Thinking about Mash’d? Don’t hesitate. Very cool place that we(San Antonio) are lucky to have. My brunch was so good. Eggs over chorizo and thin fries. Delish. The wait staff is awesome and on and on. Bloody Mary, mimosa. Yummy. What are you waiting for?

All in all a cool place. I was disappointed in the baby back rib sandwich, the shoestring fries were cool but, to me it was more like a pulled pork sandwich in a tomato vinaigrette. However, we also ordered the chicken and biscuits, ½ order was huge, topped with an egg and chorizo gravy and it was stellar. Also, our server was really nice and attentive. I kind of want to go back and try the short rib stroganoff

Very limited food menu. You’d think with the very few menu options the food would actually be good. Got the chicken parmesan– how can you mess chicken parmesan up?! It tasted frozen and had a Mexican style sauce instead of Italian. Very disappointed for the quality of food for the prices.

I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. Finally do when I was kidfree and I had the best service I’ve had in SA. Stephen was top notch. I even stopped his GM to tell him so. This kid is a hard worker and goes out of his way to make sure you have the best experience. I had the avocado bomb which is in nowhere lacking of explosion in your mouth. Very cool place. Found out they have a kids menu and Me and Miss B will frequent. Those bloody Mary’s cousin with moonshine will be my new jazz.

I have been here twice for brunch on a Sunday and I would have to say that i’m fan. The first time coming in we were seated quickly and the service was great. The second time there was about a 10 minute way and they utilized texting to let me know my table was ready which I thought was really cool. The server on my second visit was very nice, but was not very attentive. The Food: I have tried the french toast, and the avocado bomb with grilled chicken. The french toast is very good, but very sweet. If you are someone who likes sweets, I would recommend this. My favorite would have to be the avocado bomb. I had the smaller portion and it was very filling. Both of these meals were presented beautifully on the plates. Drinks: On the weekend when mimosas are only $ 2 expect for them to take a little time to get your drink. Just so happens that I went in on National Moonshine Day so there was happy hour all day long. The Jolly Rancher drink taste EXACTLY like a watermelon jolly rancher. It was nice and refreshing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Will for sure be coming back.

Having never had moonshine before, my husband and I decided to try out Mash’D. It’s always nice to try new or different things and it’s cool to have something like this in San Antonio that isn’t downtown. I have to say though that moonshine definitely is NOT for me. It’s pretty good in the mixed drinks though. The pineapple bomb and Sangria were pretty tasty. Our server Jorge was very helpful and knowledgable on the menu. The queso was also pretty good. I just wish it wasn’t so dark in there. Love the reverse happy hour from 9 to close!

This is a cool place with a moonshine twist. The drinks were good but weak and for moonshine it takes a lot to skimp on that. The inside was a cool design and it seemed to be very popular as all areas were full the entire night. The food was good and was served promptly. I would stay away from the beet salad as a main dish as it is pretty light for substance having just thinly sliced beets and a chicken nugget sized piece of chicken on top. The price for two people was around $ 130 for a few drinks and food.

Love this place. Been here about 4 times. I like the manhole for brunch. It’s delicious. I tried the chicken biscuits, also good but when I had it it was salty and came out cold, that was the only issue I’d ever had there and they fixed it. I’ve tried my friend’s orders of the chicken biscuits in the past and it was delicious, I think it was a fluke that day.

I’ve been here twice. Once for lunch and today for brunch. The time we came forlunch was very generically good. Fried chicken, goat cheese app, moonshine mojito? It was all good but not review motivating. Today for brunch though was AMAZING. We sat at the outdoor bar looking in drinking blood orange mimosas while a table outside freed up. They texted me when my table was ready. Super useful if there had been a long wait and you wanted to go shopping or something. Cashed out our $ 2 Mimosas & moved over. Our server Chanel was so chill from the get go. She wasn’t at all concerned that I told her I was going to drink through the menu before I ordered food. We had blood orange, peach, orange and blackberry mimosas. Also had a Moonshine Sangria. Not bad but not for me. We had the Crazy good guacamole. Then some more mimosas. Then the chicken sandwich. Which I added bacon too. No regrets. The fries and house ketchup were possibly the best part but the chicken was so moist and had a good fried batter. Honestly it was all good. But what made this a great visit was that at no point in my 3 hours of drinking there did I feel rushed to order or move on. We just chilled & drank and got a brunch tan. I was never without a drink for more than a second or two. Chanel’s service was what took a good brunch to a great experience. And at $ 2 a piece I was surprised that after splitting an app, customizing a sandwich and many drinks my bill was only like $ 35 bucks. The manager came by and I told him how happy we were, he was so sweet. I guess a customer had flipped out at him about the wait and he needed some encouragement. We got ya, Jorge. We’ll be back to drink through another Sunday soon.

