Enchiladas were delicious … Rice was more like a pilaf … My sons pizza was extra crispy borderline burnt but he seemed to like it. Server was very nice and kept our drinks filled was busy during lunch but everything came on a timely manner. 2nd time I’ve been to this location. Good service here

This is the worst Chilli’s I’ve been to! They always get your order wrong, forget to refill your drink, and the servers can be rude! Go to 54th St next door instead if you want better service and if you want your food made right. My date is done with their meal and I’m still waiting on my order!!!

I’m normally a big fan of Chili’s but this location leaves something to be desired. I’ve been there several times waiting for a table when people who have a large party but only 1 – 2 of them have show up get seated first. When I asked the hostess how long the wait was she was pretty rude and ended up walking away and causing a waitress to have to try to seat people. The service is hit or miss here because sometimes we have a good server and then like the last time we went there we had horrible service where it was slow it took over 30 minutes to get our food after we had ordered. I watched people who had been seated and ordered after us get their food first. Even our server said he didn’t know why the food was taking so long. It’s definitely a place where you don’t know whether you’ll have a good experience or a bad one.

My wife and I order take-out from or dine-in at this Chili’s at least twice a month and have done so for about the last three years. We have eaten most items on the menu in that time(except desserts). If it wasn’t a good restaurant we would not keep going back. The food is hot and delicious, flavorful and filling. Take-out is usually ready right on time and we have always had an attentive server when dining in. My particular favorite is the wings over buffalo with bleu cheese dressing. They are mouth-watering and satisfying. They are medium spicy and tangy. I love them, and I have eaten buffalo wings many places in San Antonio. Only two or three times of the perhaps over a hundred times I have ordered them have I been disappointed, and I would say most of those times it was because the dressing wasn’t fresh. The burgers are also always delicious and made to order. They usually come with seasoned fries which are tasty and fresh, but I often substitute seasonal veggies or their delicious beans. My wife really enjoys the fajitas and the Pick Three Mexican plates. I have never heard her complain about the quality or freshness of any of the items, and she always gets the enchilada soup as one of the options, so I know that is a good option. I would give this restaurant five stars if it were not for one really important detail: accuracy. Far too many times(more than 50%) have we ordered(does not seem to matter whether dine-in or take-out) and there is something incorrect. Occasionally it is innocuous and easily fixed, such as getting ranch dressing instead of bleu cheese or missing a side salad. However, it happens often enough to mention that an entire entre or appetizer is simply not what we ordered. A burger might be a Swiss mushroom beef burger instead of a plain Oldtimer with a black bean patty. Instead of beef tacos we might get chicken tacos. When it happens, it is usually similar to our actual order but different enough to require a remake. I imagine this is some mixup in the kitchen, such as switching our order accidentally with someone else’s similar order, but I cannot be certain. We have to make a habit of checking our order thoroughly every time, and that’s a bit unfortunate for a restaurant that is otherwise great. I will say this: they have improved on this part over the years, but maybe that is because they recognize us as regulars and we are good tippers.

For being a chain, the food was decent, however everything else was not! From the sticky table and crusty touch screen thing, to the disgusting menu, and the floaters in my cup, I was thoroughly disgusted. To top it off, the waiter had little to no knowledge about my order, couldn’t get it written down correctly even after I corrected him 3 times, so my meal was still incorrect when it finally got to me. He pretty much ignored my table, I had to flag him down for refills which he promptly forgot about and condiments that were missing. By the time the stupid mustard arrived, my burger was cold and the meal was unpleasant. We hightailed it out of there after paying and won’t be returning until competent wait staff is hired.

