Really good tacos here. Staff is friendly and courteous, always refilling that coffee cup! Consistently good. Seems like they get better with each visit

Just had the worst experience here !! The food was mediocre quality. But worst off I was charged for avocado that was supposed to come in my taco norteno. When I tried to explain I only asked for what was in there she said there was avocado on my taco. I said no that’s why I asked for it. She said well they gave you a side so I’m charging you for it. She was extremely rude accused me of trying to steal something I pd for and said I don’t care if you never come back. Ok. All over a side of what was their mistake. She said she was the owner. She’s also dishonest and rude ! Keep your filthy restaurant !

They don’t have everything here, but what they have is delicious, topped off with excellent service Green Chile enchiladas are my favorite.

Picadillo is really good. They used to serve breakfast all day and have stopped that. The fideo is great and they sometimes bring that out for free. The waitresses«uniforms» are a bit inappropriate and the place could be cleaner but over all a good place to eat.

Great food. Inappropriate clothes for waitresses. Good service gets you good tips too ladies and management. Update on 2÷5÷2016… Asked for 1 bean & cheese, 1 potato and egg. Got a bean & cheese, potato & egg in one tortilla… That customer service though.

Our offices just moved in the area so we are having to find new places for breakfast and lunch. A client told me about this place so we decided to try for lunch one day. Called in the order and how wonderful they have a drive thru. I got the Mexican shrimp cocktail which was very good although more crackers would have been nice but everyone else seemed happy with their food. I decided to stop for breakfast tacos and boy was I glad I did. I decided to step out of my comfort zone(bacon, potato, and egg) and try the papa and chorizo taco. One of those good bad moments. Good because it was so frigging awesome that I can’t get it out of my head, and the bad, I now have an addiction. So if your going to North Star Mall I suggest you stop here for breakfast. PS I get two Papa and chorizo tacos for $ 3.12 which is what I was paying for one taco at the place I used to go. Love it and I can’t say enough. Oh and by the way nicest bunch of employees always greet you with an energized good morning very kind and polite.

Hey, it was just breakfast tacos through the drive through and it was my first time here. I just finished both of them and the verdict is like Tony the Tiger says, «They’re great!!!» I ordered the potato and egg along with a second taco(chorizo and egg). Both were on delicious flour tortillas. The flavor was wonderful and at a weekday morning special price of a buck apiece, they are a great bargain. Service through the drive through was quick and unlike other restaurants I’ve gone to, the bag containing my tacos wasn’t all wet at the bottom from the grease. A solid mom and pop place! I can’t believe I haven’t given them a shot in the nearly two decades I’ve lived near them. Like the Terminator said«I’ll be back.»

Made the mistake of coming inside after going through the drive through a few times. Slow service? Check. Scantily clad waitresses? Check. Shitty hip hop blaring from a juke box at 10am? Check.

Pretty tasty food but the service and management was below poor! They charged us for extra food we didn’t order and refused to take it off bill. Manager had very poor professional skills and grammer, fighting with customers like she was in high school. Just lost a customer for not having integrity and principle. Good luck to that restaurant.

Mini tacos al pastor were yummy along with the charro beans that came with them. Boyfriend got chicken fajita plate. The meat wasn’t the best, but it was ok. Salsa was ok, although too hot for me. Overall, everything was pretty good. Got food pretty fast and service was decent.

It was good, it was fast, and it was cheap. I’d go there again.

First time here. Decided to pop in and try it. Self seating, had the eggs and bacon with a side of potatoes and refried beans. I love hot crispy potatoes and they did not disappoint. I cleaned my entire plate and with the good food and good prices I’ll be sure to try again.

Food is always great but 7÷7÷14 I went for lunch with my mom and 3 daughters and our server seem to forgot to wear a skirt… How do I explain to my 10 year old all the glitter in the face and just a shirt barely covering the butt as an outfit? It was 2pm on a weekday. Unfortunately I will not be going back.

Tacos have been great, love the tortillas, although today the potatoes weren’t cooked through all the way. Can’t say I won’t come back, I just won’t be getting potatoes again.

