Food was so so but service was good. The margaritas were pretty good but not as good as other bars on the riverwalk.

Yikes. Worst dining out experience perhaps in my entire life. Caesar salad was sad. Store bought(I’d assume) Parmesan cheese piled all over it. Fried shrimp was just a bite full of mush under the batter. AND… There was a plastic bag fastener inside my mac n cheese! I told the server and he gave me free dessert. The atmosphere was super nice on a breezy balcony overlooking the river walk. Staff was really nice. But food was awful.

I tried fettuccini alfredo, strawberry salad, bruschetta. Except for the bruschetta everything was good. A good place to eat as they offer mexican as well as italian option.

Good thing the food was free with the tour because I’d be pissed if I had to pay for this. Bloody Mary… horrible. Starts out crappy and only gets worse. This place is on the bottom rung of Riverwalk tourist traps.

Fettuccine was very good — service was average, soup was average. Outdoor seating on river walk was nice.

I’m surprised that this restaurant has such a bad rating. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from on the river walk. We chose this one because we were in the mood for something other then Mexican and burgers.(which a lot of the other restaurants have). First off our waiter was absolutely amazing. He was friendly, helpful and just overall a great guy. He said he only works there a few weekends and boy were we lucky to have him. His name was John L and he made our experience a great one. The husband and I couldn’t decide on what to get so we asked him what was the best thing on the menu. He recommended something that the menu did not have on it, which was the«Shrimp Diablo». It was absolutely delicious! It was a spicy tomato sauce with mushrooms, Gorgonzola cheese, shrimp and linguini. Wow just wow! So good! I was so happy he recommended it. We also had the artichoke bake which was good too! Thank you John for being such a friendly guy. Our experience would not have been as good if it wasn’t for our waiters great attitude and for our great meal that he recommended!

Unfortunately, I was with a party of ten(visiting San Antonio with family) and there was too much of a wait at all of the TexMex places along the Riverwalk so we just decided to eat here. The food was pretty terrible! Super salty… Kind of like the food they serve you on airplanes. I think the restaurant is connected to the neighboring TexMex… the kitchen and bathroom seemed to be shared. The two stars are for the salad and the live music inside(excellent singer in the neighboring place). Sorry, just don’t come here.

Only because I can’t give it a lower rating. The food is way over priced, not for quantity but for quality! Worst I’ve ever had. Fish tacos, greasy, burned and tortilla bland; taco salad was horrific(iceberg no dressing beans or any flavor) in a shell that reeks of lard and bla. The chips and salsa was the only tasty items, oh and the beer – but they couldn’t screw that up cause it was bottled elsewhere. I made the cardinal sin of not looking on Unilocal before going in. I overheard a passer by say he had ate there and it was good. I can only say he must have had an alcohol high cause there is no way that I can see this restaurant should draw what it draws…$ 45 down the tube. An experience I hope we soon forget.

The food was vey sub par, but I’m giving this a four star because of the excellent service my group received from the waiter. We were in a huge rush and he got us in and out on time and was very polite and attentive so definitely very good for the service. The food however lacked flavor and had no umpf, no impact.

Was there with my bf for a Texas wine tour so the group met there at noon for lunch. Liked the Fettuccine Alfredo pasta although it needed more flavor. The drink was good which was a Mimosa. My bf got the beef lasagna and he enjoyed it.

This is the pesto chicken dish with artichoke hearts & sundried tomatoes. It only had 4 pieces of chicken & a ridiculous amount of olive oil. When I asked about the oil, the waiter said that was way too much, however, the manager said that it was completely correct & at least it’s olive oil. Really!!! Flavor was okay, but I was grossed out with each piece of penne dripping with oil.

For price and location is a low quality food. The saltimboca, and minestrone was too salty. The chicken tender to soggy and taste like old oil. The mash potatoes was cold. The chicken alfredo pizza was good. The local is «Italian» but the decoration nothing to remember italy. The service was good. But i guess i will not come back. Sorry.

Meh! Went late on Christmas day and was one of few options at that hour. They had Mexican food on the menu. Food was sub par, waitress served our drinks then disappeared until bill time. Someone else served food. Was uncomfortable experience as there was a night club right next door with a divider door that kept opening and closing. Pass!

We have been here a couple of times. Typically order the lasagna and we have always been pleased. Texas Winos meet here for their day trips to the wineries so that is usually why we come. Don’t forget the bottomless mimosas for $ 10!

This was very fresh authentic Italian food on the San Antonio river walk. I got the lasagna and it was amazing. Very fresh tasting. The bread was also good and seasoned. The service was good, very friendly staff. They were attentive to my need and very efficient. Tad bit pricey.

This restaurant is an absolute MESS. The wait for a table was long but average on a Saturday night. Once we were seated the service was atrocious. The servers could not get the drink order right, we were never given place settings for the ENTIRE dinner(instead we had to keep nagging the servers to give us them, and still they would only bring one or two to the table of eleven), they didn’t bring out plates for appetizers until the very end, and the spicy sausage pasta I ordered was quite bland. However, some from my table who ordered pizza quite enjoyed their food. That doesn’t make up for the extremely chaotic service, I mean it took years to even just pay the check. In conclusion the pizza was good, the pasta bad, and the service terrible. Just go somewhere else.

Horrible. The atmosphere is terrible. The food was not good at all. It all tasted like it came out of a bag, you know? The service was slow and inattentive, which was not the worst part. After eating lunch, my fiancé and I received our bill. We were charged dinner prices instead of lunch prices. We paid $ 50 for what should have been a $ 30 meal(and honestly wasn’t even worth that). And the waiter disappeared when it was time for the check. We waited 15 minutes to get it, and even then, another waiter brought it to us and ran our payment(very very quickly, didn’t even give me time to look at the bill, just yanked my credit card and ran away). After those 15 minutes though, I wasn’t about to argue with them over the bill; I just wanted to get out of there. Michelino’s, don’t give out the lunch menu if you don’t want people ordering from it. Or, you know, maybe properly train your service staff. I would never return.

If it would allow it would be a half star not a full one amd that would only be because the ice tea was brewed. Service was ok, waiter was pleasant and than the food came. I honestly felt like I was living an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. They must be Sysco’s number one client because nothing was prepared fresh.

The atmosphere inside at this place is terrible, there’s nothing in the room except tables, chairs, &2 big screen TVs. It was so loud because there’s no sound dampening in the curling you can’t have a conversation. To make matters worse there is a door leading to a bar/restaurant next door that was open the entire time with what seemed to be karaōke going on during dinner. The guy bringing out the food had no idea what went to which table & he was dressed in Adidas workout clothes. Staff also moved around tables & chairs to reset areas by dragging them across the tile floors. I ordered a salad that never came & chicken pomodoro that was under seasoned. The dish was generally bland needing more garlic & basil. My boyfriend had shrimp Diablo & he said it was just okay in the world end.
