceptable alternative. I’ve never been in a wine bar so wasn’t sure what to expect. Turns out you could get a three course meal paired with wine for around $ 25-$ 30 per person. I think the best part of the evening was the fact that our meal was served to us by the chef because the only other person was the bartender. I thought that was pretty cool and we were able to have a nice chat. I would have loved if the chef and bartender were more in sync so our food and wine arrived at the same time however. The food wasn’t bad. The salad was good. The main course was just ok. It was a twice baked potato with cold cream of cod poured over the top and a lemon butter. I would really have preferred something more meaty and substantial but it wasn’t bad. The dessert was the best. Bread pudding with a cinnamon whipped cream. That was great. All in all a wonderful evening and we got to try something new and different.

Good place — good food available which is rare at a wine bar, sometimes they have a trio set up in the back playing live music — that’s hard to find in Santa Rosa for some reason. Last time I was there the singer was sitting on the couch and she had a beautiful voice. And service was great — sure it took the guy 10 minutes to get to me because he was tending to other people but once he got to us he took great care of us and really knows his product. They also had some beer on tap there that I thought was excellent — fortunately, the guy taking care of us was the brew master — he was awesome. If I was going to list a con it’s that I would want more of a wine selection — but it’s not my place haha. And the Italian wines were Excellent! But you have to know and like Italian wines which are typically(95% of the time) higher in acidity — much higher — much much higher and go great with food! They are not high ph wines that are made here and blow you away with fruity jammyness — but they have those wines too in their California collection. Italian wine is an education for most people(even wine people) — Get some tapas or a charcuterie plate and tell the staff what kind of wine you lean towards and ask them to recommend a couple Italian wines to pair with your food and your WOC(wine of choice). Meaning if you always get Pinot Noir then tell them that — most likely they’ll go towards Sangiovese varietals versus Nebbiolo. Or maybe they won’t — but they know what their doing better than you do — so ask questions and be creative. Or just order their Pinot Noir — it’s delicious, as is the Cab and everything else from Fritz and Longboard. There’s way more going on here than the average wine bar.

My husband and I strolled in off the street to this lovely little wine bar in the Railway Square area. Turns out this is Lost Canyon Winery’s place. Our server, Matthew, and bartender TJ, were very friendly and welcoming. I had the 3 course meal for $ 20. OMG! Chef Helene is a wonder! The food was delicious as was my husbands steak panini. Matthew had told us the bread pudding would make you want to slap your momma and he wasn’t kidding! It along with everything else was to die for. The wine pairings fit perfectly. There was even live music to add to the ambiance. Highly recommend!!!

An undercover wine bar with a surprisingly good snack menu. Friendly service, comfortable seating. I love coming in for a glass of wine and an appetizer.

Well crafted food from a chef that cares and wants to really hear what you thought of your meal. The staff is super friendly, as is the clientele. You may very well spend the entire visit in conversation with either your bartenders or a new friend in the seat next to you. Nice wine selection, but too little variety in bottle price.(a bit rich for my blood)

Went into to watch a live band. Amazed soon as I stepped in the building. FIrst of all, it is such a clean place. Then the design of using the bottles of wine that double as art work. Stunning. Great selection of wines to boot. Did not try the food, but if it is anything like the wines, wow.

As mentioned in my check in, got no service. Had to walk out. Bartender only had two groups. Some other guy was sitting and drinking wine with guest and didn’t say jack to us. Never treated like this at even the most crowded dive bars ever

Wine, food, and music are ok but don’t bother ordering wine from this place. The management is so bad that: (1) They don’t return calls despite multiple messages, even if you call their«personal cell phone» for«prompt service» (2) Can’t get anything right I ordered wine and two months later had not received it. As mentioned left multiple messages but never received a return call, you have to catch them at THEIR convenience. When I finally reached them, the manager Sal said he would«make everything right immediately», then I heard NOTHING for another month. After hunting Sal down again up came another excuse and then another disappearing act. I spoke directly to the winery in the end and found out Sal: (1) Got the address wrong (2) Got the phone number wrong (3) Only put in the order after the second call I finally had to call my credit card company to intervene and get my money back. Fritz & Lost Canyon, you have lost a customer who used to seek you out.

