Awesome place with great service. This facility has a lot of pros and one con. I visit this restaurant weekly if I can«Friday’s of course» I always sit at the bar where the bartenders are friendly and ready to serve you. I’ve gotten to know some staff members which is pretty awesome therefore, I feel welcomed. The food here is awesome! They have the best; happy hour, mole enchiladas, and fried mahi mahi. My favorite bar drinks are negra modelo and the cabo Rita. I’ve seen they’ve had some remodeling done. From the blinds to the new painted doors and painted benches. I do like that have some pots with flowers on the patio. It’s bring out the place. I also like that they decorate the restaurant during holidays. The one con would be the paint job inside the restaurant due to wear and tear over the years but no biggie because the staff and management team keep this place clean and ready for their loyal guest like myself.

Food was pretty good. Service was seriously the worst thing I have ever experienced. Walked in to an empty restaurant. Asked to sit outside. Had to wait 5 mins. service from there took forever. Empty drinks, empty chip basket, didn’t place the appetizer order right. Very disappointing.

Great food all around. The service was exceptional. They were slightly busy but the server was very attentive and we felt very catered too.

My husband and I have been dining at this particular Tiago’s location for 5 years, however, we will no longer return after this past Friday evening. My husband ordered the Cilantro Lime Chicken Skewer — as he was swallowing the first piece of chicken he had eaten off of the skewer, he noticed that the middle of all of the pieces of meat were completely raw. I immediately flagged down the kitchen manager who apologized and took the plate away. Our waitress returned to the table with some type of consent form that stated if my husband ended up seeking medical attention, to contact them and it would be taken care of. While I do find that very courteous, I also find it to be completely ridiculous that this even happened. Pure carelessness. Tiago’s did comp our meals, however, we did pay for our alcohol. No big deal, we were definitely appreciative. While I am impressed with how they handled the issue, I am upset that it happened to not only my husband, but to myself and the guest we brought. It is now Sunday and we still aren’t feeling well, and we all ordered different meals. It is a true disappointment seeing as this was one of my favorite places to dine. Usually weekly. Edited to say: While I understand offering a desert is a common up-sale at the end of a dining experience, I was pretty disgusted by the offer at the end of this particular meal. Seeing as how my husband had literally just returned to the table from vomiting in their restroom.

Went online to see if they had a vegetarian/vegan menu and nothing was there. They do have one and also gluten free suggestions, but you have to ask for the desperate menu. Veggie fajitas were yummy! Service is always good.

Yum! I came to this restaurant last year with my boyfriend for dinner. Unfortunately when we arrived there wasn’t anyone at the hostess stand. We waited for a few minutes, then the hostess on duty arrived to tell us that it would be a 20 minute wait, despite there being several open tables. We decided to leave after that. After trying the location at the Rim, I knew I wanted to give this location another try and I’m so glad I did! The food, service and price were all great! I went today for lunch with my mom and our server Lulu was AMAZING! She was incredibly patient with our questions about the menu and very kind. My mom had accidentally ordered the wrong item and Lulu fixed it right away and made sure we had everything we needed for our meal. We sampled the fajitas, sour cream chicken enchiladas and the pecan wood-smoked pork ribs. The fajitas were good and a very generous portion. The enchiladas and ribs were very flavorful. For dessert we had the Mexican chocolate cake and it is definitely as good as everyone says. It’s a huge piece of soft delicious cake with hints of cinnamon and spice, and served with an equally huge scoop of cinnamon ice cream. The cake can easily be shared with four or five people! I look forward to coming back to try more!

