Logan’s Roadhouse

Jaime provided great service, our food was delicious, and came our quickly given it being a Sunday afternoon and we were overall satisfied with our visit.

I’m giving 2 stars because of their bread and happy hour prices, other than that I have been dissapointed not once, twice but three times in a row with their steaks. It doesn’t matter what cut I get or who I’ve come here with but they cannot seem to get the cooking temps down correctly. I once came with a group of 10 people and every single person had their steak either tremendously overcooked or undercooked. Their only saving grace is that they do try to make things right only to bring out another poorly cooked and not to order steak. When I ask for medium rare it should be a warm red center, not a brown flavorless dry piece of meat. We will make the extra drive to go to Texas Roadhouse where they’ve never cooked our steaks wrong.

My fiancé and I went to Logan’s on Friday night as a celebration to our anniversary. We were seated shortly after we arrived although they were busy. But when it came time to order our drinks, appetizer, and dinner, that is when the waiting began. We spent over an hour waiting for our dinner to arrive to the table. Our waiter brought us only one serving of bread and only refilled our drinks once during our entire meal. When our meals arrived, my steak and grilled lobster were overcooked and my fiancé’s burger was also overcooked. The only option that was offered to us by our waiter and the manager was to either eat the dinners or wait once again for them to re-​cook the dinners. We chose to eat them considering how late it was getting. We were not even given a discount for our meal being subpar. This will be the last time that we come to this location. We get better service and better quality of food at the Jones Maltsberger location.

Went to a late lunch and ordered the 16oz Prime Rib. When I got my plate, I had received an overcooked end piece with the pink mid-​rare plastic tabs. I asked for some horseradish, which our server forgot about. When she checked back, I informed her that the steak was too well done. When I she brought me another piece, it looked again cooked. Having worked in the restaurant industry for so long, my thought is that perhaps the prime rib was not ready and instead of telling me that, they cut off a second piece and flashed fried it. (No Thanks)

I want to love Logan’s so badly. I really do. But the food quality is atrocious and it never gets any better. Steaks are like pieces of leather, never cooked right, food is consistently dirty (hair in it, random flecks of gunk like it was dropped, etc) and gross. My kids love going there, but I refuse to go back until they improve their quality of items. I will say the wait staff and the manager are friendly, and try to deal with the horrible food issues as best they can, manager apologizes profusely and tries to make it right. But you can’t put a pig in lipstick, ya know?

Went out for a family dinner. Young lady (hostes) up front was very unfriendly. Not at all the smiling face you want to front your restaurant. Waiter was great, but food was not worth it. I got the grilled meatloaf. It was cold and salty. The broccoli was raw and cold. Everrything tasted like it came from the microwave. The rolls and peanuts were good though. For $ 100, to feed 5 people, I expect better.

Have been waiting for a table for an hour. A little girl spilled her drink inside the door and it has taken 15 for anyone to consider cleaning it up. We have been telling people to watch the Sprite so they wouldn’t slip and fall.
We are now at the two hour mark waiting for our table. Would someone please explain to the teenaged hostesses that if they continue to seat small parties they will never save enough room for large parties. How much money is a party of twenty going to bring in? How much are you going to lose when we walk next door.
Three hours in and we have drinks. They are out of Coors Lite, chips for the queso and only have well done prime rib. Who orders well done prime rib? It’s supposed to be served rare!

Though I have long been a fan of Logan’s, recently things have changed and today’s experience proved those changes are not worth my time and money. First, the chain changed its menu which meant the prices went up and menu items were not as comforting.
To follow the new menu and higher prices the food quality took a nose dive. Quality of preparation, taste, and finesse have somehow taken a back seat leaving a mundane and bland food in its wake. Not to mention poorly executed such as over cooked steak or cold meat on a steak salad.
If that was not enough, the wait for food to arrive was extremely long. Maybe the food errors would have been negated had they brought it out sooner.
Overall, the food was low quality, service slow, prices high, and ambiance poor. Sadly I believe my days of eating at Logan’s are numbered.

