Decided to finally try this place after watching the construction. It is nothing like anything else out there. With a Mediterranean feel, the options are great. The Beef/lamb combo has a mild flavor which is a good thing because I don’t really care for lamb by itself. As a first timer, the menu was a little confusing until it was our turn to order. Then the guy behind the counter explained it, and it all made sense. I recommend the wrap with the beef/lamb. It’s more of a burrito than abwrap, but it’s still really good. I tried the spicy red sauce, and holy cow it’s spicy! Next time, I think I’ll pass on the extra squirt they offer. Customer service was great. Everyone was patient with us first timers and didn’t try to rush us even though there was a line beginning to form behind us. Everything was clean and tables were wiped down. I hate when I come into a place and have a hard time finding a table that’s clean. I didn’t have to worry about that here. Overalm, a good experience. A little pricey, but the food is fresh, and you get what you pay for.

I love mediterranean food. My family has such a good experience in this place. The menu was easy to order from, it was very clean in there. The staff was very helpful and had a clean appearance. The food we got was awesome! We loved it and I can’t wait to go back again so I can put some pictures in this review.

This 5 star rating is for the customer service. I had a previous review for the food a few weeks ago. I was contacted by the company regarding the«snack» portion no longer selling at the Culebra location. He clarified that they are still selling the snack portion. My comment was then forwarded to the GM and the issue was resolved with the staff. Thank you so much vertskebap for reaching out and solving this issue. And thank you for the free voucher. I’m very excited to go back.

When comparing this to döner kebab in Europe it certainly can’t hold a light. However, when rating this with regards to places in San Antonio it is not a bad lunch spot, or place to grab a quick sandwich. The meat is a little overcooked and they barely give you any(esp considering a sandwich is $ 8), also it is not served on the right bread at all, in my opinion. The toppings were fresh though and sauces were yummy. Service wasn’t great but it wasn’t poor either. I am not sure if I would come back when there are a couple of good restaurants in the area to grab kepab, but I would maybe stop back in if I was in the area and needed a quick grab for food.

As soon as I saw the word«kebap» on their signage I knew where I was going to have my lunch, and I’m so glad to have finally found a place to get doner kebab in San Antonio! Smaller portions than one would expect having only known it from Germany(½−1/3 the size, and less loaded with meat but the ones I had in Germany tended towards far too oversized anyways and left little room for toppings), but way more(clearly nice and fresh) choices for toppings and sauces. I went with a regular beef/lamb kebab with mixed greens, tomato, onion and cucumber with garlic sauce, and I have to say — megatasty. The lady who assembled it for me was polite and friendly, and was ready to help guide folks who had never had a kebab before along in their order.

I really enjoyed my Mediterranean/European dish! I got a chicken kebap, vegetarian style, and it was very delicious. The food didn’t feel to heavy like a traditional burger, but I became full off of the snack size. The employees were very welcoming. Chris guided us through the process since we never been to this restaurant. If you like Mediterranean type of food, I suggest giving it a try.

It’s just ok. Not real Doner Kebab… More of a salad sandwich with a little meat.

This place is not very good. Pricey and in un-good. I’ve had tons of kabob in Germany… this is not the same. We left half un-eaten. We’ll never return

The food and the service were both great! The restaurant was very clean the workers behind the counter were nice and helpful when explaining the menu. I would compare it to Chipotle style restaurant serving gyros, salads and wraps instead of burritos. Enjoyed my meal a lot and can’t wait to go back and have it again

It’s pretty good, a little pricey. Two of us and the bill comes up to $ 30+ for lunch. They also have a couple of Texas beer on draft.

Sorry folks, not what I expected. I really wanted to like this place, but it was just not that good. I was mostly eating a salad sandwich with a little meat. Yes, I have lived in Germany, no, I have never tasted anything like this there. I gave it 3 stars because the falafel was really good. I bet if I had a sandwich with only falafel, tomato, cucumber and dressing, it would be soooooo much better.

Nice and fresh options. It’s like Mediterranean chipotle. Healthy and fresh. The staff is ok, still working out kinks I think to be the most efficient but food is good and not too expensive.

YUMMO! My boyfriend and are fans of the VertsKebap at North Park, so we were excited that they opened this location at Alamo Ranch. What I like about Vertskebap is that you can load up as many toppings and sauces as you want and it’s a perfect, economical meal. Melody was very considerate and got us fresh beef/lamb for our kebabs. I ordered my usual, snack size kebab with garlic sauce, cucumber, spring mix, and tomato. My boyfriend likes the Red Hot(if you like spicy, you’ll like it too). The only negative was that I tried the falafel for the first time and it was just okay. I recommend getting fries instead. I’m happy to report that our bill was less than $ 20 for the two of us! If you haven’t tried a kebap before, I definitely recommend coming here. These kebaps are very similar to the ones we had when we were in Europe a couple of years ago! We’ll definitely be back.

Went at 7:30pm… 30 minute wait for Beef/Lamb… seriously!!! I was so excited to try their Beef/Lamb seeing this use to be my favorite meal in Germany from when I lived in the Netherlands… wah wah… too bad for me. Had their chicken pita instead. What’s going on with their chicken… tastes like shredded chicken jerky!!! Dry, stringy, and a little too salty for my taste. At least my wife liked her chicken wrap. IFFF I go back, then hopefully they will have the Beef/Lamb. For sure no more chicken for me.

I hadn’t found a good donner kebap place in San Antonio until today. Good food and quite a few different options from a couple kinds of spindle-cooked meat to vegetarian options as well. I went with a group from work and everybody found something they liked. Not only did they have the typical cream sauce, they also had some spicier options as well as one with garlic. You can customize your sandwich and/or salad the way you want. I’d definitely go back.

first off I was very happy with the food. this is the first European flavor Donner Kabob I have had in the nine years since I was living in Germany. The fries were a perfect salty, crispy and tender. The Lamb was well cooked but not dry and the salad ingredients were fresh and crisp. Now the sauces were exceptional they make a great garlic, the spicy red is spicy and the hot actually has a little kick. I am coming back for sure. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is the head persons personality was poor not friendly or welcoming at all especially for a new spot trying establish a client base.

Just OK all the way around… Staff was OK but not overly friendly and had to repeat order a couple of times. It is the Subway of Mediterranean food. If you want to get above average look a little further…

New in the neighborhood! Across from the HEB on Culebra and 1604. Ample parking, corner spot. You can order pita style, tortilla or salad. Choice of chicken, beef & lamb, falafel. Add greens, corn, cucumbers etc as well as specialty sauces. We ordered a small side of sweet potato fries cooked to order. Choice of bottled specialty sodas as well as fountain drinks and craft beers. Specials on Tuesday evenings. We ordered a regular size chicken kebap Verts style with potato fries and a fountain drink. $ 12.50. The kepap was large enough you’d have to dislocate your jaw like a snake to get a full bite. But once you do, the flavors run wild. Sweet and spicy with a hint of fire grilled from the chicken. The sauce was a bit overwhelming but good nonetheless. Sweet potato fries were delicious. A bit salty but wash it down with a fountain drink or beer. They had vitamin water as an option for a fountain drink. Large eating area with tables and bar stools. Friendly staff left a good first impression. Nice spot for semi-fast food in a highly competitive food area. We’ll be back to try other options. See you for dessert!
