Ceviche average at best. Large serving but with fair amount shrimp and mahi mahi. Fire grilled Chicken with mango habanero vinegarette was huge and wife reports that she enjoyed it. The real enjoyable part was the frozen Classic mojito. I shoved the mint garnish to the bottom of the glass and and muddled it myself and the flavor was great!

This place exceeded my expectations. Thanks ROBERTA!!! I was only looking for a Tex-Mex place and found this on Unilocal.Stop here for some amazing chicken. It’s been brined so it’s moist and yummy, then it’s grilled over mesquite. Then it’s topped with a nut-free pesto that takes it over the top! The dish comes with 2 breasts! I should’ve ordered the kebabs since I couldn’t take it to go. Hubby ordered 2 chicken tacos with Mexican rice and refried beans. He said those were really good. Because we were new, we were treated to their signature chocolate cake and ice cream. But this was no ordinary dessert. It was Mexican chocolate cake made in house daily– so moist and yummy! Topped with chocolate sauce. The ice cream was made with cinnamon. A great pairing! Thank goodness the cake was only a half piece! We could barely finish it. Boy do I wish I lived here! I’d be here all the time.

Service was great. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu offered great insights on what to eat as well drink. The Mucho grande burrito was quite delicious the waiter even handmade our guacamole for chips as well it’s served for our dinner side also. The carnet Asada steak and enchiladas with black beans was quite delicious. The strawberry mango frozen and La perfecto were too very tasty margaritas the waiter recommended and we’re quite superb

After a long morning from completing a triathlon, my friends and I wanted to treat ourselves with a Mexican kind of fix and this place delivered. It’s more of a Tex-Mex place in my opinion but food was overall tasty. The complimentary chips and salsa were addicting, our waiter had to keep bringing a new bowl of chips constantly because we devoured them so fast. We also added chili con queso and calamari as our starter. The chili con queso is very hearty, so if you’re into that this is for you, I wasn’t a fan of it. Who orders calamari at a Mexican place, I guess we do HAH, it was decent, but be careful because you might take a bite into what looks like calamari but it’s really an onion. The zesty chipotle mayo though was great! There«lunch» menu is also available on the weekends, so lighter on the«portion» and the wallet but definitely not light fulfilling your craving. I got the fish tacos, which was a bit odd because it’s basically one long burrito cut in half, but I didn’t mind, which also came with rice and beans, I opted out of the beans and doubled my rice. The combo of the Baja fish tacos, the zesty chipotle mayo and mango salsa were on point! I also tried my boyfriend’s order of chicken verdes and it was yummy as well. Overall, food was pleasant and I’d come again. So something happened to the restrooms while we were there, a plumbing issue, so you couldn’t flush the toilet or wash your hands, what an unfortunate situation. This area gets packed so it might be challenge looking for parking especially on the weekends, we had to park at Bass Pro Shop and walk a little in the heat.

Tiagos Cabo Grille hit the spot for lunch. Starting off with light and crisp chips with roasted salsa; mango tea and capping off with delicious Baja fish tacos. Also kuddos to our server Mr. Lincoln for making us feel at home, he was on top of his game.

I love the fact that they have benches on their patio! We frequent this place often for good solid Mexican food. The fajitas and their meat skewers always hit the spot. Fresh, hot and tasty. A nice selection of margaritas, great wait staff and a good happy hour keep us coming back.

Parking can be difficult to find on a weekend but it is worth it! We had the enchilada trio and the mixed grill skewers. Shared the them between two adults and our one-year-old and it was the perfect meal! Definitely try the sangria margarita swirl(very yum!) but the regular margarita is a little sweet and weak.

Good food and service. This isn’t a Michelin 3 star Mexican-French fusion cuisine restaurant. The concept is simple. Various meats and veggies are roasted over a wood burning grill. Although they claim its Mexican seafood centric it leans more toward the rustic grill– Texas cowboy cooking side. Service was very good, refills always reliable and prompt. The chips they serve with salsa however are broken and small. Salsa was average and I expected more since they could have made many fire roasted salsas with their set-up. For a Mexican seafood restaurant they only serve gringo ceviche, poached white fish with boiled shrimp. If you want authentic ceviche look elsewhere like La Gloria or El Buccaneero down the street. They do serve seafood skewers and grilling is what they specialize in. The rice is unassuming and could use a kick, more broth, saffron, etc. The restaurant is rather small but has a patio. Overall, a good place for beers and grilled skewers of meat and seafood but not the authentic Mexican seafood experience you may want.