This place Rocks!!! We waited 15 minutes to sit cause they were a little busy, within 2 minutes of waiting a server approached us for a drink order which has never happened to me before. From the start I was impressed. Kind of has a west coast vibe too it which is different for me but it was pretty cool! The food was phenomenal. The burgers were pretty damn good, chips and queso were awesome! I had the chicken and biscuits! It was like tiny little taste Angels were punching me in the taste buds. I’m pretty sure we had the worlds best server. Everyone from the staff we came in contact with was super friendly. They seemed like they were in love with place and wanted share its awesomeness with everyone. Super clean place with awesome food, great vibe and the service was top notch. The drinks are ridiculously good. Can’t wait to go back. This is a must visit spot.

Cool place with a good happy hour. Hubby loved his burger but we both thought the fries were way over seasoned and salty. I got the fried chicken sandwich after reading all the great reviews and thought it was just mehhh. Again, the batter on the chicken was super salty and I never even tasted the slaw or pickles. Really had higher expectations. Would definitely come back for happy hour though! And maybe an appetizer.

Nice atmosphere and great crowd. Drinks were overpriced to be just mediocre. I had the fried Pepperoni Rolls and wings to start. The pepperoni to breading/batter ratio was off. The dough was too thick for the little bit of pepperoni that was stuffed in there. The gravy dipping sauce was good but not for these rolls. Gravy + pepperoni = just NO! The sirachi-garlic wings were decent as well as the moonshine bbq, but nothing to rant and rave about. For the entrée I had the chicken sandwich, needless to say I would take Chick Fil A over this one. The chicken breast was too flat for all that bread, so essentially it tasted like I was eating a coleslaw sandwich with a little bit of chicken. The fries were good though, but it took an act of God to get some regular ketchup. Whatever dipping sauce came with the entrée was terrible. Overall, it’s a cool place to meet up with friends but not on the top of my list as a place I’d have to return too.

I’d say the main attraction here is the Moonshine mixed in all sorts of different varieties and concoctions. Unfortunately. We had a terrible experience here from the start, to the terrible inconsistent service, and drinks/food. I had high hopes because the reviews are excellent. The place is trendy and pretty packed at lunch hours on the weekends. The food is advertised as «healthy», and«local». It was not healthy. Everything was so salty and drenched in oil see my picture. There were four ppl that we thought may have been our server. We never did establish exactly who was our server. When we first got seated at a four top table with bar stools right next to the bar I was excited and ready to explore the menu options. The first guy that introduced himself told me a little about some of their menu option like the akaushi beef meatloaf, and their award winning wings. Emphasizing that the wings were baked. We never saw him again. I was sold on the moonshine wings and siracha glazed wings– they have a 8 wing option as the smaller portion. I asked if celery came with they said no but for an extra dollar they could serve carrots and cucumbers. They don’t have celery here. I said sure bc wings are made to go with some sort of veggie on the side. We waited and waited started looking around and a lady that appeared to be manager came and asked if we needed to order. We said yes and ordered the wings and a cheeseburger that has ½ lb of this akaushi beef they rave about. Fast forward some time and we ordered mimosa’s(with another gal again still not establishing who was our actual waiter) ok the little sippy mimosa’s came out you would need 3 or 4 to actually get any sort of buzz — lame. Buffalo wings came out and they looked heavily fried so I asked the guy(third person now that’s helped our table) if they were deep fried he shrugged and said I think so. I’m like um can I see the menu I thought I was told they are baked. The manager looking lady came a short while later and also was like well they are baked but deep fried at the end. She states oh that can be misleading huh? Yeah. Anyway I switched for tacos with that akaushi beef and they were terrible. Ate one taco and couldn’t eat more because there was SO much oil and salt on this plate it was almost inedible. Not wanting to make anymore fuss we just payed and got out of there. 13.95 for 3 tacos and small side of rice with no salsa. They give you a soy sauce mixture that they make which is pretty much soy sauce salt garlic and brown sugar. The tacos are scanty on meat. Just a total rip off. Mimosa are a joke, and the service was inexcusable no water refills unless we sought someone out and asked. Despite all the frustrations my husbands burger was tasty but not good enough to make me want to come back for it. No desire to come back here anytime soon.

For some reason, I always passed this place up — and I’m glad I finally got a chance to stop by and check it out! The place is known for all the moonshine they have, but everything at this restaurant is made from scratch and you can tell the cooks in the kitchen take pride in their work. The drink specials were all great, but the food was really what will keep me coming back. From the burgers to the salad, everything was extremely fresh, and well balanced. The burgers are cooked to the proper temperature you request, and the ketchup is made in house and is really very good! Great place to stop and eat while shopping at the Rim. Recommended for sure.

Excellent drinks and great food! The snow crab is the best I’ve ever had! It is a great place to go to try new drinks. The pineapple bomb was amazing. It has fresh pineapple and vanilla bean. Yum! Highly recommend this place. The service is fantastic as well.

