Rusty’s Pizza Parlor

Your customer service and product is going down the tubes. Your call center operators are rude and disrespectful. Your product is a hit and miss. Your prices are too high. Tonight I ordered a pizza and 45 mins later I call back, they canceled my order because your operator said «I hung up on her before saying Id pay cash.» She lied. The order was just as it always has been. Cash or credit, cash, ok we’ll be out in 30 – 45 min. What did I miss here? Then when I called back to ask what happened the man I talked to was rude and hung up on me.
We don’t need 20 Rustys Pizza Parlors in SB, we need good product and good customer service. Don’t let yourselves get so big that you think the customers no longer matter. You wouldn’t be where you are if it weren’t for us loyal customers.
Very very frustrating.

This evening my Ultimate Frisbee teammates and I dined in at this restaurant and we’re all very satisfied. We ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza with regular crust. They ended up giving us the pizza on thin crust but it turned out to be even better because we were able to eat the entire pizza. This restaurant has a great family oriented and social atmosphere. I suggest rustys pizza parlor as a first choice when considering local restaurants.

Great place. Had the thin crust with pepperoni in the small with the lunch special. Included a trip to salad bar and a small drink for just over $ 7. Early lunch but service was good, and the dining area and restroom was clean. Definitely recommend for a quick pizza lunch.

Rude service and after dealing with an argumentative employee they got our order wrong. Also not sure why this place is considered $. It’s more like $$ to $$$. $ 16 for a 10in pizza? I can a $ 16 pizza at a high end restaurant in LA.

My absolute favorite pizza place! I have been going to Rusty’s Pizza since I was a little girl and I always love their Hawaiian style pineapple and olive pizza. Mmmm… gotta love Rusty’s.

My husband and I were in town for a quick anniversary getaway. We arrived at our hotel when most restaurants were closing. We settled on pizza and I’m glad we did. Rusty’s was quick (we ordered in store and took it to-​go) and it was delicious. We got the Rusty’s Special with pan crust.

Okay let’s get started…
To begin with we ordered a small pizza at 11:51… The pizza didn’t arrive until 1:10!!! MORE THAN A FREAKING HOUR! My sister called to check on it because it had been 45 minutes but according to the lady it’s was «42» big difference! Okay so then I called because it was literally three minutes before an hour ! And the guy that answered didn’t even apologize but rather started making up excuses about why the pizza was still on its way! So I told them «are you guys brining it from out of town?» And he hang up on me! Like just hang up! Uhm excuse me?! I’m a customer! And they’re WORKING to do a GOOD COSTUMER SERVICE! Not hang up on the costumer that PAID FOR A PIZZA THAT ARRIVED FOR MOOOORE THAN AN HOUR LLAATTEEEEE!!! and the delivery guy called me and said that he was running «a little» late… «A little?» No. And on TOP of that! He tells me «do you want to go outside so I can give you your pizza, cause that’s the only way I can get everyone’s pizza tonight» okay… «Do you want to»… «Cause that’s the only way»… Really ??? Doesn’t even say if I MAY PLEASE GO OUTSIDE! They’re supposed to go to my door and KNOCK to hand me the pizza not have me go to the street to get my pizza! I waited on the street for about TWENTY MINUTES!!! Like seriously ! I could’ve gone to the damn store walking and ordered the pizza to go and walked back to my house BEFORE that damn driver rolled up with that tiny ass half cold pizza!!! Last time IIII order pizza from your guys. Lost a good customer who paid for a pizza that was more than an hour late. Deuces. You guys don’t deserve any stars! But I unfortunately HAVE TO FORCEFULLY GIVE YOU AT LEAST ONE.
Oh p. s. If anyone or actually literally everyone that asks me about a GOOD pizza place the first thing I’m going to say is «do not get Rustys they suck! Pizza is late and not even that good! (I mean that, it’s hella greasy, like shiet! Is there a piggy shitting grease on my pizza !?) well this is the last time you get to see me eating Rustys.

I wish I could write unlimited revues that way I could just write bad people, bad pizza, bad service over and over and over again. I think I’ll make a new account just to FORCEFULLY give you another star and of course the right thing, a bad review.

The thin crust pizza is one of my favorites! Even though it’s pricey pizza, very tasty and flavorful. Every time I visit SB I make a stop here. The place is family friendly and offers a small salad bar.