I met some previous co-workers here for lunch today and it was great! I parked on the movie theater side and was excited to see that this restaurant had been voted Best Salsa, Guacamole, Happy Hour and Restaurant outside of 1604 by San Antonio Express Reader’s Choice. I was the first one to arrive and even though our whole group wasn’t there yet, the hostess went ahead and sat me anyway. The restaurant was very popular for lunch time and I saw several groups of people and families enjoying their meals. The interior is casual but nice. In particular I liked the wall of colored topo chico bottles. Right after I sat down, I was greeted by the waitstaff, given chips and salsa, and asked what I wanted to drink. For my main entrée I ordered the Chicken Enchiladas Verdes from the lunch menu with borracho beans. Others in my group ordered the San Antonio Enchilada Trio(she said that the Enchilada Verde was the best), the Bacon Cheeseburger(he said it was one of the best burgers he’s had!), and the cheese enchiladas. The food came out in a reasonable time and tasted good. We also shared a Tres Leches cake for dessert. I noticed that their signature dessert is the Mexican Chocolate Cake with Cinnamon Ice Cream(I’ll definitely get this the next time I come back).

We went to San Antonio for an overnight in September, and were looking for dinner near our hotel. Tiago’s popped up with a lot of great Unilocal reviews(thanks fellow Unilocalers!), so we decided to give it a shot. We were not disappointed! The service was excellent, our server helped walk us through their pretty extensive gluten free menu to pick out options for our son — and actually made very good suggestions for all of us from drinks to dessert. Everything we tried was delicious, and we will definitely keep this on our list when we go back to San A!

We were planning on eating at Russo’s for our date night but the hostess told us the wait was going to be 25+ minutes when I clearly saw some empty tables. Leaving that place upset and grumpy due to hunger and continued looking around for another restaurant to go eat at. First time coming to Tiago’s and as soon as we walked in, they sat us down. I ordered the Chicken Burrito and my boyfriend got the Chicken Quesadilla. The food came out so quick, we only waited for 10 minutes and it was ready! The Chicken Burrito was delicious! I was surprised and wasn’t expecting any good Mexican food from Tiago’s but the chicken was so tender and the Spanish rice was seasoned well. The dish came with«spicy jalapeño sauce» and it worked so well with the burrito! The sauce was very savory and creamy with a nice hint of spice to it. I enjoyed eating the burrito alone without the sauce because I thought the burrito itself was already flavorful and I liked the natural taste of the rice and the chicken and the vegetables. The Chicken Quesadilla was tasty as well, but to my disliking, I thought it was a tad bit dry and bland. Again, the way Tiago’s cook the chicken I’m very pleased with and I’m pretty sure it will taste good in any other dishes. I wasn’t expecting«good» Mexican food from here but I was wrong. The food here are surprisingly pretty good! The prices were affordable and the amount that it comes with was decent. Overall, We made a good choice coming to Tiago’s.

Based on the varied reviews… I wanted to check Tiago’s out more than once… so I went three times. I love colorful Cantina Style Mexican Restaurants. On each occasion the Chips and Salsa were very good and the wait staff replenished the Chips and Salsa timely, as well as, the beverages when they got low. I did not have to ask. I always appreciate it when breads, tortillas, chips and beverages are replenished appropriately… as it indicates the wait staff is engaged(I don’t believe most people like to be distracted by looking around to wave down wait staff for table replenishments… and this courtesy is a star for me). I ordered Cilantro Lime Chicken($ 13.80) on two of the visits. On the first visit it was very moist and flavorful. The second trip it was slightly over cooked. I order Beef Fajitas on the third occasion and they were good.($ 14.90). The appetizers are half price during happy hour 2:00 — 6:30 M-F. I ordered Calamari($ 5.40) on the first occasion. The Calamari was above average it had a light coating… was deep fried and served with onion strings. The sauces were chipotle mayo and spicy marinara… I would order it again. On my second visit I ordered a Cabo Sampler($ 7.40), which had chicken flautas, fire-grilled beef fajita nachos, chicken empanadas and chili con queso … each item was well prepared and tasty. The third time I was there… I ordered the Shrimp & Mahi Ceviche($ 10.40 this is not a happy hour item) it is poached shrimp and Mahi Mahi pieces mixed with jalapeños, tomatoes, cilantro and lime juice. It was delicious! They had a very nice drink selection … I had Iced Tea which at $ 2.25 a glass was quite good. I gave it 5 stars because I liked the atmosphere, the food was pretty consistent, the service was good … I went back twice… and will most likely visit again!