This place is great for a glass of great wine after dinner and if you like live music… this place is the best! Always such a fun selection of musicians! Love all of their pinots! YUM! Not to mention you can always catch good sports games on their flat screen above the bar… the best of both worlds! The new owner is doing a great job of adding fun updates to the place and even mentioned that they might start serving light bites and small plates! If you’re downtown make sure to stop by here… it won’t disappoint!

Went to Station 1870 on a Saturday night around 7:30 with a friend for a «Mom’s night out»! We had originally planned to visit Cellars of Sonoma down the street but because of the atmosphere and the fact that it was packed with no seating we decided to mosey down to Station 1870 and I am so glad that we did. When we sat down we were immediately approached and offered the wine list and truffle popcorn(delicious). We were perusing the list and planning to use our Unilocal coupon(20% off your second glass of wine) when I mentioned to the woman who came up to our table that I was interested in the wine of the night. After conversing back and forth she stated that it would actually be a better deal for us to get the whole bottle if we were planning on more than one glass because overall the price of three glasses would equal the bottle. This was very helpful in planning our evening and I really appreciated her honesty, it would have been just as easy to charge us for four glasses separately! She stated during the conversation that the bottle was a favorite of some locals who come by after work sometimes so we went for it. We ended up with the Fritz Vintage 2012 Zinfandel and it was delicious and fruity. Definitely a nice bottle of wine to relax with. There were several other patrons inside who were having a great(loud) time and my friend and I moved out to the patio seating(which was fabulous for the last light of the evening) and the woman who had helped us(we later found out she was the manager, stellar service) came out to touch bases with us and apologize if it was too loud inside. She was so kind and helpful! After the party moved on we went inside to sit at the wine bar, our third seat of the evening, and it was just as warm and welcoming. The manager took the time to chat with us a bit about the establishment and where they are hoping to take it and where the wine comes from(the Fritz family owns the place). We finished up our bottle and paid our tab to head down the road to Cellars. I was super impressed with Station 1870, and will be back to try some of the finger foods and some of their other wines. I would love to do a flight of their different selections! I am so glad we happened in! I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a tasty, friendly glass of wine and a nice place to have a conversation and learn a little bit about a great local vineyard. Thanks again Station 1870!

After a disappointing experience at cellar of Sonoma. We were planning on going back to hotel. Walked past this place and it looks cozy and music was good. People were friendly and price is great.

Hit this place on a whim while coming out of a delicious dinner at Lococo’s. The wife and I got the impression that we could only buy flights of wine to taste but no worries — sounded like fun. After a less than detailed menu study we settled on a flight of white Italian varietals to share. Didn’t much care for the wine but the staff was friendly and there was live music playing. I’d return to test out the local wines they serve if the mood strikes and we are wandering. Pricing seemed appropriate and apparently tapas are available.

Cozy Tasting room in Railroad square. Typically open well after the Wineries close this is a great place to relax after a long day of wine tasting. Live music on the weekends, Tapas pairings, flat screen T. V that usually has a live game on, cozy lounge to relax with friends and of course some great award winning wines. Stop in for a taste!

Former storefront of Spectrum Wine. Station 1870 features the wines from the Fritz family. The Fritz family winery is north of Geyersville. So we’re talking about a local Sonoma county wine producer & purveyor. Let it be known that Station 1870 also serves a list of Italian wines as well. I’ve had the pleasure to drink all the white and red wines made by Fritz. Every varietal is packed with flavor, has a nice silky mouth feel, and is low in acid and tannins. This wine bar does have tapa style small plates of snack food for your chewing pleasure. Last night I ate the 6 crostini variety plate and the special 4 pieces of cheese & fig crostini plate. The tapas are small and for $ 10 per plate the tariff seems a little too high. Still Station 1870 is a nice wine bar, staffed with friendly & knowledgeable servers. Go! You’ll enjoy the place.

It’s a convenient location with great places to dine nearby. Unfortunately my biggest strike against the place is the prices! The wine was incredible and if you are looking for a treat to enjoy the night, it’s a great place. If you are just looking for a cocktail, I’m willing to be there are cheaper places to satisfy this need. It was $ 16 for one glass of wine– my mister has champagne taste I guess…
