Went to Jackson’s for lunch. They were busy(it’s Valentine’s Day) but we were seated straight away. We were with our 2 kids(10 and 13) and the staff immediately served the kids with a snack/starter plate of chips, carrots, celery, blackberries and a peanut butter dip(checking first that no one had a nut allergy). It was delicious and perfect to keep the kids happy while we ordered. Our meal was great — my husband and I shared a Caesar salad and the mushroom pizza. The best pizza I have eaten in years! The kids ordered grilled cheese and a burger. The kids meals were generous portions — the burger was large. Staff were polite and service was excellent. Would definitely recommend and would go back.

We were cheese tasting in Petaluma on a whim, and found ourselves meeting a friend who lives in Santa Rosa for dinner. She suggested this place. We met here around 6:30 on a Saturday night, there was a little wait for a table but not long. I have spied a lamb flatbread sandwich on the menu, and wanted that — we supplemented out table order with the truffle fries(good — but we got all short pieces, aka the bottom of the bag) and the pizza with pears and arugula, The service was very efficient -(almost too efficient — they took away our individual plates as we slowed down, I hate that) But on the positive side I had asked for a large glass of ice right when we sat down at the table — I got a refill of a large glass of ice halfway through my meal without requesting it, I can say that has never happened. We got the beignets for dessert with three dipping sauces: custard(our fav) raspberry and chocolate. YUM, HUGE portion. .and this I just file under«weird service»…when they brought our check, she said«We prefer if you can pay in cash, but we can take a credit card if you need to» …well can they or can’t they take a credit card? — Sounded to me like the waitress was trying scam on the restaurant — but whatever.

Until recently I had only been here for drinks — and its a fine bar — not the best but better than most restaurant bars… On my last visit I had the lobster roll and hot damn it was great! I always seem to stop here before going somewhere else to have dinner but after trying the lobster roll I may have to change my dinner plans.

I went in last night with a friend who had never been here. We ordered the wings, ribeye, and brick chicken. All were great like usual. However, my only remark is on the change I got back. Our bill was $ 89.13(I don’t remember the actually cents but definitely in the teens). Anyways I gave her $ 115.00 and the change I got back was a $ 20 bill and 5 $ 1 bills. I don’t know if she expected me to give her the full $ 20 but I definitely wasn’t going too for only being seen twice. I asked my friend if he could do the tip and he gave her $ 15. All in all she was very nice the two times we saw her and our food came out fast she just didn’t ask how our food was at all or if we needed anything else. I don’t want to seem like I’m bashing her or the establishment. Just a side note… If I want change back I really mean change.

The Undecided pizza was made for people like me. We stopped in for a drink and I was like, «Let’s get a pizza!» We weren’t hungry but I couldn’t sit there looking at that gorgeous oven and not have something cooked in it. I intended to order the Margherita but the ingredient list for The Undecided said simply, «Trust Us.» So I did. Got a lovely arugula, onion, sausage, and avocado pizza that was so good, we ate it all. We, the not hungry duo who just popped in for a drink.(And I don’t even like avocados!) My dude was amazed with the drink offerings. Particularly the part where they had a selection of Pappy’s to choose from as well as Thomas Handy. Gorgeous bar, great drinks, trustworthy pizza, and great people-watching.