My husband and I stopped in at Logan’s for none other than Salmon… which they have on their 2 for $ 14.99 menu. So we asked for the Salmon and our server stated that they had no salmon and that none of the Logan’s were offering Salmon due to some dispute with the distributor. «Really; no way that is why we came in.»
I am a pescatarian, and I know what you’re thinking, why go to a steak house for seafood, but their salmon is really good and at the price we were expecting to pay is a really good deal. I had lots to do that evening but we were talked into ordering the shrimp on a skewer; (Not on the 2 for $ 14.99 menu).
The shrimp in our opinion was under cooked so we both sent our shrimp back to cook longer. Neither one of us was happy with the shrimp when it came back; my husband decided to eat his but truly did not enjoy it. I decided not to… are we on camera? A manager came to our table and asked us how we liked our food. I let her know that I didn’t even after it had been brought back to us. She informed us that we had been misinformed about the salmon and that it was available on the menu. Huh?
I was offered to wait… for the salmon, I really did not have time but I waited; when it came out it was great, but I really did not have time to eat it so I asked for a to-​go box. Unfortunately we were not given the $ 14.99 price; but my shrimp dish was taken off my tab.
Suggestion to management; please inform your staff appropriately before they deliver bad news regarding menu options, and then all of a sudden let your patrons know that our menu option was available on the menu.

Disappointed. The pork chops were warm (but fully cooked) the Ceasar salad was bland to the extreme (had all the essential ingredients to be classified as Ceasar but didn’t have pepper or anything else to make it good. And to top it off they were out of croutons. I resisted asking them if they knew what a croutons was and knew how easy it was to make their own… anyways this is our official last visit. Their pepper steak was hot and tasted good and the zucchini fries were also commendable. All this is not enough to bring us back. Oh yah. The wait staff was great just the food is not up to parr anymore. Avoid.

Just an awful experience, was hoping for a cheap, decent meal, instead received an expensive, tough, and barely edible steak. That shouldn’t be allowed in Texas. This Logan’s is in such a convenient location to Alamo Ranch but it is not worth the convenience. I will never be back. If I could rate negative stars I would. So awful.

Best steakhouse I’ve had in the area. The rolls are amazing. The meat is really good. The sides are all good. And the salads are really good! Best of all, the prices are super good, especially with all the food you get. I like the atmosphere here too.

I got two meals for 14.99 deal. I got the chicken fried chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and broccoli. When she had brought it out the portion is great! The waitress was very friendly and was on point with customer service. The meal tasted good in my opinion. I would definitely go there again. Oh the rolls were very delicious. Hot and buttery

Ate there last night with my gf. I forgot what she had but I had the BBQ ribs w/​grilled chicken. They were both delicious, enjoyed how the meat easily came off the ribs. I also ordered Garlic parmesan wings, I really enjoyed those also.

Our Caesar Salad was not not that great. I remember when their salad rivaled my favorite Caesar Salad from the Outback. The vegetable skewers and mashed potatoes were ok. It being a Sunday afternoon we didn’t expect to wait very long for anyone to take our drink order or for that matter for anyone to even acknowledge we’d been seated. Service was subpar all around. Not sure when or if we’ll go back.

I walked in and there were NO peanuts on the floor! Not too happy with our waitress, she needs to practice her customer service skills. I got the buttermilk chicken, which was ok. A huge piece of chicken and not enough gravy. My bf got the fried cheese bacon burger. The fried cheese gushed out everywhere an mad a mess but he said it was good. The bread was really good also.

This was me and my mom’s first time at a Roadhouse. We had AMAZING service, our food was cooked exactly the way we wanted. There’s nothing much else to say really. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. I’d go back.

The food here is not spectacular BUT the service is great. We were expecting the steak to be phenomenal simply because we live in Texas now and Texas practically invented steak. I wasn’t disappointed in steak but I can’t say it is the best I have ever had in my life. It wasn’t so bad that we won’t return but I am certainly going to hunt down better steak places.

I’ve updated to three stars because the regional manager contacted me about the visit. To me, this shows that management cares and that’s important. I don’t know if that will be enough for my wife and I to visit again simply because of the amount of similar places in San Antonio, but it’s not completely off the table.

They have an awesome chicken salad. There is never a long wait during the work week lunch rush.
