Highly disappointing and overpriced for the quality of the food. Was really excited to eat here but when our food was brought out to us the ribeye was cold and the Caesar salad wasn’t even made with the right lettuce and barely had any dressing on it.

Am always impressed with the food and atmosphere at this local restaurant. The burgers, the fish, and chicken dishes are freshly prepared. This lasr time, i had the specialty shrimp cocktail and it was DELISH, succulent shrimp, just the right mix. Highly recommend.

There is obviously no other business that does«less» to go out of their way to even crack a smile in anyone’s direction at this place. The food was ok, and I am being generous at best. While close to my home and lovely décor, the atmosphere, friendliness and jovial spirit is equal to that of a funeral wake. Good luck.

Had dinner here with a group of co-workers. We sat outside on a nice evening, and the ambiance is definitely nice. Service was fairly attentive overall. As for the food, I sampled the Big Rock beef fajita nachos and fish and chips. The nachos were quite good, actually constructed piece by piece, rather than thrown onto a platter like so many of them are today. The ingredients were good quality, with cheese that actually tasted like — gasp — cheese, and tender, marinated steak. I piled the jalapeño slices on mine, and it made for a nice starter. My fish and chips were pretty good, but not what I’d call«outstanding». The batter to fish ratio was a little high, and the fish itself was a little short on flavor. The fries were fairly standard but were OK with ketchup. Overall, this was a decent meal in a cool place, and the nachos and ambiance were probably what pushed this up to a four star rating; the main course was solidly three stars.

I’ve eaten here on several occasions. However this is the first time I had their Rotisserie Chicken Salad sandwich… wow! Must get it! With Sweet Potato fries! The service was good and the ambiance is very nice but casual. Great lunch, dinner or HH spot!

I’ve been to this location before and have always enjoyed their food and service but unfortunately this past Friday the service was horrible. Our waiter Ernesto was just horrible. He took a very long time to take a simple drink order and even longer to even bring us our drinks. Our waiter Ernesto completely forgot about us to the point where I had to get up walkover to the front desk and ask for a manager after our he served me a raw chicken fried steak with stone cold mash Potatoes. This is very disappointing considering the fact that I have always recommended and loved this restaurant. I understand that one bad employee doesn’t make a bad company and I will most likely continue to go there but I would never recommend our waiter Ernesto to anybody.

Decided to try Stonewerks Big Rock Grille @ the RIM. I saw it in the RIM shopping plaza several times and then I noticed it was part of the Hilton HHonors Dining program. So I thought I’d give it a try late on a Saturday night since they were still serving food. First time my food came out it was wrong; not really the bartender or even the cooks fault. I hate when a restaurant lists what comes in/on a particular dish, but then there are things that are not listed in the menu also. So after sending it back and recooking it; The Greek Flatbread; it was almost 11 before I ate. The Greek Flatbread didn’t taste that spectacular. hardly any chicken; im not sure it was even baked. Oh well; I gave it a try. Prices are a little steep; $ 17 for a flatbread… I might give it another try sometime. but will defiantly be ordering something different.

Where do you go if you have a party of 30 gals for Galentines day? Stonewerks! The staff was extremely accommodating and the table was ready on time. Naturally with a party this large it takes time for everyone to get their food, drinks and bills. Despite the chaos, we had two waiters(unfortunately I can’t remember their names) who were super polite and helpful the entire time.(Note: we had this party on a Friday night when it’s extremely packed at the Rim.) Aside from that, I had the Baja shrimp tacos and they were delicious and flavorful. It comes with a side of beans that had some meat in it so I didn’t eat those due to dietary restrictions– it doesn’t mention it on the menu so just ask! I will definitely be back here again!

The food is just okay, subpar for what they charge. Service is slow and there’s really nothing going for to deal with it. I feel like the chain has a lot of potential, but I always leave disappointed. Go somewhere else, locally owned, with cheaper and better food.

I ordered the Fish Tacos which were pretty flavorful; I would have given them 4 stars had it not been for the $ 8 bowl of «thick cream» that was described as their delicious«Frappucino Ice Cream Pie». It came highly recommended by the hostess and was described as their most popular dessert. What I received instead, was a half inch thick slice of ice cream that barely even tasted like coffee. What made this even worse is the fact that it was COVERED in a 2-inch thick layer of tasteless, thick, cream — not whipped cream either. It was awful!

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon thinking they would have happy hour. NOPE! No happy hour on the weekends! We had a drink anyway so we weren’t rude people. The food looked good so we will have to come back and try it soon!