I came here two different times. Both with my friend who was visiting from out of town. The atmosphere was great. They were pretty busy each time but that’s ok because we’ve heard great things and wanted to try it. On the first visit we couldn’t get a table so we snagged seats right at the bar. We were greeted right away. We ordered bloody Mary’s, crab rolls, and fries. I asked for the Bloody Mary to be spicy. When the server gave us our drinks she handed it to us and gave us a jar of Tabasco to put in ourselves. I thought that was weird. I didn’t like that. When I took a drink I couldn’t stand it. It tasted like I was drinking a jar of sugary pizza sauce. I sent it back and just got a beer. When we got our food the fries were good. I wasn’t impressed with the crab roll. It seemed very cheap to me. They served canned crab on top of a Hawaiian sweet roll. I didn’t leave a review then because I wanted to give this place another shot. I thought maybe they were having a bad day or something. The next time I came here it was with the different friend. We sat right up at the bar as you walked in and where again greeted right away. The staff was somewhat friendly. I didn’t bother ordering a cocktail because I had bad experience the previous time. My friend and I both ordered a glass of red wine. As we sat at the bar waiting for our drink we were observing everything around us. I couldn’t help but notice the bartenders were not well trained. One of the girls looked very uncomfortable because she felt the need to keep pulling down on her shorts which I thought was a bit inappropriate. I was also looking at some of the people next to us who would also ordered wine. One couple had white wine poured into champagne flutes, Another couple had red wine poured in the white wine glasses and the couple next to them had white wine and red wine glasses. My friend and I ordered the same exact red wine. When we received our drinks they were in different glasses. One red and one white. They didn’t seem very organized or that they knew what they were doing. I was also observing them making drinks for other customers and all of their pores were uneven. Maybe some of the stuff sounds silly but I won’t be going back for more reasons than what I mentioned above my second visit here at we decided not to order food and just go somewhere else I didn’t want to risk it again

We are huge fans of Jackson’s. It is one of the best choices in the Santa Rosa area for upscale, and late night bites. From our many, many, many meals here… this is a list of a few of our favorites. 1. Wood fired Mushroom pizza with truffle oil drizzle 2. Lamb flat bread dish is ALWAYS spot on!(and I’m really not a lamb fan!) 3. Ruben sandwich 4. Cesar salad 5. Turkey sandwich(The wife said its good… it must have been, because I didn’t even get a bite)

There are a lot of great places in Santa Rosa to go out with friends, have a cocktail and eat. Jacksons is definitely one of them. I have never been dissapointed here. Devin is an AWESOME bartender and she makes their cocktails like a pro. They have many options to choose from, they are all handmade and delivered with a smile. I’m a huge fan of their sandwiches and pizzas but this time I tried their Mahi tacos. They were good but there wasn’t anything special about it. Thankfully before that I shared the mac n cheese(amazing) and the roasted octopus which was also amazing. Keep in mind because of the high ceilings that it is pretty difficult to hear one another so do not expect a romantic quiet conversation. If you want to just eat drink and relax with friends… well then you need to hit up Jacksons.

Jackson’s is one of our favorite restaurants in Santa Rosa. We always start with the burrata topped with pistachios and honey. One of the best food combos I’ve ever eaten. I love the hamburgers here. It’s a «go to» hamburger spot. The burger has always been cooked as ordered plus there are yummy pickles on the side. The fries are also delicious and totally worth eating. The service is spot on– the servers anticipate what the table needs before the table has to ask. There is a great bar and the wine list has many Sonoma County labels. There are no reservations and so one has to be patient(or lucky). Go to Jackson’s. It’s a great experience.

Every meal that I have had at Jackson’s has been wonderful! I only wish I was not too full to eat dessert because they look delicious too! The cocktails are all carefully crafted and creative. The servers are professional and prompt. Our last visit — I had a burger and fries and my man had the Reuben and chips. I especially like that they season their burger and it makes a difference when seasoning is added prior to cooking. It was so flavorful! The Reuben was piled with tender, flavorful meat. I will happily return to Jackson’s anytime!

The manager of this bar refused to bring an extra chair for our party(note, there were plenty of extra chairs available). Flat out refused. He would rather a member of our party stand than sit at his restaurant. If you ever want to enjoy wine and food while sitting down, this is not your restaurant. The truffle fries are soggy, the tacos are over seasoned, and the wine is unremarkable.