WHATTOORDER: Bulgogi Taco, any of their drinks, Moonshine Flight, Mimosas What I Ordered: Bulgogi Taco, Flatiron Pepper Smash Reviewing: Brunch, Lunch, Happy Hour HAPPYHOURDEALS: 3−6PM Daily, Reverse HH: 9PM-Close. $ 5 five degree dome shots, $ 3 off all specialty drinks, $ 3 twenty oz domestic draughts, $ 4 twenty oz premium draughts, $ 2 off all glasses of wine. First of all, this restaurant is a pretty solid option for any meal and drinks considering that it’s a chain! It’s located at The Rim nearby a good selection of other restaurants. It has a cool interior and a happy hour menu every day! You can easily share a great meal with family and friends and hop over to watch a movie at the Palladium! The food here is on the pricier side as any restaurant at The Rim’s range is. LUNCH/DINNER FOOD: The BULGOGITACO($ 13.95) contains sliced bulgogi marinated in garlic and soy sauce with bibb lettuce, carrots, cilantro, and lemon rice. A very solid option that comes with 3 tacos if you are craving a mix of korean-mexican food. They do a great job with the fusion flavors! BRUNCHFOOD: The FLATIRONPEPPERSMASH is good for anyone who is an omelette lover. Since I’m not a huge fan of omelettes myself, I wasn’t a particular fan of this dish and wished I picked a different brunch option. My dish is a 3 egg omelet with grilled steak, pepper smash, melted fontina cheese, and grilled corn. It’s served with tomato and pepper smash breakfast potatoes and ranchero salsa. The omelette was not a good balance between egg and ingredients and the steak was on the chewier side unfortunately. The potatoes were probably the best part and I would ask for extra salsa on the side to smother the potatoes in since otherwise they’re kind of bland. MIMOSAS are $ 2 in a long-stemmed glass and you can choose from the following flavors: orange, blood orange, peach, blackberry. The peach is delicious! DRINKS: They have such an extensive drink menu — you can find anything you like! If you like trying new thinks, I recommend splitting the Moonshine Flight($ 14) where you can try different flavors. WISH: I wish their happy hour menu contained some food menu options! NEXTTIME: Will be back for happy hour and to try more of their brunch options — southern egg fries, mash’d tator eggsplosion, Benny’s Pot or Skillet(their eggs benedict)

They have a variety of delicious foods and drinks and specialize in their handcrafted moonshine. I had gone around the 3rd week they had opened and it was PACKED. We had to wait an hour for our table but that is expected. Luckily it’s at the Rim and there are plenty of places to walk around or check out in the meantime. The décor is nice but it’s really dark — I needed to pull out my phone to read the menu. We had ordered the Pineapple Bomb and I believe the Berry good lemonade. They were both very delicious especially the Pineapple bomb and they recommend their mixology drinks for those that have not tried moonshine before. I have tried straight moonshine before and I couldn’t think of moonshine ever tasting sweet/delicious. We also ordered their Serious queso with pretzel bites as an appetizer which is very delicious and we downed it before our food even arrived. That chorizo in there is so good! We also ordered the rebellious burger and the fried chicken — both were very good as well but the burger was pretty greasy. The chicken was super juicy and nicely breaded. We also ordered the scotch cake which is good as well! The only issue is that the food is realllllly heavy and I had a stomach ache because I ate so much and had eaten clean the previous week lol Other than, that I would definitely recommend checking this place out! I really like their new idea of incorporating moonshine and having something new in SA.

I came here for a friends birthday while I was on Whole30. This severely limited my options but the waitress was very kind in answering all of my questions. I ended up getting the cheese burger with no bun or cheese and a dry cesear salad with avocado added. The burger was delicious and I ate every bit of it but I’m glad I added the avocado. The only con to this place is its pretty expensive(especially for what I got)… almost $ 20 with tip for a burger with added avocado. I’ll be back to try brunch and the specialty drinks when I’m not on the Whole30.

A trendy and busy crowd to be found here especially during lunch and dinner but there is no wait at the bar which is where we ended up being so we could avoid the 45 minute wait. Service at the bar appeared to be slow but the guy that was working behind the bar was actually on top of his game with everyone. My drink a ginger rail was refilled before it even got to the bottom. The crab and shrimp volcano was surprisingly a tad sweet but creamy and delicious. I was expecting a kick of spice hence the name but that’s not at all what I got; nonetheless I was not disappointed. The open faced blackened salmon was cut into half which was perfect as I shared it with my friend. The salmon was perfectly blackened and the sirracha sauce gave it exactly the kick I was looking for which was delicious.

I came here with a bunch of friends on a weekday night around 8. It was pretty packed, but we waited around 15 – 20 min for a fairly large party. SO i am pretty impressed with this new«moonshine» themed restaurant. DRINK: All of their drinks contain moonshine. I got the one with pineapple! It was sweet, semi-strong, and a great finish! I could easily drink 2…(bad idea) We came during happy hour so the drinks were 2 or 3 dollars off I believe? FOOD: Ribs and it came with mashed potatoes and the ribs were fall off the bone GUUD. It’s hard to please a rib lover like me, but MASH’D did great. BOTTOMLINE: My indicator of a good night: semi-buzzed, good laughs, and a clean plate/full belly! Overall, it was a great night with friends! Can’t wait to come back!
