Just your average liquor store… but unlike most places, they carry Redd’s Apple Ale. Not only do they carry it… they have it in 6&12 pack bottles and a 4 pack cans. The worker is very nice… but why do they charge a grip to pay with your debit or credit card. Jeez.

The person who reviewed this place before me is clearly a liquor-store rookie. I mean, who the fuck goes to a liquor store for sodas and then gets mad when it’s not their strong point? Next time take your ass to Safeway and let grownups review the store whose primary purpose is to provide a selection of beer, liquor and wine. This is actually a pretty good liquor store. They have a fairly wide variety of beer, liquor, and, to a lesser degree, wine. They have 5 to 6 cooler cases of soda(Is This What You Want???), though I haven’t evaluated their selection for variety yet. They don’t carry Hyphy Juice, so minus one full star(my review, my rules, bitches!), but they do have the absolute best price on Red Bull I have ever seen — $ 1.99 for the 8 oz can. That’s only a $ 0.30 difference, but it’s notable because Red Bull is a product whose price is pretty much standardized — it costs $ 2.29 at almost every liquor store. Tall can prices are extremely reasonable, especially compared to neighboring stores, and they usually have some sort of deal on 12 packs of cheap-but-drinkable beer. With one exception in the last 2 years, I don’t smoke anymore and I was never really into adult magazines(have you heard of this thing called the intarweb?), but they have a wide selection of tobacco products and a decent selection of tittay magazines. I recognized some reputable brand names in both categories. I haven’t investigated the music, car and breezy magazine offerings yet, but I have high hopes, given the generally high quality of everything else on offer. Debit fee is extremely reasonable at $ 0.29. The credit card fee of $ 0.59 only applies to purchases under $ 5.00. Staff is friendly. This is true despite the fact that the very first time I visited, the proprietor was having a chat with a man in traditional Islamic garb, and I stumbled to the counter drunk and high looking to buy a wine-flavored black & mild, holding a couple 4Lokos and loudly discussing with my friends the merits of rolling a combination weed and black & mild cigar which I call«Beef & Broccoli»(And what are the merits? Namely that you can smoke it in public and nobody can smell the weed).* I’m pretty sure this man’s funny religion requires that he perform some elaborate ritual to cleanse himself and save his soul after every interaction with me,** yet he is always respectful and friendly. Overall, this is probably the best liquor store in this area. It carries everything a liquor store should carry, and essential items can be purchased without feeling like the owner has violated your wallet and butthole(as opposed to the Sev-Elev down the street, where anal rape is pretty much inescapable, but more on that in another review). ___________________ * That was my one exception. I decided to smoke some tobacco in order to show some friends from school my awesome Beef & Broccoli invention because, contrary to popular belief, kids in law school are all about breaking the law. Except for the future DAs, who are pussies. ** That was a joke, and if you laughed you are an Islamophobe and a bad person.

A disappointingly standard liquor store. If A&W Cream soda is as interesting as it gets for sodas, I’d skip it. otherwise, your standard booze and snacks apply.