«A» was working on a short film in Santa Rosa about a month ago and I tagged along to keep him company during any down time. Not sure that was really the best idea since it was 100 degrees in Santa Rosa that day and every shot was outdoors in the sun. At least I didn’t have to be in a suit all day like he did though. Anyway, after they wrapped for the day, we declined an invitation to eat with the crew at In and Out to have a meal by ourselves at Jackson’s. It was about 3pm on a Saturday so it was pretty quiet and empty. Service was just ok considering it was so empty. Drink — HELLORHIGHWATER Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur, Lemon & Lime Juice, Thai Chili & Smoked Pepper Honey Syrup, Watermelon. This was super tasty! We would’ve gotten more of these if we didn’t have to drive back to SF. Small Plates — TRUFFLEFRIES Pecorino Romano, Lemon Aioli. I LOVE truffle fries and these had a noticeable truffle flavor and they definitely don’t skimp on portion size. It literally comes in a boat! Ok, a dish shaped like a boat. LOBSTERROLLSLIDERS Hawaiian Roll, Lemon Aioli, Scallions. Lobster AND Hawaiian Rolls? Comes two per order. They basically toast the rolls and hollow out the middle. Then fill it chock full of juicy lobster! Wood Fired Pizza — SUMMERVEGETABLE Roasted Corn, Zucchini, Tomato, Ricotta Cheese, Cilantro Pesto. This was probably our favorite. The thin crust was crispy yet chewy. The summer vegetables were light and fresh. We will definitely eat here again if we find ourselves in Santa Rosa!

Great place to stop for snacks and a cocktail after wine tastings! Cause who doesn’t need a cocktail after a day of wine! Happy hour was going on when we were their which seemed pretty popular. They were out of oysters which was disappointing but truffle fries were on point!

I’ve only been here twice, and both times I left here fully satisfied. The first time I ordered the margarita chicken pizza. I was kind of rushed into ordering and panicked, so I ordered the first thing I saw. Being a guy, and a full meat lover; I was super sad about my haste decision. That quickly changed when I took my first bite of the pizza. The pizza itself was really flavorful; the cheese was gooey; and the crust was crunchy(I like it like that). After dinner, I took my time when making a dessert selection. I decided to see what all the hype was, and ordered the beignets. I made the right decision! It was a huge order; enough to feed two people, it came with with chocolate, vanilla, and Berry sauces. The dessert was pretty good. So more prepared, I decided to try going here again, this time I ordered the BBQ pesto walnut chicken pizza. It was to die for(at least in my opinion) I ordered the chocolate cake for dessert, and it was really moist, and not like it had been sitting all day. I really want to try their egg cream, however not sure when I’ll be in the mood for it. There’s plenty of street parking, and it’s next to that wine bar; which I must say is nice.

This is the best place in Santa Rosa for Happy hour and cocktails! I love their creative cocktails which changes with the menu. Almost all of the cocktails are creations made by the bartenders. The wine and beer selection is also great! The vibe in the restaurant and bar is very cool. Lots of locals go here to hang out at night. Great wings and mussels!

Unilocalers, you came through! My husband & I were on the hunt for a lunch spot with great food and a beer/cocktail menu to match. Jackson’s popped up in the historic downtown area of Santa Rosa, which was right where we wanted to be for after lunch sightseeing. On our way over, our Über driver confirmed that Jackson’s was her favorite restaurant downtown. Sold! We walked into a casual atmosphere yet still seemed upscale. Luckily, we didn’t need reservations & found a nice hi-top table by a window. The restaurant itself is centered around a large bar & brick pizza oven. Toward the back of the restaurant, there was a quiet dining atmosphere. Front of the house is definitely more lively. Our server came over right away with menus. Not long after we received water without asking which I appreciated. The service was quick, friendly, & easy. We decided to try lots of items from their impressive menu. Everything sounded fresh & delicious! We started with a couple of fresh oysters & Burrata. The Burrata came with a side of freshly made pizza bread & honey. Pure creamy heaven! The oysters were very fresh & nicely paired with the shallot mignonette. For our mains we went with the wood fired house made sausage pizza & Mac & Cheese made with Gruyère. The Mac & Cheese was perfection. The pasta wasn’t overcooked & the cheese wasn’t overbearing. Their pizza was flavorful & perfectly cooked on the crust. For our last item, we went for the Moroccan lamb spiced meatballs. Wow — the spices used in the meatballs were beyond flavorful! Their cocktails, beer, & wine menu is just as good as the food. If you’re in the Santa Rosa area — GO.
