Wow! Just visiting, good choice. All of the elements of the sandwich were flavorful and well balanced. Worth every penny.

Ordered a turkey sandwich on wheat today. Not a bad sandwich. A bit more turkey would be nice. Adorable little restaurant. Next time, I’ll try a hot sandwich.

Alright I’ll keep this short and sweet. I’ve been here twice so far and I must say they do a good sandwich. Both experiences have been a thumbs up. The first time I went the girl inquired if this was my first time there? I said it was and she recommended a few things I went with the spicy Julio per her recommendation. It was a winner! Second time around I went with the B.L.A.T.(bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato) and the only issue I had with it was my sandwich got cold sitting in Mira Mesa traffic! But otherwise it was delicious. I’ll definitely be returning to try the grilled cheeses or the breakfast sandwiches.

Sandwich emporium is a nice little deli located next to Babies R’ Us and Target. It’s small, seats about 18 people tops, but offers a very diverse menu. They have 30+ sandwiches, that include chiken sandwiches and grilled cheese. They also offer fresh salads, veggie options, dessert options. I’ve only had their chiken pesto sandwich and Reuben, both of ‘wich(see what I did there) were tasty! Their sandwiches(all come with a pickle) are all under $ 8 and a meal(«Dirty» brand kettle potato chips and a fountain drink) will run you around 12 bucks. Overall the quality and variety are excellent and the price is about right. I am a repeat customer for a reason.

Dropped by the other day to give this place a try. Food: Got the«Spicy Julio» which is one of their house favorites. It came with slow cooked house roast beef, pepper jack cheese, avocado, grilled onions. lettuce, tomato, their house recipe spicy sauce on a grilled roll for $ 7.99+tax What really piqued my interest was when I asked for ranch dressing, the nice lady brought out a small container and notified me that it was house-made ranch. It was really good at first, but the more I ate it, the peppery flavor was a bit overwhelming. In small doses, it was quite delicious. Interior: It’s small and intimate, you get to really focus on the sandwich more than your surroundings. Overall it was a great experience. Would go back to try to Reuben or their Pastrami

Little sandwich shop in a plaza bear target, hidden gem! After looking at the extensive menu for five minute we decided on the Crannie melt(5star) the three grilled cheese(4stars) and it was so good we decided to get a sandwich to go(the thanksgiving). Definitely worth visiting if in the area!

I have tried so many sandwiches among all my travels in different countries, and I must say yours is on top of the list! Not only that, your staff are the coolest. Kudos to the owners Angela, Peter, and John. Will definitely come back.

SANDWHICHESMADEWELL!!! I’ve visited the claire mont branch and the Mira Mesa branch. And in both branches the staff were very friendly making my dining experience always very pleasant. After shopping at the Target in Mira Mesa I always pass by to get my Spicy Julio! it never disappoints! Prices are very reasonable. Also, They have this chocolate chip cookie that they bake themselves, it’s sooo good! Chewey and not so sweet. You can find it on displayed near the cashier on the left. :) I recommend this sandwich shop to everybody! Enjoy!!!

Loved all their sandwiches until today. I found a HAIR in my Spinach and Mushroom breakfast sandwich after having eaten the majority of it. Took it back to let the lady know and she offered to remake it but didn’t offer a refund as well. She didn’t seemed too concerned when I mentioned the hair either. As a manager in a well known food chain business, I would offer to remake the food and a refund as well so the customer leaves happy but she didn’t even do that. It was only her working so I couldn’t ask to speak to a manager about the situation. The sandwich wasn’t well made either and it was burnt on one of the pieces of bread. Other times I’ve had this sandwich it was beautifully made and delicious but it seemed like she made it in a rush when I was the only customer there. Might not go back because of this lack of consistency and the hair in the food

I need to come back and try something with meat on it. I’m Catholic and it’s the middle of leant, so no meat Friday. My boyfriend was craving this place and claimed its his favorite sandwich spot. There were so many tempting things in the left side of the menu, I was disappointed at my options. And no, I’m not saying this place is a 3 star establishment… Just that I haven’t experienced it to its possible 5 start potential. Small inside with a table outside, more of a quick grab and go looking place, but I can’t wait to try it on another day

Had the Spicy Pastrami and it had great flavor and was very hearty. The mint strawberry lemonade was also delicious!