Got a pizza and salad delivered to our hotel, recommended to us by an employee of the hotel. No frills pizza, but really tasty and arrived ahead of the scheduled delivery time. Salad was fresh and crisp with a lot of vegetables (not always the case at pizzerias). Really enjoyed our meal.

This pizza was amazing! Starving after a concert at the SB bowl, my girlfriend and I decided to give this place a chance and we were not disappointed. I recommend the thin crust pizza. We shared a small pepperoni pizza and ate each slice as if they were chips. It became addicting!

I ordered the rusty favorite with salted fish. It is delicious and very tasty. Salad bar is so so but the vegetables were fresh.

Visiting Santa Barbara on vacation. It’s Super Bowl Sunday and my husband and I decided to stay in order pizza and watch the game. Called Rusty’s cause the lobby recommended it. Horrible customer service!!! I spelled my last name to the girl who answered the phone and when she pronounced my name incorrectly I then Spelled my name again to her, she Rudely told me to not yell she can hear me, then put me in hold!!! Horrible customer service! Rude, rude, rude!!! Not recommended!

life long customer will not return till the heavy set latino with grey hair is fired. Large group of transients blocking entrance says nothing. Me getting ranch for my pizza. Comes and tells me it cost money. I usually come daily not anymore. Same for all my family and friends will tell them to boycott you. I know you guys don’t care but hopefully you will piss off enough people like me to start caring and losing customers. And losing money where it hurts you guys.

The pizzas are super tasty and the subs are great so the food never disappoints I also like the fact that you can serve yourself at the salad bar and the drink fountain plus the employees are really nice and professional as a regular it’s nice that they always remember me

Heard about rustys and told how awesome it was. My wife and I visited for her 27^th bday and it was horrible. #1 we ordered before the rush. Got our food dead last (they messed order up and had to remake but did not say anything to us… incompetence) #2 our pizza did not have half the toppings it was supposed to. #3 when I informed them of THEIR mistake they offered to remake. I declined since we had already wasted an hour. I said just refund it please. A older very ride and obviously very unhappy mexican woman named Elgae informed me she needed pizza back to refund. Like I am the reason we wasted an hour couldn’t make a pizza correctly and then blamed customer. Elgae is obviously a Rocket scientist and is unable to provide customer service because of her severely lacking social ineptitude. Fire Elgae rustys she is a stain on what «I’ve heard is a great restaurant»

Bottom Line: These guys make great pizza and they have been since I was a kid. Yes the interior of this place is kind of rough around the edges, but hey you came here for pizza and greasy Mrs. Pacman game that mostly works right?!
I have a message for all of the people who complain about the less than perfect English skills for the people that work here; would you go to Santa Ana and complain about people primarily speaking Vietnamese? How about complaining about people speaking French in Montréal? Probably not and on the East Side of Santa Barbara 85% of the people predominately speak Spanish. So learn a little Spanish and quit yer whining — believe it or not it’s our culture in SoCal. Look at a street sign and it’s probably in Spanish
OK! Onto the Pizza. I have been going to this location for 30 years or more, honestly I cant remember. The people that work here are always busting their ass, making tons of pizza and they always do it very well.
And their Pizza is good and they make lots of different kinds, thin, thick, lots of different flavors etc… get down here. Get a pizza. Play Mrs. Pacman. Life is good

Very decent on prices, but anyways. I extremely recommend it! Another good thing is that they have delivery, until 12pm …
I don’t know about other Rusty’s restaurants but the one on Milpas street is clean, and the employees are very friendly and helpful.

This is a neat little place. The dining area seemed really clean and prices were reasonable. I came in around 9pm on a Tuesday night and received great service from the staff on duty.
I had a pepperoni pizza and it was pretty good. Very Round Table-​esque, but it had a uniqueness of its own in the spices and flavor. Service was quick, staff was friendly, not much more that I could ask for.
I will certainly be back!

Ew. I ordered pizza here a few weekends ago while visiting a friend. The woman on the phone asked for my order. As I started to speak, she started rudely laughing. Nothing I said was funny, but this woman obviously thought something was. EW. I waited a good 20 seconds while she whispered to a coworker and laughed, even prompting me to wonder if I even had the right number? I couldn’t believe how rudely I was treated. Maybe teach the dips who answer your phones to treat customers with a little more respect, or perhaps don’t hire idiots?
Delivery was fast and the delivery-​man was courteous. However, thanks to the phone encounter I had with Rusty’s, I will probably go for quality over affordability next time I’m visiting.
