RETOX Bar

Just kind of *meh*
Went on my birthday, which also fell on a Saturday this year, and we expected it to be much busier. It wasn’t quite midnight and place was still dead. Maybe 10 people in the whole place including ourselves. Bartender did give me a free Rumple Mintz shot for my birthday so not a complete waste of my time. ;)

When you don’t feel like getting dressed up to grab a few drinks go here!

Eric is usually our bartender and he is absolutely amazing! We’ve actually become friends! He can make you anything and do it fast! He makes you feel special which is totally awesome when you’re drinking hehe

We had a really good time on open Mic comedy night (Monday). Good mix, fun comedians and good bartender. Definitely coming back

This is a good divey neighborhood bar, with a decent beer selection and a knowledgeable bartender. They offer a wide variety of games, pool, darts, and a dance floor! I really appreciated how they offer Super Mario Brothers games for free!
There’s plenty of seating, a good sized bar, with moderately priced drinks, and good drink specials.
The bartender was quite helpful, making great recommendations on drinks. We really appreciated that she was looking out for us!
The bathroom wasn’t exactly in wonderful shape, but I guess this is a dive bar, so what can you hope for on this front?
The pool tables were adequate. They seemed to have seen better days, but they worked just fine.

Great place to celebrate a birthday — thanks for being open on a holiday! The bartender, Brian, was very attentive. He also made some really good mixed drinks. VJ played later and the music was great. A lot to do here and I love the fact they have TouchTunes so you can play what you want for awhile.

good service, cheap drinks, never any fights or drama. all kinds of different music, depending on the night. its a chill place to come and hang out with friends, a date, or alone. highly recommend. only downside is the restrooms, but when I’m drinking… eh i pee standing up anyways.

This place was an excellent choice! The staff was very friendly and the music was great. Definitely a must try.

I lived near this place for about 2 years and just visited for the first time last time. It is kind intimating at first (I couldn’t see the bar and had no idea whether they are open or not), once you pass through the main door, then you will see a giant dance floor and the bar is to the left.
My friend and I just had dinner and we want to have a drink before we call it a night. I know what I want and she just wants something fruity. The bartender is the bestest bartender ever, she made her a Jolly Ranch flavor drink, and then a grapefruit drink, my friend loved both.
It was a nice place to hang out and have a drink. We left early, but I think it turns into a dance club later. Overall, great place.

Free beer at check in can’t beat that!
Great Layout for live music and over all the atmosphere was good.

This bar is pretty expansive, and there was a live band playing the night I went. The band was pretty decent, and I’d go back to see more live music. They had booths, tables and bar room. They also had a pretty nicely sized dance floor.
I didn’t stay long this night, but they have pool tables, dart things, and a few arcade games strewn about the bar. The staff seemed very good and on top of their customers and were very nice. The bathroom was a bit downtrodden but it was cleaner than most bars I’ve been to so that’s a plus.
I’ll likely be going back.

So we went here Sunday night via the Unilocal ratings, although this is a dive bar it is by far the best one you could ever go to and get an amazing experience. Eric was our bartender and he was outstanding with the mixes of the drinks to belting it out karaōke style with his partner in crime the DJ, forgotten his name but everytime my sister and I did a song he would announce us like real celebrities and the music he played was great! All different types of styles, genres and dance mixes, although it wasn’t many of us there we were all having an amazing time laughing and chatting like we knew each other and even playing a few pool games. Overall I would love to visit this place again whenever I’m in town visiting!

This place has LOTS of Potentioal… but this night was really dead. I was there with a buddy, and maybe. maybe all together there was about 15 of us in there, not counting the staff or the band. But, the drinks were made really well if you like it a bit strong that is… lol I would bet this place would be rocking if the band is! I’ll be back, but not anytime soon…

Went here after dinner at Little Italy… checked in on Unilocal and got a free drink! This place is as divey as you can get, but still welcoming and friendly. Our bartender was great and the prices were cheap! We didn’t notice the patio in the back, but we’ll make sure to check it out when we return!

This is your local dive bar that looks NOTHING like the pictures on its site. The reason it gets 3 stars instead of 2 was because every time we went we had an awesome time but it’s definitely not a place I’d normally hang out. I don’t know if the still have Rock Band set up on stage so it was like karoake but with the whole band. It was the most fun I’ve ever had at a dive bar. Also — parking is not good at all since there is another bar (Bud Lounge) that is now within the same strip.
Don’t pay attention to the pictures on the site 0 they do not depict the bar in it’s true light (in a negative way). They seem to have a good neighborhood crowd that comes in though. Just assume it’s going to be a whole in the wall place with good drink specials so you don’t get your hopes up.

I went here to kill some time between work and a meeting. I had forgotten what bars are like during the day time. I mean real bars, not happy hour at Chili’s. They can be depressing to some, but if you’re like me, they are hilarious. I love drunk people, especially when they are happy drunk people, and especially when I am sober.
I didn’t get a great feel for the bar, since it was 5:30, but the service was very good. I’m sure all eight people felt very attended to. There is a stage and a permanant sound/​DJ booth, which looks promising. There are also pool tables, dart boards, booths, and a popcorn maker. After reading that, you may think to yourself, «wow, that sounds nice!» Don’t get me wrong, Retox is a dive bar, and I mean that in the best sense of the word.

Retox is great because you don’t just stumble upon it… literally. The bar isn’t surrounded by three or four different bars. It’s all by its self and I love that. The drink specials are great and the prices of other drinks not on special are fairly cheap also. I really enjoy sitting on the patio in the back of the bar b/​c it’s quiet. Not many people know about it so it’s nice to go back there with friends. There are a couple of pool tables and dart boards on the side of the bar which is nice if you get tired of the music. Although I would say the selection of bands and DJ’s at Retox wouldn’t bore you. The other thing I really like about the bar are the circle booths that are elevated slightly in the back. The bar is really fun and I would recommend it.
