LOVE this place! Their food is awesome, and the staff is very friendly. For work we will get tacos in the morning, or come back for lunch. Their Chicken Poblano Lunch Bowl is my favorite! As for their salsa menu, its amazing BTW, the habanero is the best — super spicy! The only complaint is how little seating there is inside. So come early or late to beat the lunch rush if eating inside.

LOVE Tacos N Salsa!!! I almost always order their Beef Fajita Nachos. My office orders at least 2 – 3 times a week, so you could say I am a regular. The owner, his wife, and son are so nice and welcoming. They are always busy as can be, but the food is always HOT and Delicious. The variety of salsas is great and the fresh pico de gallo is really good too. They sell the Liter Mexican Cokes, which alone is fantastic! Nice, cold Coke with Hot, Cheesy Nachos… yes please! The trash can taco is also very good. So far have not had anything that was not delish from this place. Best to go with cash as they at times are backed up with the credit card machine. Also, calling the order in a head of time makes things feel quicker too. Can’t wait to order again on Monday! :D

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in San Antonio. Amazing and filling tacos, plus the quinoa chicken bowl is my favorite. The place can get packed at noon, but it’s definitely worth the wait and food!

Just checked out this place for the first time, it is fantastic! I had the Taco Norteño and Carne Guisada with fried egg taco. I want to try everything on the menu, the quality of ingredients and preparation is excellent. Salsa bar too! Make sure you go Mon-Sat before 1:30, they only do breakfast/lunch.

I love this place!!! Went there today for the first time absolutely delicous. It is a cute location and the line was out the door. I had a potato and egg and barbacoa tacos. Both were delicous. The barbacoa was on point, there was no fat at all. My husband had bean and cheese and egg and bacon tacos. I will definitely come back.

Long time taco lover first time visit to this place. Absolutely delicious asada tacos. Tasty and amazing quality of the meat and ingredients. Absolutely coming back to this place. Only negative thing is they close at 130pm but still doesn’t take away from how great this place is. Definitely my new lunch place yum yum yum

Delicious!!! We came here for breakfast today based on Unilocal recommendations and I’m so happy we did! This restaurant is located in a small strip mall and can seat maybe 20 people max. We were greeted immediately by the staff and the service was quick. The chips and salsa bar were great starters. My boyfriend and I both ordered norteno tacos and they were very tasty! My boyfriend also enjoyed his fajita a la Mexicana taco and my chorizo and potato taco was delicious and not greasy. I wish this restaurant was a little bigger space wise but other than that, it is definitely worth the trip! Come early!

Need a taco fix? Well, you can get it at Tacos n Salsa. This is my to go place when I need my taco fix. This place may be small, but they sure can make some amazing tacos de carne asada! I can’t really vouch for anything else because once I ordered the taco of carne asada, I was hooked for life. The carne asada is perfectly seasoned and cooked and placed in a flour tortilla. It comes with cilantro and grilled onions. There is a small salsa bar, with a selection of salsas. The seating area is small. There’s a total of 8 tables. Service is fast and efficient. It’s all there. Carb-tortilla, protein-carne asada, condiment-salsa of your choice from the bar.

Tacos N Salsa impressed me when they first opened and have kept the momentum going full speed! My frequent go-to is the Super Street Taco plate, but the trash can tacos and the beef fajita poblano bowls are favorites as well. The lunch bowls are under 600 calories so it’s a great option for delicious food while remaining health conscious!

Thank you once again to the Unilocalers out there! We went to this amazing place and chowed on some serious breakfast tacos!!! Let’s start from the beginning. The people. I mean, for real. These are some of the nicest people you could encounter in a restaurant(and I am from the SOUTH!). The sweet girl behind the register was patient, and suggestive. She gave us some great ideas. The guy who brought the food out to our table… he noticed that our barbacoa taco had a big chunk of the fatty part. He volunteered to bring us a whole new taco. Then, of course, there is the product. The tacos themselves… AMAZING!!! We couldn’t get over how good they were. ALL of them!!! There wasn’t one that was more amazing than the other!!! We would try one, and be like THIS is my favorite, and then try another, and be like no no no, THIS is my favorite!!! We couldn’t get over how awesome the tacos were. I am SURE there are places that want to sell you breakfast tacos cheaper, but WHY!!! These are amazing, and they are still really reasonable. Freaking awesome!!! Just do it. Go here… Try it. You won’t regret it!!! I promise.

