Fred’s is Fred’s. This location you literally order through a hole in the wall. There is a few tables to eat there, but I’ve never seen anybody eating there. They always cook the food fresh when you order, so that’s good. The shrimp are good sized as are the fried oysters. Fish is a little thin, but always decent. Good place to get a family order for a good price.

I couldn’t even order… there aren’t any low-cal options or at least healthier alternatives here. Off to try Neptune’s! My rating system: 5*= Driving across town just for this! 4*= I would recommend visiting. 3*= Average, acceptable, positive. 2*= You might be able to drag me in. 1*= I will definitely not be returning.

Who writes a review of Fred’s? Me. I was of the opinion that Fred’s is some sort of money laundering operation. It is not, of course, a money laundering operation. The service was amazing with a greeting when I walked in, solid descriptions of the platter options, please and thank you. The fish, however, is complete fail. The meal was the worst thing I have ever eaten. And I spent my first six grades in a Catholic school with cafeteria ladies. Yep. That bad. You have been warned. Great service; disgusting food.