We just recently moved back to SA and I was pleasantly surprised to see this place was still here! We moved out of state in 2008 and at that time, this place was one of my favourite little Mexican restaurants. Now… not so much. The food is still good, though they do not serve breakfast tacos after 10:30 anymore, so I was very disappointed that I couldn’t get my papa con huevo!!! I had the barbacoa taco(it was alright, a bit dry) and a carne asada. When we got the bill, they had charged me $ 1 extra to put lettuce and tomato on the carne asada… seriously? The taco itself is only like $ 2.30 and you’re going to charge $ 1 for bits of lettuce and tomato?(My husband and I returned another date and each had two carne asadas with lettuce, forgetting about the upcharge… Literally $ 4 extra, 56% of the cost of the tacos was lettuce and tomato. Such a ripoff). The next visit we were in time for breakfast and it is not what it used to be either. The eggs were super dry and crumbly, and the potatoes were chopped into tiny pieces and overcooked so that they were crunchy(and not in an appealing way). The thing that put me off the most was the servers. The waitresses are all scantily clad, which I understand… it brings in more customers(sex sells, right?) but there is a limit to it… I don’t want to see someone’s butt cheeks peeking from under her skirt, or watching waitresses struggle to keep from having a wardrobe malfunction while balancing a tray of food. This is a restaurant, not a strip club. Also, almost all of these waitresses are in their mid to late 30s or older, so they’re not the 20 something’s you’re hoping for. On the plus side, they do have a full bar! But these three recent visits have been enough to convince me I don’t want to go back.

Happened upon this random little Mexican Restaurant when we were driving down San Pedro. It was a Sunday morning and I was craving some GOOD breakfast tacos. El Potosino is really cute, lots of seating and got busier as the time progressed that we were there. Coffee was DELICIOUS! One of the best coffees I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the barbacoa plate which consisted of hashbrowns, refried beans, barbacoa and flour tortillas. Barbacoa was good, but was pretty dry and I prefer it to be a bit more moist. There was really no flavor there at all. The salsa helped add a bit of a kick to it. The bf ordered mini tacos(which were delish) and also ordered menudo, I’m not a fan. he said the menudo there was not very good. Overall, a cute little Mexican restaurant, if you’re on this side of town — check it out. I would probably come back.

The feeling of a Mexican family run restraint with decent food. Worth a stop. I have been coming on a regular basis for breakfast now for some time. I have to say this place has grown on me, literally, because it got an extra star for this review. The service here is good. The waitresses are very nice and prompt with everything. I give them high marks for almost always remembering my order. This just reinforces that family feeling.(I know this first hand because my grandparents are from Mexico and my grandmother cooks all day. Nothing will beat her cooking.) The food is good here. It is authentically made Mexican food. The menu offers some very authentic dishes and I recommend you try them. I am usually here for breakfast and have not seen disappointed yet. The house-made hot sauce is very good! The prices here are also spot on! Bring the whole clan, your wallet won’t hurt too much. Some if the sights here are very entertaining. My favorite is at 6am watching all the guys drink their beers before they go to work for the day! Yeah… it happens.

Great breakfast stop on the way to work. Love their options and willing to please. Best breakfast tacos, plentiful and full of flavor. Drive thru is fast even when busy!

A decent, utilitarian place for more authentic style tacos. I got a couple of tacos al pastor, which is a style that I fell in love with in LA. These were really good. The only negative I found was that they used flour tortillas as opposed to the more traditonal corn ones. I ordered my son a qesadilla kids meal that included rice and beans. He liked it, but he probably would’veliked the kids taco dinner better. I ordered though the drive through so next time I go I’ll eat inside.

Authentic Tex-mex, with a full bar! They have a good number of lunch specials daily, a good sized meal for $ 5,99 with a free tea. Not a bad deal at all! The only problem I had with the place was that it took 20 minutes to get my food. I was starved. They usually serve chips and salsa with lunch, but today, since it was so cold, they served up complimentary fideo in the salsa bowls. Their salsa was a green sauce which was fairly hot, and had a decent taste. The portions were huge. I love the waitstaff– they’re friendly, fast, bilingual, and even though it was freezing outside, they still wear skimpy outfits. Love it! They have great drink specials every night of the week. Ladies night is Tuesday. Thank me later.
