It’s a small restaurant so sometimes it’s hard to find seating during lunch time. The food is amazing and I love the lemonade! The gorditas are so yummy! I really enjoy the food here and it’s so close to home.

Excellent food. Quick service. ESL. Had the fajitas tejanas. The shrimp were very tasy and the salsa is outstanding.

Salsa was good. Our chips were a lil burnt and we got lots of crumbs but they were still ok. I got the cheese enchilada plate. The rice was really good. The enchiladas needed more sauce. All I tasted was corn tortillas and cheese. Everything was pretty cheap.

Taqueria la tapattia is a great Mexican restaurant! Food taste like it’s made with love! Only down side is it can be tuff finding parking, because it does stay busy.

Busy at lunch. Decent prices, ok staff, very typical taqueria. Pictures on menu are helpful, especially for those that aren’t familiar with the entrée names.

I’ve picked up tacos from here a few times on my way to work(and dined in once), and every time I am reminded why I didn’t like it the last time I went.(I’ll learn eventually, but save yourself the trouble, that’s what Unilocal is for!) The drive thru line is usually long and the tacos breakfast tacos are mediocre. I do like that they do not cook their eggs too watery for the tacos, but in general the food is just too greasy and not flavored enough. There are so many taquerias in the area that it’s important to stand out if you want to be successful. The prices here aren’t even very attractive. Rating system: 5 stars = I’ll drive across town specifically for this, and rave to all my friends about it! 4 stars = Would return and recommend. 3 stars = Indifferent, average, acceptable. 2 stars = You could drag me here unwilling. 1 star = I will not be returning.

My husband & I love this place! We’re from Dallas so whenever we are in San Antonio we make sure to make a stop here. It’s a small place so almost every time, we have had a little bit of a wait. But it is well worth it! Every time we go we try something new & to this day we still have not been disappointed. If you are in the mood for some real, home made, good Mexican food, COMEHERE!

Taqueria La Tapatia is housed in a former KFC across from the Home Depot and a Popeye’s. The tacos aren’t the best nor the worst. They’re just right dab in the middle. The tortillas don’t have much flavor but aren’t too thick or too thin like the ones at its sister location, Taqueria Guadalajara on Goliad. I recommend the carne guisada and the al pastor tacos. Service is friendly. And you cannot go wrong with the price. 3 tacos and a Mexican Coke for less than $ 8. Take that Pete’s Tako House!

Tried this place again. Had to wait at least 10 min going thru drive thru. Order a papa a la mexicana. Potatoes where over cooked almost like smashed potatoes. The bean and cheese tortia was hard. I guess it still the same. I will have to find a different place.

My wife and I stopped in after noticing this place off of 37 at Fair Ave. It was around 6:45 am and we were pleased to find it was open and had a good crowd. I ordered the small menudo and two carne guisada tacos. My wife ordered a bean with cheese taco and a chorizo and egg taco. We were both so impressed with the quality of the food. It was so fresh and absolutely delicious. We live in the Dallas area and this place is by far better than any breakfast Mexican restaurant in our area. If you are Hispanic(or not) and craving an authentic style Mexican breakfast. This place is wonderful. Its not the prettiest of locations but the food more than makes up for it. We noticed all the food orders coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled great. Our food server was very friendly and attentive even though she had several tables she was helping.

Open late! The service here was not the best. It took them some time to realize that I was there for food. They kept ignoring me over and over, until I grabbed the guy on the register and told him that I’d like to order. It’s not entirely their fault, I was sitting in the«to-go» seat, wanting to eat there. But once I got their attention, things went much more smoothly. They brought out complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was red, smooth, and not too hot. I opted for the beef quesadillas. Delicious, and huge. I got three of them. They were largely apportioned with white cheese in them. They were downright delicious. The green salsa was sorta hot, but lacked any real taste. I wasn’t blown away by their salsas. The menu was pretty lengthy. The prices were quite fair! It was clean in there. They do turn a pretty good sized crowd pretty late! Not the best taqueria I’ve been to, but it gets points for staying open late. They offer a drive-through, which was pretty fast too.