I come here more than any other place in the 151&410 area. First — the sangria swirl margarita is amazing! Perfect drink! Second — the chocolate cake for dessert is the best. I dream about it. It reminds me of a coca-cola cake that I bake, but I need to remember to add cinnamon on the ice cream next time. The Baka fish tacos(minus the rice add veggies) is my go-to plate. Never had bad service. However one trip my friend kept getting dirty cups from the bar — meaning she ordered a regular margarita and her cup was laced with purple floating pieces from a previous order. Manager was on top of it after the 2nd time it happened. That made me a little apprehensive to return, but I have. :)

Had the Baja fish taco’s, borracho beans, and rice. The beans were pretty good. The rice was good, and the tacos where ok. The fish tacos were a little different then what I was use to. The didn’t taste bad. The had a little to much pineapple in them that over powered everything else. The patio was very nice and the service was good. Over all a good experience.

My 5 stars is for my waiter Art and the chef. So i had Graduated April 1st and we had 1wanted to go to 54th st bar and grille but they had a 2 hour wait for a 13 top party. So i called Tiagos and informed them that we were on our way. Let me add that they close at 10pm and we were showing up close to 9:30 so im sure that no one wanted to take us. The girls in the front ignored us till i got one of their attention and she was very sweet to us. She made sure that the kids had paper and crayons and then she sat our group in the back. We had Art as our server and he was such a doll. We all abaolutely LOVE him. He explained the difference between some of the plates they had and their drinks, other helpers came and brought us chips and salsa and they even refilled the baskets. This change in resturaunts was the best decision. We were treated kind and we werent rushed. The chef came out and he was such a sweetheart but i cannot remember his name. Im so sorry. Compliments to the chef of course. I appreciate them so much because i know they could have turned us away and they could have been rude but they werent at all. Oh and Art even brought me the most amazing chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream dessert. I felt so special… Best Waiter Award definitely goes to Art and Best Chef Award goes to the chef from that evening. Im so sorry i forgot his name. Again, im So sorry we came in late. Thank u so much for the wonderful expirience. We have no complaints and the food was delicious. I know everyone was tired. Thank You for saving my Graduation Night. I adore you guys!

Went on a Sunday, usually it is very crowded then. This time, not so much, wondered why. Have they declined in some way? They were advertising a fried jalapeño catfish plate. Sounded tasty so that is what I ordered. Unfortunately I didn’t read the description close enough. First off the batter is not corn meal, surprising to say the least, have never had catfish in anything other than cornmeal batter(this is Texas). My first bite, nice crunch considering the batter wasn’t cornmeal. But something was missing. Little to no jalapeño flavor or bite, disappointing. The thing I should have read closer about. Poblano Sauce. I assumed it would be served similar to tartar sauce and you could dip it or add as desired. No, the 2 small fillets were drenched in it. The sauce was just OK, nothing special. The real problem occurs as you eat the fillets. The sauce tends to make the batter soggy in just a short time, YUCK. Homey don’t like soggy batter on fish, what’s the point of batter then? HELLO. Also the fish was very fishy tasting in an ‘old fish’ sort of way, the first couple bites and that is never good. It got milder as I ate, maybe because I was distracted by the soggy batter. It came with some tasteless grilled veggies and rice. Seasoning would have been nice even if it was just lemon juice on the veggies. they didn’t even use salt. Maybe it was an off day, but I wouldn’t have ordered this if I had read closer about the sauce topping the fish instead of on the side. My bad. I was probably too distracted by the thought of a spicy crunchy batter on tasty fish to read that part. Soggy Batter? Really? I just don’t get it, and won’t ever again.

My favorite place to eat! I eat here several times a week! I love their happy hour– half priced appetizers in the whole restaurant! Every day too! My favorite meal is between the street vendor tacos, that are made with fajita meat and pineapple pico or verde enchiladas! It’s the perfect amount of food that is fresh and has a lot of flavor! I never leave hungry. They have AMAZING drinks(piña coladas are my favorite!) They have a lot of margarita options that never disappoints family and friends. The Mexican chocolate cake is the reason my Godson loves Tiago’s so much! He always request it during his visits. There’s a reason I love this place so much and food and how it’s prepared is one of them!

