This is a nice Starbucks coffee store in the middle of down town Santa Barbara… I’m really impressed with It’s décor, space and location. I will be coming here again when I visit Santa Barbara

Nicest Starbucks in SB. Lots of space, beautiful décor and sight seeing. Beautiful people wall-to-wall

Staff is friendly, but the lines are long! What do I expect I guess… its right on the busy State Street. Good for your sbux fix, but not good if you’re limited on time.

I’ve never seen a balcony within a Starbucks before! Mind blown! I wish they had that in my neck of the woods. I would enjoy it so much more. all the starbucks look the same, but this one is set apart from the rest. The young man who took my order was really friendly and seemed to have a nice personality. I used to work for Starbucks and I can honestly say that excellent customer service skills are acquired while working for this particular company, and this young kid seemed to know whats up. As a patron of Starbucks’ everywhere, its nice to know that they do their best to put a smile on your face.

At one point in time, I truly believed the staff was once courteous and professional at this specific location but it is no longer true. Yesterday 2÷13÷16 around 10:30 am, a young brunette woman, a Starbucks employee was off duty gossiping with her co-workers(they were on shift) about the customers within the shop. It was astonishing and incredibly disappointing to know that as a customer I can not enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or the overall service of this establishment without Starbucks employees laughing & gossiping at the expense of customers that pay for proper customer service at this location. I will not be returning to this location again.

I’ve been a loyal customer to Starbucks for years and never been so dissapointed. For the last 2 days I’ve had bad experiences with 2 employees. The guys are always extremely friendly but most of the girls are rude, helpless, and don’t have customer service skills. I ask for a bag and I’m expected to bag my own purchase. My drinks are made and just set on the counter by the barrista without her calling them out when there’s not that many customers. The only reason why I gave 2 stars and not 1 is because there are some employees who know what they are doing. Overall unnecessary experiences.

It’s another one with a fitting exterior. It is the place we all know and appreciate for it’s uniformity and selections. It’s not perfect, but it wants to be.

Employees are not the nicest. I sometimes get coffee in the morning. One particular female barista has a personality like wet mop. I won’t use the b***h word, but you get it.. Can’t even picture waking up to that drab unfriendly person in the morning.

My PSL was on fleek, such an experience is akin to an injection of holiday life into my body. My PSL was on fleek. Stood in front of the register for a good 45 – 60 seconds before a word was said to me. Keep in mind there were two employees directly across from me, one was like clocking or out or something. The other was helping him I guess. It’s cool, I don’t mind I understand people have lives outside of the grind. A friendly face or a hello wouldn’t hurt. Basic customer service skills. Again, my PSL was on fleek so in the end I was a happy camper.

Horrible customer service. There’s a girl who works there, she must be a manager, she is so rude. She always has her hair tied back tight and has painted on thick eyebrows. Please fire her. My friend kindly asked for her to correct her drink since they put sweetener in it on accident & she made it seem like it was her fault. Took it back and just handed it to her without saying a word. No smile from her. No personal interaction. And this is my weeklong observation of going there twice a day for 7 days straight.

3.5 stars. It’s a no frills Starbucks. Nothing great, nothing bad. Busy little location, 2 registers chugalugging, long line, and the highlight, a loft with seating. When in the area, and you must get a fix, this works.

Convenient location but staff are rude and the place is very dirty. Needs new management and a staff overhaul. It’s a bad representation of the business.

This starbucks is full of racist ignorant bigots !! They are lazy, useless, extremely disrespectful, and I have never and will never invest in this location !!! They rush you out the restrooms, and knock constantly while you are using the r&R. They talk crap outside the door while you are using the restrooms. Poor customer service.

Came here on a rainy day. The staff was overworked, yet managed to prepare my Mocha Latte very quickly while still maintaining conversations with customers. With all of the computer space I plan on staying longer next time. The rain was so deep my service dog had to stay at home limiting my time out. The walls are decorated with nice artwork. It actually enriches the experience here, unlike some places, where it distracts from the ability to drink and eat in visual peace.

Amazing in a bad way how defensive the current supervisor was when she was unable to explain where all of my Starbucks rewards had gone to. The attitude was the limit and think I’ll skip this store from now on. To add insult to injury they served me a caffeinated coffee at 830pm instead of my CLEARLY ordered decaf and then said that they did not brew decaf after a certain hour. I pointed to their fancy Clover machine which makes all types all day and night and the clerk replied, «Oh yea.» It is like a circus here!

They have a secret spot upstairs to read away from the hustle and bustle of State Street. I know it’s not baked here but the pumpkin bread tastes like it just came out of the oven. The people here are wonderful. They just seem to go out of their way to make sure you are happy. Can it be they slip something in the coffee?

This is a great Starbucks location just for the loft upstairs. Great people watching opportunities, and in a charming older building. Minus 1 star because my latte tasted a little burnt.

This Starbucks has been great to me over the years. I came here the other day ordered some drinks and sat up in their loft seating area, very cool place to sit. If you have to go pee, don’t hold it, the bathrooms are key code entry… so a barista needs to shout the code to you, this could lead to problems. This is probably because of the insane amount of peddlers and homeless that crowd the streets of Santa Barbara. The service here was great. The parking in downtown can be tough if you think you are going to park right out in front of wherever you are going. Great spot!
