I really like this place. The staff is always friendly and there’s a good vibe here to have coffee with a friend or sit and study. One issue I take is with some of the regulars though. I appreciate a place for locals, but must they talk to eachother so loudly and with such fowl language?! Also, one man in particular spouts off endless political opinions with such vulgarity and no regard for others around him it can be disturbing. If he’s not doing that he’s on the phone inside the coffee shop talking so all can hear him for extended periods of time. I would hope that maybe staff members would kindly ask him to lower his voice or step outside at times.

Definitely a good cup! Cool vibe on the inside and nice workers. Prices are similar to Starbucks.

Had a couple of soy lattes. Not the most aesthetically appealing latte(see pic) but did the job. They were out of most food options by 11am, which I imagine could be a good sign. I had the everything bagel that was left in the display. Nothing special. I’d hope for more quality from a small place. Seems more like a place for folks to bring their pc for some free Internet gaming than it is for quality coffee and snacks.

Good coffee, relatively busy when I’ve been there, big parking lot. Average spot overall.

Huge fan of their dirty chai latte. They have a lot of seating outside and there always seems to be sunny spots! Cute gift shop too…

My favorite coffee shop. Good coffee, good food, cute merchandise, and friendly staff. It’s very cozy and I love coming here to study and read.

The coffee was good and the inside was cute, but the barista told me some things about coffee and specialized drinks that I know are not true. The barista was also somewhat condescending.

I love this place but the drinks are OK. They have a great selection of loose leaf teas which is awesome! The lattes are sometimes fantastic, but other times they have no foam and are lukewarm, really depends whether they are in a rush. I don’t know much about coffee but it doesn’t seem right. The atmosphere is great.

Should have gone elsewhere. I am not sure why there are so many great reviews. The place is cute and they have ac which is great because we are visiting during a heat wave! I walked in and ordered a blended chi tea. With absolutely no expression she said«we are out». Since i had never been there before I had to look at the menu, she just stood there staring off. I ordered a blended vanilla latte(I received an iced vanilla latte) and she went to make my drink. When I was rung up by another girl I ordered a breakfast sandwich. My drink was pretty quick but the sandwich took forever as I stood waiting and waiting for my sandwich I noticed people were being served their food items on plates! I was finally given my food in a to go container, no one asked if it was for here or to go the sandwich was just okay. I threw most of it away. Soon disappointing!!! Unilocal don’t fail me again!

Nice place, enjoyed the coffee and pretty good service! Ordered a small soy cappuccino, oat bar, and a cup of gelato totaled to about $ 11 which I don’t think is bad at all. Will come back soon!

Great spot to take a lunch break. I love to sit on the cozy couch. The ladies always make a fresh iced coffee.

Average. Just average. Also I never had a cold brew before that was chalky and subsequently told that was normal. I like my cold brews smooth like at other spots in town«handlebar /French press». Meh. But the seating is nice and free parking– so choose what matters more for you.

Ordered a double espresso. Not outstanding, but better than other coffee spots we tried while in town.

I met a friend here for a gab session. She said the americano was good, I had brought a smoothie with me. There was plenty of seating and plenty of people on their laptops. There were baked goods and a food menu as well. Cozy place, enjoy.

In Santa Barbara for the week and this is my favorite coffee spot we have tried. Extremely knowledgable and friendly staff, especially the gentleman with the mustache! Great coffee, bagels, and atmosphere.

I’ve been coming to Good Cup regularly for about 6 months and love it. Not only are the drinks delicious but the baristas are all super friendly. On top of that they have so many milk choices! I almost started dancing when i discovered that I could get coconut milk in my drink instead of the usual soy. Chai tea lattes here are amazing. Try the gelato for an afternoon treat. They also have an awesome selection of funny, cute socks and other random gift shop items that you don’t normally find in a coffee shop.

Anytime I visit a new place, near the top of my list is to locate a highly rated, walkable coffee joint for my am cup o joe needs. Fortunately the good cup was less than three blocks away. I dragged two of my other friends with me to walk over to The Good Cup and check this spot out. By the way, as if interesting coffee offerings weren’t reason enough, they also serve gelato which the locals seem to rave about. The baristas are all super cute and friendly, chatting us up a bit about our travels. I ordered a double swiss mocha with almond milk. Basically it was said to be their version of a white mocha. It wasn’t as sweet as your typical white mocha but it had a great taste and just enough oomf from the 2x espresso. I really enjoyed mine and I believe the girls liked their drinks too. Sad to say I didn’t get to have any gelato…

This is about«As good as it gets» for a coffee shop. The coffee is great, they have gelato and other bites, and the location is good. It’s spacious inside with wood beam ceilings, has a patio, and everyone seemed pretty chill in there. Everyone, except the two employees who worked there. The person who helped me was very nice but the guy who should have helped me at first(older guy, probably a manager) just gave me some«go away» look maybe because I walked in with a motorcycle helmet? I don’t know/care why but when the girl working in the kitchen walked out and by me — same thing. Really? That’s a big part of the culture of a coffee shop — the people and vibe — and I can’t overlook the 2 jerks to 1 cool staff ratio. I have a few coffee shops I like in S.B. and this will make it to my list, but when I return it will be only because of the convenient location and despite the negativity I expect from staff. For that, it becomes«A-OK».
