Mitchell’s Sports Bar

Not a bad joint. For the life of me I can’t figure out why it’s so hard to find a sports bar with good food, great screens and sound, and good drinks. Houston was the worst but that’s a different story.
The bartender and patrons were super friendly. In fact, I asked an elderly man next to me what he was drinking and he pulled out a recipe on a napkin from his pocket and invited me to take a picture of it for the future. Obvi, I did because anyone who carries a recipe he made up and included a little happy face at the bottom of the napkin is awesome.
As soon as we walked in they asked us what games we wanted to watch. Whaaaat?! That’s amazing.
The place feels a little bit like a den… an old den but a comfy one.
They don’t have any food, per se, but they did have a crock pot with beans and Fritos to make a Frito pie. This is why they didn’t get 5 stars. I’m a grazer… I’ll order wings… then fries… then feel bad so I’ll get a salad… then more fries. We left when we got super hungry and went to the next place… that didn’t have any food either. Finding a football watching home is hard.
On another note, we were pulled over by Castle Hills police as soon as we left. Apparently, it’s a known fact that the speed limit is 35 (no postings in sight). We only got a warning and he was a nice officer so I’m passing on the warning — drive very slowly.

Great place. Great bartenders (Brett, Victoria, Shawn and Tim) they have golden tee, a couple dartboards and a couple pool tables so it’s a good place to go catch a game or hang out

Great Place. Didn’t know it was here but definitely coming back. Great place to watch a game.

The bartenders introduced themselves and called us by name after checking our id. Pool tables are $ 1 and they have my hubbys favorite liqueur which he claims is hard to find. I was excited they had «Not Your Fathers Root Beer».
Overall, this is a pretty cool neighborhood bar that we will return to.

First time. Solid bar. The bar tender (s) were personable and attentive. Very good prices. I will come back and update again.

My wife and I just moved here from Maine and love going to Irish pubs. When we read a Unilocal review that this was an Irish dive bar we had tho check it out. We walked in and it definitely was NOT a dive bar, but a great neighborhood Irish sports bar. The bartender was friendly and chatted us up about our recent move. I’m glad it is such a neighborly place because it’s in Our neighborhood and we will definitely be regulars

Very laid back, comfortable, chill atmosphere, friendly bartenders, good service, strong drinks, and that «everybody knows your name» vibe even when you’re a traveler from out of town. Would definitely recommend. A great place to wind down, especially on a random weekday when traffic is light and it’s mostly regulars. All around just a friendly, comfortable, dive bar with cheap drinks and friendly service. Also, a Pro Tip to the reviewer who gave a $ 1 tip on three drinks… when you’re gonna be that guy and that cheap you should really just expect that level of service and bartenders who aren’t happy to see you come back, and that’s anywhere you go. Have some class, tip well and in cash, and you’ll be a welcome face every time you show up no matter where it is. Guaranteed.

Awesome super chill bar, Service is always awesome! Brett, Tim and Shawn are always on top of things! What more can you ask for?

A solid 3 stars. Tucked away in a strip mall, nice little outdoor area. Inside is cozy too. Lots of seating. Speedy service on a weeknight (except trivia night). I would return.

Good strong Cheap drinks awesome staff I always get taken care of here its nice and chill doesn’t get too busy and the friends I’ve taken here have all enjoyed it has a good crowd there never any trouble like at the thirsty horse

Thursday is Trivia Night. Fun times. The place is nice, strong drinks, looks to have loyal regulars.
Nothing to write home about but definitely a solid option if in the Castle Hills area. This is not your craft cocktail kinda place. I’m down with that.