I frequent this Chili’s often and have never left upset is disappointed. In my opinion, though I’m typically fan of big chain food establishments, the idea in them is that they are consistent and you should be able to get consistent food and service anywhere they have a location, in Chili’s case anywhere in the country. That being said, there are always those locations that are sill surprisingly horrible and it makes you wonder how the corporate heads let that slide. This Chili’s location is not one of those — it’s one of the good ones. They have an average greeting staff, nothing bad but no complaints really. Their wait staff however is typically top notch; very attentive and friendly. On occasion the food can take a bit to come out but this is typical in any restaurant. I’ve never left feeling like the meal/service wasn’t worth what I paid for it. I also like that they now have stewards program that is actually pretty decent and also have the wireless kiosks at each table for you to pay instead of having to wait for the waitress to bring your tab back. As I mentioned before, we go here often and will continue to unless something changes in their quality.

It had been a while since I had been to this location and was pleased with some of the new décor in the restaurant. I had my first try of their tacos(spicy shrimp, chicken and carnitas). Overall it was a good experience. Chicken may have been a little on the«too soft» side, but the flavor was good. I got more shrimp in the taco than I would have thought, so that was a nice surprise. The rice and black beans that came as sides were flavorful. Definitely could have used more beans as I really enjoyed them! Next time I will add a dessert, just to make it complete.

Went to chilis at this location 9:32 p.m. Give it another try got disappointed the last time even more disappointed this time. Waited about 5 minutes for somebody to offer to show us a table. Waiting on two other tables of about 8 people I guess just two of us wasn’t worth the effort. Had to get up and go find our own silverware and napkins ended up with kids meals and crayons. Ordered chicken enchilada soup and quesadillas. Waited 20 minutes waitress came out and said oh they just told me there is no more chicken enchilada soup. Sadly enough the quesadillas were overcooked also too long on the grill. Young lady in a Brennan High School sweatshirt came out to clear and bus the table next to ours took her 15 minutes to do a three minute job because she kept having to stop to play with her cell phone and text her BFF. And then she left everything swept up in a pile on the floor and never came back. Never did see the manager while we were seated. Tried to use the little kiosk gizmo on the table to check out that didn’t work. Caitlin our waitress stop to help three little old ladies use their kiosk to check out and while she was there she did the survey for herself. Amazingly enough all of the button she pushed were on the far right side. So much for a pat on the back. Found the manager on the way out tell them what I thought of the fabulous service and the wonderful food. Actually I told him his service sucked and the food wasn’t that much better. I also told him that if I ever wanted Chili’s again I would go down to Bandera and 1604 to get my my chicken enchilada soup because I was never going to his crappy Chili’s again

Waited 45 mins for our meal. Steak fajitas were so dry and tough that I couldn’t eat them. Low quality grated cheese and low quality corn tortillas made the meal a horrible disappointment. My son had the chicken strips and didn’t eat 1 because they were very greasy. My daughter had the kids sliders, which were cold, dry and over cooked. My husband’s burger was cold and everything(bun, patty, cheese, bacon) seemed to be of low quality. It feels like they are charging restaurant prices for microwaveable frozen processed food. The only reason I gave 1 star was because our waiter was attentive and helpful. We will never go back.

Horrible. Few times I have came in have been ok. This last time was enough. I do only go to this location because it is convenient. I went after work for food and drinks. I asked to be sat in the bar area. As I’m waiting I hear the hostess telling other employees«she asked to be sat here.» She tells the server as well. Ok I’m understanding, I was going to tell her«hey I see you have a lot of tables and by yourself I’ll just move to the main area.» Well she never acknowledged me and as I was sitting I hear her say«who ever is sitting people in my area not cool/sucks.» I grabbed the menus text my bf he shows up and we went to BJs across the street. Unfortunately for her I always tip very well and since I planned on food and drinks well drinks always make me an extra nice tipper! But I guess the waitress has enough $$. Oh tried calling management(which I never do) and 1st time a snarky girl answered pretended not to hear me and hung up. I called again next day waited 20 min. And I hung up. Mind u I called early @ 11:15am I doubt it was packed. They open at 11am.