We can’t figure this place out … Cuisine, target demographic, ambiance… It’s not consistent. This is our 3rd time visiting SW — 2x to this location &1x for the location near 281. We’ve not sat in the dining room, only bar & patio so maybe it’d be a different experience but after 3 visits I’m confused. The bar area plays«Vegas pool music», as in rap & hip hop; it may as well be a club. The TVs showed a poker game, men’s gymnastics, & a car race; surely there were other things on TV… We asked for a few different baseballs games & they could only come up with the Houston /TB game(Hello, it’s baseball season!). The patio has a live cover band, they sound great — the music genre is 80’s, 90’s, country, classic rock, current pop. The music is so loud though, we had to move into the bar because I couldn’t even talk to my husband. So I like the idea of a live band but it needs to be turned down a notch. By the time we left people on the patio were screaming over the music. Now, the guests in the bar: this is the first time we weren’t the youngest. There are women wearing strapless mini dresses and guys wearing loud shirts with suit jackets and their best jeans + boots … There was the table next to us with a complaining group of girls, about some boy the entire time with«f*ck» as every other word … There was a family of 6 with kids the teenage kids glued to their cell phones. Who is this place geared to? Outside I saw families with young kids but it was mostly older couples(again, over dressed). The dining room was being sat with families — mostly dressed like it was a fast food place — ratty jeans, basketball shorts, butts hanging out of shorts. Others were dressed in a presentable manner but the food isn’t cheap here, why dress like slobs? On to the food, our first visit it was bland and we decided that it wasn’t our job to season our meals with table salt, that cost $ 12+ each. The service was awful too(empty glasses sat for way too long, dirty plates sat around). We took a break for close to a year and then came to this new location. The food was better — ceviche was delicious and only $ 9; the lamb burger had great flavors unfortunately crumbled apart making it very difficult to eat. We also had the crab stuffed mushroom caps, a very delicious appetizer. Okay, so this location had better food for sure. There is also an extensive drink menu and a good amount of beers to choose from. The bar service(at the bar & high tops) were a huge improvement as well. This most recent visit confused me with the ceviche(I ordered it last time as well) — it had so much lime I actually started to tear up — it was sour! The fish was edible but over marinated. Oh man, I had to stop eating it fortunately my husband said he’d finish it. I don’t know what happened this time; end of a batch, someone not being careful with measuring … Who knows. My husband got the 10 naked wings and they were yummy. Huge pieces of chicken and flavorful sauce(there are choices). We then split the Kobe sliders(3), also delicious. The menu has a lot to choose from, almost too much in my opinion. Go in hungry though, the portions are decent. I’m still skeptical on seafood like oysters, in Texas, so I haven’t tried them yet. I must mention this: a woman went up to the bar and said her drink didn’t have enough lime juice … Okay, fair statement(I should have given her my ceviche). A server(older woman, bleached hair, assigned to the patio that evening — we saw her coming & going consistently) was next to her, grabbed a straw & did a taste test(plugged the end of it and sampled what was in the straw)… Didn’t ask if she could — just straight up did it. The server said«tastes okay to me» and walked away. What the what?! The bar tender apologized and added more lime juice to the drink. My husband and I just sat there totally shocked. Ok, so weird thing in the ladies bathroom last night. Only 1 stall had toilet paper(out of 4 I believe). I didn’t realize this but it was not too late, I moved to the stocked stall. Now, there was a group of girls who seemed to be 10 years old possibly younger. They were slutting it up in the bathroom — applying heavy eye liner & lipstick… Pulling their shorts up to let their butts hang out and tying their shirts so their stomachs showed. What the what?! Each time a person went to an «empty» stall they’d laugh, I finally decided to tell newcomers that only 1 stall had TP. The girls glared at me and got pissed! I figured out they took the TP& threw it away(the girls sucked at whispering). Again, what the what?! Who has that much time to unroll all of it… I informed the hostess stand and they took care of it immediately — followed by the group of girls being escorted back to their parents. Bravo SW, Bravo. So yeah, it may be cougar town, a sloppy family diner, a casual date place, or chuck e cheese all combined in to 1 place. Go & decide for yourselves

I love this place. I can’t believe it only has 3 stars. The service is great the food is phenomenal and they have live music on the weekends. Try the calamari. They have a signature sweet chili dip that goes perfectly with the calamari. In the winter, there is an indoor and outdoor fireplace. TV’s inside and out so you won’t miss the game. It’s a chill environment. Me and my fiancé make the 20-minute drive just because we love this place.

Went after work and sat on the patio — great weather. They also have a great vibe going on out there. Waterfalls and fireplaces with hockey playing. I had a watermelon mojito ANDMANWASITREFRESHING! Fresh watermelon muddled. Our server was very polite but could’ve been a bit more attentive. I had the Rotisserie chicken and it fell off the bone — delicious. Overall GREAT dinner.
