The food is always good and, I have never had a problem with the service unless maybe they’re really busy on a Sunday during brunch time. The only reason I’m not giving them a 5 star is that I always get a jolt when I get the bill. I guess that’s to be expected these days. One of the things I truly appreciate about The Plaza Café is that they are vegan friendly.

Have you ever tried a TurDuckEn? I haven’t. I guess that means I’ve got some room to grow, culinarily(or does it?) Fortunately, I’ve satisfied the part of my appetite that craves culinary exploration with something even better: the chile relleno omelette served at the Plaza Café. Here’s how it goes down: A green chile is stuffed with cheese, dipped in batter and given a whirl in the deep fryer THEN they fold it inside a expertly executed omelette THEN they smother that with more cheese and green chile and serve it with papitas and a tortilla. Mind: blown. Stomach: full. Feeling slightly less gluttonous? The blue corn piñón pancakes are also a total win. Super fluffy with the unparalleled texture combination of corn meal + nuts, they’re pure decadence when drenched in the house-made orange syrup. The service is super quick, the dining room spotless, and your kids can color a picture of Zozobra meeting his yearly demise while you dine — really, what else do you need?

Omg! Awesome. I have been here 4 times… and ever time I find even more great food. Everything is made from scratch daily. The employees enjoy their job… which means it’s a great place to work… which means… great customer service with amazing home made food. Not to mention… Happy hour!!!

Went here for the first time and was very impressed. Had the queso and breakfast tacos… both were really good. Their tortilla chips are excellent! Our server was superb… super friendly, accommodating and attentive! I’m happy to make the plaza café a part of my regular restaurant rotation!!!

We gave up eating from the expensive menu items. Instead, came in for dessert. The coconut cream pie in a macaroon shell(though pricey at $ 7) was delicious. Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain

A high class diner. I don’t mean that negative, it has a diner feel but better. The enchiladas were excellent of the cold day we stopped in. Good selection of local(NM) brews. While I didn’t have desert then counter looked pretty tasty.

What an AWESOME place! My family and I were going to the movies and saw this restaurant from across the parking lot. The atmosphere is fun, quirky, friendly, and unique! It’s a vibe of a 50s diner mixed with a Mexican restaurant — what a fabulous combo! The wait staff were wonderful and timely! The food was amazing!!! I had the make your own burger and it was ridiculously delicious. Someone else had the avocado tacos and that was excellent!!! I’m lucky she shared some with me! This is definitely one of my favorite spots in Santa Fe. I will definitely come back here the next time I am in town.

I ordered the fish tacos. I’m a 5’2 small petite girl and rarely can I ever finish all my food. I ate all the fish tacos and was still hungry at the end. The tacos were vey good but I think the portion was too small and the meal is overpriced at $ 14. I wouldn’t order the fish tacos again for those reasons. Ordered 3 desserts: red velvet flan, caramel apple pie, and coconut cream pie. The syrup for the red velvet flan was burnt which ruined the entire dessert. It just tastes like bitter burnt sugar. Disappointing. The coconut cream pie is gluten free and BLANDASHELL. It was not good at all. The crust made of straight coconut shreds didn’t make it any better. Double disappointment at this point. The apple pie was ok. Tolerable compared to the other two. It was not the best apple pie I’ve had in my life, it was just ok. I will most likely not return to this place nor would I recommend it to anyone. I visited this place on October 19 around 6pm

Unilocal has not steered me wrong on this trip! What a wonderful breakfast we had. My husband declared the blue corn enchiladas«very tasty.» The crunchy French toast is the best I have ever had! Our companions loved the blue corn cakes. The bacon is delish! The meals are a little pricy but the service was good. Love to come back and try some of their lunch items!

I’ve gone to this place many times. It is my regular go-to spot when craving a hamburger or some good comfort food. I’ve done take-out here and ordered in — and both experiences were very good. Sometimes, some restaurants, including fast food, will give you less portions if you order it to-go or through take-out, this is NOT one of them. They do not skimp on quantity regardless of whether you dine in or take-out. The food is hot, delicious, fresh, and tasty. And when I want something that I can guarantee it will be good in Santa Fe, this is what I choose.

I love breakfast foods. Double for Mexican breakfast foods. And I have two slightly picky boys who can’t always find something suitable on a kids’ menu.(Food allergies also factor in quite a bit.) We took a table on the patio, and they told us that our dog was welcome to join us(bonus points). My breakfast was so.freaking.delicious. The breakfast tacos were some of the better ones I’ve ever had. And I have sampled hundreds, nay, thousands of breakfast tacos. My kids both found choices they loved easily, and they were happy with what they got. One had Froot Loops or some other such kid-cereal, and the other had a delightful fruit/yogurt cup that was so yummy that I may have stolen a couple of bites when he wasn’t looking. ;) Seal of approval? Granted.

I came in for the first time from SD, CA. The diner was very clean and the staff was very curteous. We ordered the Southside Nachos as an appetizer and the flavors meshed perfectly! Not to mention the presentation of the food was very impressive. I also had the Carne asada tacos and they were amazing as well. I’ll definitely come back to this place next time I’m in Santa Fe!

I was extremely disappointed with this place. I’ve made 3 stops in New Mexico on my «road trip from hell» and I had absolutely amazing Mexican in Las Cruces. I got the chicken soft tacos and waited with excitement for my dish to arrive. What came was 2 smallish/medium sized tacos, a bowl of beans and some tasteless rice. In my experience, most places give you 3 tacos, enchiladas, etc. We were starving so that bothered me. The taco itself was good, the chicken wasn’t and there was barely any cheese on it. The beans were delicious. That’s the only reason they got 2 stars. And my biggest pet peeve, especially when spicy food is involved. Not getting our drinks refilled. When you are serving people hot, spicy food, not refilling drinks is totally unacceptable. Thankfully, Unilocal had a 25% off coupon so at least I didn’t have to pay full price. The manager came over to redeem it, didn’t even say a word, ask how our meal was, just tapped my phone and walked away. If I come back to Santa Fe, I won’t be coming here again.

This place is awesome!!! We came here for brunch and got seated right away. The deco is cozy, warm and classy with sort of diner feel. We ordered breakfast burrito, meatloaf and breakfast tacos. I like my breakfast tacos and they came green chili, hot chili sauces as well as salsa. The combination of sauces, ripe avocado and ham tasted delicious. The hot roasted green and red chili(Christmas) as well shredded cheese made the breakfast burrito unique from NM compared to other places! The meatloaf is savory with sweet kick because of the roasted corn and green chili. I always want to try their dessert but there is no room in the end of the meal! The service was prompt and friendly! Everything is automatically comes with green chili in NM unless you specifically don’t want it. It is also the reason why the food here is so additive! The is the place which we keep on coming back!

Everything the best Unilocal Reviews have said. And more. Our breakfast was the first time we went and there is no question we’ll be back. We had Huevos Divorciados, Breakfast Tacos w/Christmas Chile and a Blue Corn Pancake w/Cinnamon Syrup which we split. Que Bueno in all respects! Coffee was the best as well. Service could not have been better. Prompt, friendly, the best recommendations. A bit pricey but worth every penny for sure. this is a place not to be missed and a place to go out of your way for.