Yummy Yummy! Ate here for lunch yesterday and I think it will be a new favorite! I wasn’t craving Mexican food so the server suggested their ½ pound angus cheeseburger. I hesitantly ordered it — omgee, it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! It was HUGE(couldn’t even eat half). It was loaded with shredded cheese, chopped tomatoes, lettuce, etc… and had a delicious chipotle mayo on the side — SO good! The fries are crispy thin and addictive:) My hubby had the Baja fish tacos which had mango, chipotle mayo, etc. looked amazing as well! We ate outside– very cute and cozy — love it! Great atmosphere

We chose this restaurant based on the rave reviews we read on Unilocal.Perhaps our expectations were too high … The food was just«okay». We ordered the Fajita Nachos, the Grilled Triple Skewers, and the Chocolate cake. The server brought our appetizer out with our main dish, which I thought was unusual. The Fajita Nachos were soggy and not at all flavorful. The chicken skewers were too salty for my palate. I could only eat one bite. The vegetables however, were tender and grilled to perfection. My husband loved the shrimp skewer. As for the cake, we are taking it to go as we just want to get out of here. The service is extremely SLOW, the atmosphere leaves much to be desired, and it is very loud!

«Get the burger.» This is what I was told. At a Tex-Mex restaurant? You bet. You won’t be sorry. A juicy, delectable half-pound cheeseburger, served on the tastiest bun you have ever placed into your mouth, is the only burger on their menu. And it IS the one to get. Lettuce and tomato alone come on it, and do not mar its taste by squirting any ketchup on it, either. Enjoy the essence of its flavors just the way it is presented before you. You may, however, choose to split it with your dining companion, as this is one substantial burger. Half of it truly is a meal. We told our server, Leo, that we intended to split it; he brought it out to us on two plates, cut in half, each of us having our own portion of skinny fries and a pickle. Joy! De-lish! The entire strategy of splitting this burger, of course, is so that you’ll have room for Tiago’s Mexican chocolate cake and scoop of cinnamon ice cream. Heaven for your taste buds, as this was without a doubt one of the richest and tastiest cakes I had ever eaten(and I’m not really a cake lover). The cinnamon ice cream with it is extremely complimentary; it enhances the flavor of the chocolate even though it would be extraordinary as a dessert in and of itself. This is a definite must-eat for all chocoholics. Going to Tiago’s? Get the burger. Yes, get the burger! And the chocolate cake!

Went to Tiago’s for a weekend lunch and tried the chicken verdes and chicken mole. At 11:30am, the seating was fast and the server attentive. The chips and salsa were really good and fresh. The chips are the crispy, melt in your mouth type and seasoned with the perfect amount of salt. No stale chips here, my friends! I liked how they had a weekday lunch menu available for every day of the week. The pricing was about $ 7 – 9 which is pretty good, considering the rising costs of food. The food came out presented very well and in perfect portions. I liked the rice and beans(we tried the boraccho and black beans). Both were tasty. The enchiladas were the perfect amount of heat. However, I would say the flavor of the mole was just not there. It was more Tex Mex than Mexican because it did not have the type of complicated spice factor that I am used to. The chicken verdes did not have a heavy tomatillo flavor. I would say that the food was good, but not as rich in flavor as other Mexican restaurants. But, I feel that it caters to a TexMex crowd so I considered it as 4⁄5 stars. The meal is a good value, filling, and fairly tasty. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting amazing, authentic Mexican food. Although, I’d venture to say the chips are one of my top favorite in the city. Perhaps if you want something different, the regular non-lunch menu may offer something better to try.