This review is not at all based on the service. It is based on the restaurant and their choices itself. I have to give this chili’s a poor rating because it has really gone down hill. The quality of the product they’re serving has declined. I want to focus on the Chicken Ranch Sandwich & the Tip suggestion on the Kiosk. I use to get this juicy thick chicken breast and they have now downgraded their quality to a sliver of chicken that is now equivalent to the Hot & spicy chicken sandwich from Mc.Ds. The fries are served in a metal basket to make the illusion like you’re actually getting plenty of fries but it’s a way to serve you less but still jack up the prices and not to mention the awkward rectangular plates that gives it a «upscale» modern touch that definitely not part of the chili’s brand I grew up with. Also the Kiosk had a suggested tip amount, at first glance I thought this is cruel to the server cause I usually tip more than that BUT now that I think of it the suggested tip percentage is misleading customers. I decided to leave an even # being 19% of the bill but the amount is WRONG! I did not read any disclaimers stating the tip suggested is actually more than 20% of your bill because of… Yady Yady Yady. Idk if I can bring myself to go back to Chili’s anymore even though it’s was a staple for me growing up. Oh one last thing would it bankrupt the restaurant to get a side of salsa with my order of spinach dip and chips? Pictures included to prove I’m not over exaggerating

Service is slow!!! Not impressed with the amount of food cons eidetic the price. Stood at the front for about 8 – 10 minutes before anyone showed up to greet us. Had to go to several other tables in order to get sweetener for our tea and ketchup. Long time in between visits from our waitress. Not high on my list for a return visit.

my husband and I went to this location around 3:30pm on 10 Dec 14. We waited for at least five minutes after walking in the door before anyone bothered to acknowledge we were there. We ordered an appetizer that was good. However, when we received our main course, both meals were cold. I ordered the Shrimp pasta and the shrimp was so overcooked And touch that the fork wouldn’t even go into it! I sent it back to be remade and had to put it in a to go box because my husband had finished his entire meal before they fixed mine. When we went to pay the bill using the kiosk, the«suggested tip» said it was 20%, but the amount shown was actually 25%. I don’t mind tipping well, but I don’t think misleading people about what a 20% tip really is should be happening. Horrible experience, will not return to this location.

This place is a joke. They have lost their whole damn mind with these prices!!! Someone needs to give them the memo about their watered down lemonade and mediocre food. I don’t know who told them to jack their prices up but until they bring them back down this chick won’t be back.

Indeed. Chili’s has changed. Like the Obama administration, I’m not sure it’s for the better. They’re focusing on appearances instead of their food and hiking the prices while our eyes are turned by their fancy little gizmos. The Triple dipper has gone up nearly two dollars. This would be ok if the portions grew accordingly but, sadly, they’ve decreased visibly. At this particular store, the service is poor. The hostess didn’t greet my family, and took over a minute to ask«How many?» In an accent so thick I could have had that for dinner and been better satisfied. Our waitress then took nearly 10 minutes to ask about our drinks. Food itself then took a fair while to appear. Just a sad day shift. Food tasted pretty good, though. Hope that no one spit in it after my mom asked about portion size.