I had the New Yorker(pastrami sandwich) no mayo and add red onions And GODDAMN. Best Pastrami I have ever had and my dad makes some pretty killer pastrami. Cute place my girl really enjoyed the environment and cute like things on the wall but definitely will be going again because that was so outstanding.

Amazing sandwhiches and a crazy wide variety. Tiny dining room so if you come between 12 – 1 theres a chance you cant sit there.

What a find! This place is small and hidden right in the babies r us shopping center. With 6 or so tables, it has a really cozy feel. The menu is extensive with a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from. I chose the BLAT, which was a delicious concoction of freshly cooked bacon, plentiful avocado, lettuce, and tomato on fresh sourdough. It really hit the sandwich spot. My boyfriend ordered the pesto chicken bacon, which he raved about. Such a delicious and affordable lunch!

I’ve been told to check this place out so I dropped by when I was in the area. While my sandwich was good, it was overshadowed by the sticky tables. Whatever they used to clean the tables with left a sticky residue that my cardigan stuck and napkins stuck to. If I’m in the area I’ll stop by here again but Ill order to go instead.

Wow… what a nice surprise tucked to the side of a strip mall! Came here with co-workers and tried the Spicy Julio. Lots of tender roast beef, pepper jack cheese, veggies and some spicy sauce. Service was super friendly, but the space is fairly small so get here early. Definitely putting this into the regular lunch rotation!

Not vegetarian friendly anymore… Menu clearly says Classic Combos 7.99 ½ Classic w/sm. Ceaser salad OR ½ Veggie w/sm. Garden Salad. The lady at the cashier said she could not give me a vegetarian option for my combo and it only applies to Classic Sandwiches.

Even though I have only been to Sandwich Emporium once before, I was coming in hoping for something a little more meaty. Last time I got the BLT and this time, I really didn’t know what to get. When I walked inside, I felt like getting a pastrami sandwich, especially since the Quiznos that was nearby, had been closed. So I looked on the board and saw that the New Yorker was a pastrami sandwich. After ordering, I sat down and patiently waited for my sandwich to be brought to my table. There weren’t many people in there, so I knew I wasn’t going to wait a very long time. When the girl thought me my sandwich, she apologized for me having to wait, even though I didn’t wait that long. The sandwich itself was nice and meaty, especially on a toasted roll. The pastrami was really flavorful and the bread, toasty and soft. I added the hot sauce and the mustard and that really added the kick that I needed. Overall I think this place is a little pricey, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The girl at the front was really nice and the food tastes great. Check it out if you feel like trying it, but if you are here for the price, you could go somewhere else.

Walked in and wasn’t sure how this had the reviews it did. The place was on the smaller side and the menu was a bit overwhelming. We asked questions on the menu, and didn’t get much help figuring out what to order… That being said we stayed and ordered since there aren’t many options around there, and were so glad we did! We ordered the BBQ Chicken Ranch, the Super Decker and a tomato soup. The ingredients were fresh, the portion size on the bigger size, and everything tasted great! If we did this again we’d try something other than the Super Decker, only because it is typical deli fare and this place has so many other great options. Definately will be back when I hit up Target(right next door).

Best sandwiches in Mira Mesa, there’s not many places like this around here. They have both hot and cold cut sandwiches. My to goto sandwich here, is the California with bacon. A few other good ones are the thanksgiving, spicy Julio, and New Yorker. On rainy days the jalepeno grilled cheese with a side of tomato soup, hits the spot! The ladies who work here are so sweet, so make sure you’re nice to the ladies who work here!
