I’ve been to this location a few times. Each time more disappointed with skimpy amounts of beef, huge portions of bread left over. This last experience the meet was truly as it they are taking a cheaper cut on top of their skimping on the beef.

Have had this place a few time and was good. Decided to order online this time and placed order at 8:30pm. Said it would be ready by 8:45pm. Got a call from them saying they canceled the order and they were closed. This was at 8:50 and they close at 9pm! I had to use my gas to drive to pick up my meal with my stomach growling. The guy opens the door and says were closed without apologizing. Will never come back here again. Go to another place if you want decent Philly cheesesteaks.

Beef cheese steak was the worst I’ve ever had. The chicken was so so. We ordered delivery which took 1 hour +. It may have been 2.5 — 3 stars if fresh. Small portions and $ 33.00 for 2 sandwiches and some pretty nasty tasting soggy cold fries. I’d pass.

Great philly cheese steak. A little pricey, disappointed it didn’t come with chips and drink for a 7″ $ 6.59. We ordered two 15″ for a family of 5, and two orders of steak fries and water … Cost us about $ 45 Otherwise good, fresh food.

Dankest cheesiest cheese steaks in town. Quality is always there, but the consistency of the quantity of meat is lacking. The king is the only way to go.

I’ve been coming here for years. Even if you don’t like onions try them and the peppers. The bread isn’t my favorite but this place goes hard. 4 stars because the guy messed up my order one time and it’s a little pricy.

I always pass by this shop on my way to grab that much needed cup of morning joe. I finally decided to give it a try this past Thursday. I ordered their traditional 10″ cheesesteak with mushrooms and no hot peppers. It took a few minutes for them to cook it on the grill and then I was out the door. The combination of flavors in my cheese steak sandwich were very good until I got closer towards the end half. I’m not a fan of pepper in general which is why I ordered it sans hot peppers, but I still got a tinge of it in my order :(It could have been on the gloves of the preparer or possibly the cutting board where my sandwich was sliced. Either way I wasn’t a fan of it and that was the only thing that spoiled my experience. There were no actual peppers in my sandwich, just the taste of the brine soaked into part of the bread. I really wish that hadn’t happened. Hot sandwiches are definitely one of my favorites and I wish I had the time to dine-in because wrapping up a hot sandwich in foil-paper creates steam which leads to soggy bread. It wasn’t that bad by the time I ate it but I’m sure I would’ve enjoyed it more when it was fresh off the grill. I want to give this shop another shot but I’m worried I may have a repeat of the pepper incident, and I’m not going to pay to have that happen again.

I really like this place but today’s meal is a trend for them. They can’t cook their steak fries. I specifically ordered the fries well done because they often have raw spots in them. If their fryers can’t cook the product throughly then don’t sell it. So today the fries came half raw. Due to how busy they were and my lack of confidence in their ability to get them right I asked for a refund. The fries were 2.29 plus tax kid at the counter gives me 2.16. I then show the kid a receipt and get another dime. Very disappointed. Shouldn’t the kid behind the counter have basic math skills? Just saying.

Relatively speaking in terms of fast food this gets a 4 stars for me. Yes, it’s not super fancy nor it is super stellar. But for what they do, they do it well! If you grave Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches, it’s hard to say that these guys do it well. I’ve never had a real Philly Cheese steak(nor will I ever as I HATE Philly — but that’s another story). This is probably as close as I’ll ever get to it. I ordered their King Philly sandwich and it was nice and greasy! Exactly what you’d expect from a great sandwich. The steak were well minced and was pretty much melt in your mouth good. The little cheese that they had in it was oozing and deliciously melty. If my body could take more sandwiches, I’d go there once a week. But it’s a lot of goody that’s really enjoyable once in a while. If you need a hot sandwich, go there.

Their sandwiches are so good! We love eating here. Parking can be tricky sometimes but it’s worth it! The seasoning is delicious and the fries are crispy!

A friend and I ordered delivery from here and didn’t order too much. We had two cheesesteaks, boneless buffalo wings, and steak fries. We waited patiently for 1 hour for our food, let me remind you that they aren’t THAT far away from where we were. My friend calls in and asks what’s going on with the order and she tells him«we don’t deliver.» On Unilocal it clearly says they do… So she hands the phone to the manager and they get things sorted out. Another 20 min rolls by and the food finally comes, wow I waited an hour and 20 minutes for really bad food. My cheesesteak was 95% bread, 4% meat, and 1% cheese. It was so disappointing but there was more disappointment in the bag. The steak fries were soggy so they weren’t remotely enjoyable to eat. BUTWAIT, the buffalo wings, they didn’t even have sauce on them. I don’t know how you mess up that badly but man that was bad. The chicken tasted like popcorn chicken you’d get in middle school, like rubbery cardboard. Never getting food here again.