Went there Saturday(2⁄27) and the line was fairly long, but worth the wait. I got my food to go and it took some time due to a small kitchen and a tight sitting area, but the staff was great and on top of making sure everyone got their food, drinks and salsa bar(YUMMY!). Highly recommend, though next time I will order before picking up. Tried the Trash can taco and could not say anything bad about it. Lots of food in a taco! Also had the chorizo and potatoes that was delicious.

The breakfast tacos here are so scrumptious! And I have to give a shout out to the owners of Tacos N Salsa! They are so attentive, patient, friendly, kind, and excellent business owners. You can tell they find importance in establishing patron relationships! The restaurant is small and a little tight, especially when it’s busy and you’re standing in a long to-go line next to a table of customers trying to dine in. But like I said, the owners really try to accommodate and work with the customers in a small space. Owners speak both English and Spanish!

Every time I visit family in San Antonio we have breakfast tacos. It’s the easiest breakfast ever. .. we write down our order, someone calls it in and goes to pick it up, and 20 minutes later, delicious tacos are on our table! We always enjoy their tacos on homemade flour tortillas. Today I wanted to have an early lunch so I decided to go on my own to check out this place in person. I ordered four tacos all to myself, and it ended up being way too much, but the great thing about breakfast tacos(in my opinion) is that they warm up nicely later in a microwave. My order included the picadillo, the barbacoa, the norteno, and the potato and egg.(I’ve included pictures of every one in this review. I love a good Mexican-style spiced picadillo, and TNS has a pretty good one. Nothing fancy, it doesn’t even have potatoes like some picadillo recipes, but this one really hit the spot — the spices were on point! My second favorite was the barbacoa. Texas-style barbacoa is traditionally made from steaming a cow’s head(particularly the cheeks) but today barbacoa is mostly a steamed rump roast.(This is very different from California-style barbacoa, which is chunks of beef swimming in a red sauce. I grew up with the Texas-style and because I now live in Cali, and can never find the Texas-style version, I do try to have some when I visit.) TNS’s version of barbacoa is especially delicious — tender, mostly lean and free of cartilage/fat, and very flavorful. The egg and potato taco is a staple on the menu of any place serving breakfast tacos, and I’ve probably been ordering this taco since I was an itty bitty baby. From time to time I still order one because not only is it filling and delicious, but a cultural tradition. TNS’s aren’t so pretty, but still tasty. The only taco I didn’t care for as much is the norteno. It had refried beans, beef fajita, cheese and avocado. All good stuff and the taco was folded in half and grilled. All delicious stuff! So it should have been tastier, but the beans were a bit bland to me. They were a little disorganized, and they seemed overwhelmed with the line of people that was building. I could definitely see this place expanding and I think the service will improve if they have more help and more space to work with. But I definitely enjoyed the tacos here and would return. I recommend TNS!

Tacos N Salsa was one of the first restaurants that I have been to in San Antonio. It’s one of those places that doesn’t have full service; rather, you go up to the counter, order, seat yourself, get the food, get the salsa/guac, and eat. I went here for breakfast/lunch, and ordered the protein bowl. The food was very bland — I try to eat really healthy and rarely put sodium on my food but I still had to salt the food. Chips came with the order; this might be just my preference, but the chips had spices that I didn’t like. I thought that the salsa in the bar was nice… there were lots of people in the restaurant because I went during a Saturday, but I’m not sure what all the buzz is about. Overall, I would say that the restaurant was a-ok. It doesn’t have very not very long hours, so check before you go.

Tacos N Salsa is definitely my go to breakfast taco place. I enjoy the salsa bar and the variety of tacos & other items available. Must try is their Barbacoa tostada– very different but oh so good. Order at the counter & they deliver to your table. Excellent service & friendly atmosphere. You can certainly tell that there are multiple repeat customers. They also have a very busy to go service. Everything I have tried has been very tasty & have recommended, as well as brought family/friends, to enjoy the food. The place is clean, has a small seating area(maybe 20 or a few more). The only reason I am not giving a full 5 is that the coffee(although pipping hot) is a little weak and the corn tortillas. The corn tortillas are not home made. Taco perfection would be achieve with thicker corn tortillas or better yet –home made corn tortillas– would certainly bring this place up to a solid 5. Of course– saying all of that– this continues to be my go to restaurant for breakfast. They also have lunch which I haven’t tried. Go, enjoy, you won’t be disappointed. Note that they are closed on Sundays– so try it next weekend :)
