They are closed down, looks like for good. :( Too bad, I really liked this location. Always friendly and nice, and great service. Oh well, too bad.

I like Arby’s and once in a while even crave it. This is a nice spacious location. Sure, the prices of fast food at Arby’s isn’t dirt cheap, as a sandwich alone will set you back $ 4 – 5 without a drink or side, but once in a while there’s some sales promotions for items, mainly handcuffed to buying multiples of their standard roast beef sandwich ‘tho, so you’d need either a big appetite, love leftovers or with a larger group to ever find a need to buy 3, 45 or more sandwiches to get the price break. The roast beef is good, not carved prime rib nor like deli cold cuts, but there’s something about it which I like. The french dip(basically add the aus jus) is very good always. This is located in the Shelter Island area of San Diego, and if you’re in the area is one of the better late night and affordable food options(it’s either this, McDonald’s or Denny’s).

Yesterday, about mid afternoon, I spotted an Arby’s on my way thru Point Loma as I was headed out from Shelter Island and it being awhile, It sounded like a good choice for lunch. After I ordered my lunch, two of their small classic sandwiches, a small soda and five large onion rings for $ 11.29, ouch! I sat down at a table near the front of the restaurant and as the place was almost silent due to only a couple of other single people being in there, there was a very lite sound of radio commercials coming from the overhead speakers which after about five minutes seem kind of annoying and there was also this kind of high squeaking noise coming from the kitchen that turned out to be the toaster the cashier told me as I was leaving, I think some WD40 is overdue for that thing. Anyway, the sandwiches were small I thought for the price but they were fresh and tastey, though the five very large onion rings were a bit too doughy for my taste so I peeled off most of the breading before eating the rest of them. I think the next time I might stop in for snack but its a bit too pricey for a Arby’s lunch in my opinion, I mean, for just a few dollars more there are much better options in Point Loma and also Shelter Island, no doubt.

After spending a romantic day at sunset cliffs, which was very gorgeous and I highly recommend that place, my boyfriend wanted Arby’s. This is by far the most depressing place in the San Diego area. Plain white walls with grandma style paintings, busted up ceiling tiles, the oh so calming screeching sound of the machines in the back and the very low volume of the rap music playing over the sound system. If you want to feel like you’re about to go crazy, this is the place to eat.

Man there were alot of homeless people there that place kinda stunk. The food was good for fast food, as fresh as can be for fast food. But the customer service was on point. The ladies were diffinitly working hard.

I love the beef & Cheddar sandwich it’s the bomb. I’ll have to try the bbq beef sandwich. The was a good change of pace from the burgers at other places.

I have only been through the drive-thru so I cannot speak for the interior condition/ambience. Thanks to other Unilocalers, I made sure to ask for extra napkins haha. The drive-thru is not the most efficient, kind of slow(even when you are the only car in line). However, in my experience, Arby’s is not usually the fastest«fast food» option. My order was correct, which is the biggest check mark in my book. The food was served hot and tasty and the portions seemed in line with what was expected. As for the new cheese-filled soft pretzel bites, I’ll pass next time. They looked so appetizing in the product photo but were served greasy, extra salty, and not as hot as would be necessary for the cheese to melt properly. Overall, Arby’s is still one of my fav’s but this location needs to just work on efficiency.

The restaurant is a bit dated. But it’s clean and roomy. The staff was super friendly and the food was actually pretty good. Got my favorite French Dip sandwich here. It’s just a plain and simple French Dip. Which in my opinion is the best. Now a days most places try to out do each other with the ridiculous addition of stupid ingredients so that after awhile the sandwich becomes either a) nothing like what one would expect(ie Spam Musubi — «wtf??? who put spam in my sushi??) or b) stupidly huge(i.e. a 1 foot sub you can have your way that comes out that same freakin way). Nope, Arby’s French Dip is plain and simple sandwich. Bread, meat, two slices of cheese, and the broth. Thanks Arby’s for keeping it simple my irritable bowel thanks you.

I thought it would be fun to review an Arby’s right after I reviews Roy’s because of the contrast. Here’s what’s great about this Arby’s: People generally go to all the other fast-food joints on this strip and Arby’s often is a quick-in, quick-out scenario because no one is ever in line. When you couple that with how the sandwiches are generally less destructive for your health, that’s a pretty good deal. Also, this location is serving the mint shakes again. I don’t know if it has anything to do with the upcoming Irish holiday but I’m not complaining.

The food was reasonably priced and the service was good, even speedy. My only complaint is the buns were stale. You could tell they toasted them to try to cover up the staleness. I just picked of the roast beef that is always awesome.

My review will be on the drive through experience. Talking through that intercom they have sux. I couldn’t understand them or they couldn’t understand me. Either way it goes I didn’t receive my complete order. Had to go back they realized their mistake when the saw me cause I went through the drive through again but they didnt answer. Apologizing that it was their mistake I’m like ok I wasted my gas to come back for your mistake and I just get an apology. Yeah I’m looking for like ok here is a small fries or a dessert pie but nope.

Not bad for an Arby’s. The food was OK, but the service was pretty slow. Also, the staff had some interesting communication issues with each other and the customers. The inside was quite run down. My wife and I really just go for the value menu and for something different, but the options are getting fewer and smaller…

Of fast food, this is the best you can get. It’s my bf’s favorite fast food place and their BLT’s are SO good!

i know its just arby’s but.really. this place has obviously not been updated– or cleaned, probably, since 1992 or something. same greasy, gut-busting fare that youre looking for when you decide to brave arby’s, but this place could use a face-lift even by those standards, to be honest.

4 stars cause of the food/coupns. The inside of the store desperately needs a remodel. And yet, should I be so vain? Why can’t we just enjoy the fact that we have a place to come inside and eat a hot meal with a cold soda? I spent some time in mexico, and we should really be thankful for what we have in America. If this restaurant were down there in TJ, it would be the Crème de la crème as far as it’s inside décor and A/C. haha

Arby’s is tricky. They try to fool you into thinking that their food is healthier than other fast food because they offer a variety of roast beef containing options that they claim are less greasy than a burger, but the meat, cheese, and bread are so processed that they taste like plastic. In fact, I’m certain that their cheese isn’t cheese at all, but more closely identifies with a yellow vinyl paste. That being said, their fast food version of a French dip is a pretty good imitation of the real thing and comes with a pretty good au jus, the curly fries are heavenly, and my husband raves about their jamocha shakes. This location was slow, just like most arby’s I have encountered.

Arby’s touts itself as a roast beef restaurant but in reality the roast beef they serve there is highly processed and completely artificial, aka fake, but somehow it all comes together to form a tasty fast food treat. Love the selection of sandwiches & that Arby’s sauce is the shizz. I wish they sold bottles of it to the public! lol Curley fries are good too and I have never encountered any problems with the service here. Bonus too is when they have the 5 roast beef sandwiches for $ 5 deal going on. Good fast food that offers an alternative to the usual burger and fry combo. My stomach & tastbuds are happy here. I’ll be back for more!