When you are in San Antonio… it’s simply a must that you get Mexican style cuisine. It’s just what you do when you are here if you want to be considered a true Texan. So even if you’re not from Texas… do like the Texans do and get you some sizzilin’ fajitas and a sangria margarita. It is an order! Anyway… stepping off of my soap box. We came to this location with a friend who lives in the area as she recommended it among the sea of spots in the vicinity. The hostess got us quickly seated and we ordered some beverages off of the happy hour menu(HH for most of the day and even on the weekends… score!) My ‘rita was nice and icy and strong just like I like it. Perfect to cool off after a busy day running around or road tripping it. We also got some queso for the table to share. Get the one with fresh guacamole, tomatoes and ground beef inside. Fantastic and dangerously good! I was running a half marathon the very next day so decided to be a little naughty and just enjoy it. I also split the chicken fajitas which were fantastic and we could barely finish them… they loaded us up on that grilled chicken. They have a nice big patio as well to kick it on a sunny day or starry night. I loved this place and love that it is not your typical chain Tex Mex joint! Plus the ambiance cranks this one up and gives it another star. Very fun vibe and cool atmosphere.

We are staying at a nearby hotel and ordered to go. The service was excellent, in and out in less than 5 min. They smiled and acknowledged me as soon as I walked up. The food was excellent. My husband had the cilantro chicken dish. I had the black beans and we shared a very large portion of chocolate cake. I should have taken pictures but was too hungry to wait. Excellent experience all around. Thanks to Unilocal for suggesting it!

I’ve visited this a tiagos many times. Today was by far the worst experience. Our server/bartender lacked major social skills. Analisa didn’t even cracking a smile the entire time we were there. Felt like it’s being served by a prison guard. I ordered the guacamole burger and it was so gross. I didn’t even eat half of my meal, still paid the full tab though. I called shortly after leaving to tell the Manger that my meal upset my stomach, I felt sick. He said it wasnt his restaurant because food poisoning takes 2 days to get in my system… really!!! No customer service skills for any of the staff at all. **UPDATE** I received a call from the general manager and corporate office. They went out of their way to make up the bad experience! I really appreciate the eagerness to ensure my return. That’s what makes a great establishment!

It’s been a very long time since I have been to a place like this. This was a casual, family-friendly establishment that was filled with TVs and had a line out the door on a Friday evening. The place was extremely loud and had some kids running around the tables. The staff were mostly kids who were good at what they do but overall, this place was average at best. It was good for the quick, easy meal that my wife and I were looking for but I wouldn’t go here on a regular occurrence. The food was good enough. It mostly consisted of highly-Americanized southern California and northern Tijuana-style Mexican foods. I went with the Cabo-topped shrimp enchiladas($ 10.80) with white sauce and it was very rich. The rice and beans were standard and I was happy with them. Of course the meal came with endless chips and salsa and drinks big enough to swim in. Overall, this place was a great stop for families and those with small kids. It felt very suburban and casual. I wouldn’t recommend this place for those that are looking for a great meal but I would recommend it if you are in the area and need something quick to eat.

I really liked it! The chips and salsa are truly amazing and I unfortunately had to turn down that second basket of chips(as tempting as it was). I had the Mahi Mahi skewers(lunch portion for $ 9) and my husband had the chicken skewers(dinner portion). We both really enjoyed how delicious the meat was! If you’re going, definitely get one of their wood grilled specialities! I will definitely return, and you can reasonably get a delicious lunch ANY day of the week for $ 10 — which includes that delicious basket of chips and salsa!

Love the table side guac, only wished the server would wear gloves to prepare it. Food has always been good, drinks are yummy; I usually order an appetizer as my dinner because they are good sizes(plus they are discounted at HH!). Service is hit or miss; sometimes you have an attentive server and there are other times when you are kept waiting — seems to be a younger wait staff so just go in knowing this piece of info. Parking is a mess in that strip mall so drive carefully. We like sitting on the patio but smoking is allowed so that’s annoying. Inside has TVs, small bar area, a few high tops, booths, tables… maybe not great for large groups unless you sit on the patio.