Phone in orders are fast and on point. Regular size sandwiches have decent amount of meat, but king of Philly is the way to go!!! Call it in about 15 minutes before you go and you will be on point. Onions and peppers are the best.

I work locally and like to get my food and head back to the office. Today, I had placed an online order, like I have done MANY times in the past. I went to the store to pick up my food and there was a decent line. I walked over to the«phone orders» sign, like I have done with the MANY other orders I have placed online. The individual behind the register was helping someone and as soon as they were done looked at me and nodded and mumbled something that I couldn’t comprehend. I said«I have an online order» and he said to «get in line». I looked over at what looked to be my food sitting on the shelf, and he pointed towards the line. Pretty much, you just told me to leave your store. So I did. What is the point of having online or phone ordering and even a SIGN to pick them up, yet you don’t honor that system? No longer eating at this location. *UPDATE* 2 hours AFTER my order was due to be picked up, I received a phone call from Gary letting me know my food is ready for pick up and asking if I will be coming to get it. REALLY??? Thanks Gary! I will never be coming back to your establishment. Even if what happened prior, never happened, do you think ANYONE would pick up the food 2 hours after it was ready? You might want to follow up with your customers a little quicker.

Not very clean, after reading the reviews I realized that I needed to order the King of Philly. It wasn’t bad. I would of gave 4 stars, –1 for cleanliness.

Having lived in Philadelphia for a while these don’t compare to the original kings back east. That being said the sandwich itself is just ok and the fries are to oily. They give you a good portion, but was disappointed that for only 50 cents more I could have gotten a bigger size but wasn’t told by the staff. The steak is tender and the bread is good but next time I’ll skip the overly oily fries. She also didn’t offer me the frequent customer card that I saw a bunch of other people with. They weren’t very busy when I went in the afternoon, maybe like to other tables had people, so staff could have been a little more attentive.

My review is on their food only, because it was a to go order: ** King of Philly, steak with sweet pepper($ 9.99): Beef was dry(over cooked), very cheesy which was good; the menu stated 10″ sandwich, the actual size was 6 ½″ :( Unlike the beef in the sandwich, the steak fries were under cooked. Not crispy at all, no salt nor any seasoning were added, very bland and yucky. Lastly, the hot wings were tiny(more like pigeon wings), I’ve counted six pieces for $ 4.99/$ 2.30 as an add-on, just average in taste. This was my first and will be my last time eating here unless they can cook their cheese steak and their fries right.

If the owner is in = 5 stars. Great food and a nice guy helping. Tonight — nice kid working the griddle; total dbag running the show. I know the owner gets it – be friendly, earn return business. Ignore customers and then act rude when you do finally acknowledge them? That is unacceptable service. this is not Blondies pizza, I don’t come here for insulant service

Where’s the beef man?! Went here for a quick stop last night and ordered the«king of philly». The joke is on them lol. Having been to Philly several times, this was by no means an impressive sandwich. The meat lacked density and didn’t have impressive flavoring at all, tasted like ground up sponge wrapped in bread. I pretty much had to load the sandwich with mustard to make it taste halfway decent. I honestly really wanted this place to be good as I travel through this location all the time. But, unfortunately, it wasn’t… Right when I walked into this place, I realized it wasn’t the best option for me, as the restaurant had a stale smell consisting of vinegar and dirty mop water. The staff wasn’t all that friendly and the prices weren’t even good, did I mention that they don’t have pickles?! What the heck?! Negative 4 stars for lack of Philly authenticity. Pros– Name Location Cons– Taste Dirty place Smelled No pickles Not friendly staff Small sandwich Meat consistency Soggy bread Misrepresentation of the Philly cheesesteak Meat to bread ratio

Average at best. I have not been back. There was more bread than meat and the place was not real clean. I’d rather get a sandwich from subway.

What a complete disappointment. Let’s start with the fact that nearly an hour has passed, an a funky aftertaste continues to haunt me. To the cheesesteak: they were trying to stay true to Philadelphia’s signature dish, but just didn’t make it on the two primary ingredients; the BUN and the STEAK! The bun was at least trying to be like the real thing, but went weird with the possibly stale heel and cornmeal sprinkling… The steak just wasn’t good, and even as much grease was on it the meat was still dry. I’m still not sure what left me with the bad aftertaste, but rest assured, it won’t happen again.