Chili’s is usually a solid experience where we can go out with friends and everyone with different diets(paleo, carb free, etc) can find something they like to eat at a decent price. Sadly, after about 6 months not eating at this specific location, my husband and I have discovered that this particular Chili’s has turned into the type of place you should steer clear of. First, let me outline a month ago — we ordered two burgers from Chili’s to Go. I went to pick them up and had to wait. When I got home, I discovered that while my husband’s burger was correct, mine was the SAME as his, which was a $ 5 cheaper burger. Also, both were very cold and poorly constructed, even for To-Go standards. With bad traffic and a long drive, I consigned myself to eating the incorrect order, since driving back for a correction would have cost me an hour. When I gave Chili’s feedback using an online survey they sent me for the order, I was surprised that they fully apologized(from the district office) and sent me a full refund in the form of non-expiring coupons that we could use at any Chilis. Fast forward to tonight, when we went out with 4 other friends to this Chili’s for dinner, assuming the dine in experience would be better. We ate at 5pm, well before the dinner rush, and the restaurant was in the 25−30% full range. We were greeted by our waiter«Thomas» after being seated very quickly. I say his name in quotes because unlike the other servers we could see, Thomas was not wearing a name tag. Unlike the other servers we could see, Thomas was also incredibly and undeniably high on some sort of drug. I’m talking red eyes, rushed and laughing speech, and the smell of weed. So, after taking our drink orders, Thomas disappears for around 15 minutes. When he did finally return, he had his hands full not only with our orders, but several tables. Upon reaching us, he declared that he forgot what we ordered AND which sodas were which. Thankfully, the game of «guess that drink» was sorted out without any mix ups. He then disappeared again for some time before coming back to take our orders. Now, we had a simple order — no appetizers, two of the meals came with appetizer salads, and only one small side substitution from one of the dishes and bacon added to a burger. Nothing fancy or demanding. Cue to one hour later when our food finally came out, all at once. Mind you, in this hour we only saw Thomas once, when he refilled my water, but for some reason no one else’s at the table. No other waiters or managers were visible this hour. So, what did our food look like? Well, the Guacamole burger was served without guacamole OR bacon. The Salmon dish had the salad that was a substitution(not as an app, with the meal) but was completely missing the broccoli that it was supposed to have and the salmon was BURNT to an absolute crisp on the bottom. The steak that was supposed to be Medium was completely rare in the center(moo) and the Buffalo chicken on one of the salads and a soup with another dish were both noticeably cold. Over HALF of our food went straight back to the kitchen. No apologies(except from a female waitress who helped carry out the food and looked mortified when she overheard the mistakes). Now, it took close to a half hour for the food to return — the steak wasn’t replaced, it was simply re-charred(up to medium, but now all dry) — the broccoli came out before the salmon — the burger was a bit rougher for wear after getting the guac and bacon it needed. The rest of us were so hungry after an hour wait we ate our cold food. The kicker — a manager saw ALL of the food issues when it came out, and never said a THING. Not an apology, not even an acknowledgement that anything wrong happened. Then, when we got the bills(we were splitting the bill) from Thomas, he was joking, laughing, and telling us what a great waiter he was for being able to group our orders correctly. Except he didn’t, so everyone had to correct him on what went together. Also, he double charged one of the bills after taking over 15 minutes to cash us out(from the register RIGHTNEXT to our table) and had to redo it. Needless to say, between the botched To-Go order, horrible service, and lack of any responsibility by management, we have no intention of frequenting this specific Chili’s ever again. I am more than willing to go to other locations, but unless you want substandard service and food, Avoid this location like the plague.

This is definitely not the best restaurant that I have been to, but the plus side is that is usually not crowded — especially on weekend nights when the 151⁄410 or bandera/1604 chilis have a 30 minute to 1 hour wait. I came here last night(Friday) for dinner and my boyfriend and I were seated in less than 5 minutes, and our server was fast and polite. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta and my boyfriend ordered the Smokehouse Jalapeño Burger. Both of our orders came out fast and tasting delicious. My boyfriend also ordered a Coronarita, which he said was pretty good. Some other things I really like about Chili’s: 1. happy hour — cheap drinks and appetizers! 2. the coupons you get when you sign up for the E-Club. Once in awhile I’ll get a coupon for a free appetizer if you order an entrée — this works out perfectly for my boyfriend and I. We order one of each — share everything, get the appetizer for free and bam we’ve saved $ 8 – 10 easy. My favorite appetizers are the Southwestern Eggrolls or the Nachos! Favorite entrees: Bacon Ranch Quesadillas and Crispy Chicken Crispers. Dessert — you can’t go wrong with Molten Chocolate Cake!!! Delicious chocolate cake with a gooey-yummy molten core, topped with scoop of vanilla ice cream, encased in a hardshell chocolate casing and drizzled with caramel. This dessert is AMAZING, the end. I’ve read other reviews about the cleanliness of this restaurant — I’ll admit it’s not the cleanest place, but you really can’t beat the prices and convenience.
