I’ve always like it. Never had bad service but then again that’s not what I look for when going here. Just getting my tamales and getting out before anyone sees me and realize that I’m about to eat 1 dozen tamales in one sitting lol

Poor customer service , Lady in the front didn’t greet me and when I asked questions about the food since it was my first time the response was rude and tamales were very greasy i got sick. Won’t be going back

Great tamales, very bad customer service in the front, the cashier was having a conversation on her phone while a line was forming, paid for my tamales but waiting for her to finish her conversation before she was willing to start packing up my purchase. Very Rude, especially when your spending a pretty amount of $.

This is the WORST establishment I’ve ever encountered. I wish there was an option to give zero stars because this place deserves zero recognition. Their customer service is a complete joke and they do not deserve your business. None of their employees, nor their manager, understand their policies and why they are in place. Do not waste your time here.

These tamales are greasier than a Frenchman’s mustache. That said, they’re tasty. They were smaller than I expected but they sell them by the dozen which makes up for it. I’d recommend this place unless the grease is a deal breaker for you. It actually kind of helps if you’re planning on reheating them later, I warmed them in a pan and the masa crisped up a little. Bonus! Pepperplant Sauce = NO

Awful. They are greasy and slightly larger than a roll of quarters. Threw away the entire dozen.

The couple dozen of tamales(spicy pork) my husband picked up a couple of weeks ago were dry and tasteless. The masa literally crumbled into chunks while trying to eat them. Delicious Tamales are no longer delicious. :-(

Yuck! I always heard delicious tamales were one of the better places in SA to get tamales at. WRONG! They were greasy and grisly :(Both my son and I, the only two in our family who consumed tamales from here got so incredibly sick after eating them. I would not ever recommend this place, ever!

I went here after being told Delicious Tamales had some of the best tamales in San Antonio, TX(plus, I had a hankerin’ for some Mexican food that day). Small, to go only shop with a variety of tamales. My favorite, Jalepeno Chicken. Had enough heat to it. Great customer service with a smile. Try ‘em out next time your ridin’ down Nacogdoches.

I don’t wanna sound mean but this is by far the worse tamales and barbacoa I have ever tasted. Greasy, flavorless. Barbados was just as bad, I don’t understand what these san antonions are eating if they think this food is good. Awful!

I stopped by here after seeing that it was in the same complex where I was sent to pick up cupcakes. I noticed that it had the same name of another tamales place near my house — off Foster Road. So I asked the two ladies behind the counter if indeed they were affiliated. One lady rolled her eyes and chuckled. And the other lady frowned and said, «ex mother-in-law»…Oh! Mama Drama. So even though they have the same name, the Foster Road location isn’t part of this group. As for the tamales, they must have shared recipes. Tasted pretty much the same. Other Unilocalers have mentioned how greasy it is. They are correct. So my favorite way to warm it up is to throw it on a hot skillet and get the outside all crispy. I know that’s not the traditional way to eat it. But give it a try! While not the best tamales I’ve ever had, they’re doable. So if you have a hankering for cupcakes at Choco Patisserie, stop by Delicious Tamales. Dessert and dinner in one trip :)

Greasy and delicious. The tamales itself are pretty thick so you get a good amount in each one. The dozen is already prepacked and ready for you to pick up and go. I was in and out in less than 2mins. ***There is no seating area this is a pick up only spot***

Most Texan Unilocalers will agree there is no better holiday food than tamales and my family has been getting ours from Delicious for years. This location is just a store front where you can order and purchase, there’s no café to dine in. But we order them by the dozens and feed a very large family at a pretty decent price(about $ 6-$ 8/dozen depending on flavor). If you’re in the market for holiday tamales, place your order early because everyone else in the city will be doing the same and they run out quick during busy times. You can choose either pick-up or delivery(but for delivery, your order will be shipped out, it’s not a place to call and place and order to have delivered in under an hour.) This definitely makes a great gift for anyone who has moved out of state, as they will ship nationwide to anyone feeling homesick for good tamales during the holidays! I love the flavors with jalapenos: pork, bean, and chicken. But they’re good even without and you can even try sweet dessert tamales, though I’ve never had any here so I can not attest to the flavor. But for the savory varieties, you’ll get delicious meat wrapped in perfectly steam-cooked masa. They are just greasy enough to taste good but not so much that it’s dripping down your open. In a word: perfection. There’s a reason this place consistently wins awards for having the best in town and I don’t disagree at all. With a name like Delicious you have a lot to live up to but these tamales do their name justice!

I love those tamales and so does my wife. Dont let the questionable location deter you. They are to go, so grab yourself a dozen or two and enjoy.

YUMYUMYUM!!! I absolutely LOVE the tamales from this place!!! I order about 8 – 12 dozen at a time and put some in the freezer for when folks come to visit. Every time I go see my folks I have to bring Delicious Tamales to their house, along to their neighbors, and to their church friends. I am up to 2 coolers filled with dozens of tamales from this place every time I visit my folks. What I enjoy most about their tamales: they are gluten-free! No worry about food allergies for my family members. I highly recommend the tamales from this place!

I LOVE Delicious Tamales. They truly are the best tamales I’ve ever had. I’ve been eating them for easy 5 years. My GF never liked tamales but when I took her to TX and we went to Delicious Tamales she fell in love. I think we eat about 10 a piece haha. I can’t wait to go back! Don’t forget it’s not a sit down place!
