Lots of great improvements! They have a screen with rotating list of beer on tap and an actual menu. The prices are more in line with what you expect for pub grub. The menu has expanded which is also nice to see. I appreciate the kids menu for the nights we being the kiddos along. Pretty chill atmosphere and a great music selection.

I had heard great things about this place. Maybe I visited on an «off» night. The beer was warm and the food disappointing. Service was fine. It was a Saturday night and our table was the only one that ordered food.

Luv this place. Great selection of beers and some really awesome food. Thursday’s are always a plus with glass night.

Amazing food. I had the Bacon Mac N Cheese and it just oozed of delicious comfort food. Mad Pecker is an up and coming craft beer brewery in San Antonio and it is amazing at how good it is already succeeding. Jason is crafting small batches of beer that are super fresh and delicious. They have chef Dominic Ramos for all of the food and it is all delicious. Why wouldn’t you wanna come chow down on some craft beer and badass food?

Bad customer service. Although it was a busy night, the waitress came by once to check on our table after we ordered food. Did not give us any napkins and the Pizza was mediocre. Although we had only 1 beer… this place has a good beer selection.

Local craftbeer hangout love the tv with Spurs playing. Sometimes they have live music the pizza is usually on point and very tasry. Sometimes service is slow but very friendly especially Ray. Patio is nice had a medal exchange there during Fiesta medal season and it was also glass night, there was quite a crowd. Definitely have become a regular here

Wow this place is a hidden gem. Our expectations were blown away. The fondue was wonderful and the service was on par. Very clean and well maintained. The beer selection appears to be extensive. I’m no drinker. Mad Peckers may very well become my to go for pizza. A fresh made from scratch pizza. Good good stuff. I rarely highly recommend but here it is

Great beer. Fantastic food! Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because service at the bar was a little slow but worth it. Flatbread w/beer cheese fondue… yummmm and the messy pecker fries were to die for. Definitely my new to go spot!

Yes, yes, yes. Food is great and everything is made fresh in house. The pizza is amazing, especially after having a few amazing beers that are brewed in house!!! Love this place. Going to another brewery down the street made me really appreciate Mad Pecker even more!

Cheesy breadsticks were pretty good. Chips and salsa, chips were good, salsa tasted like tomato sauce and the cheese dip reminded me of what you get at a baseball game on nachos. Our burgers were on the wrong plates, so we had to swap food with each other. Burgers were of good size. No ketchup, mustard were offered and no «greens» come with the burgers. I’m glad we tried this place, but doubt we go back for anything more than a drink.

Food is subpar, carnival quality. Beer selection is ok, but no menu. You have to read them off the marque. Probably won’t come here again. :(

I’m so glad that the far west side has a spot like this. MP has about 18 – 20 beers on draft, and they are always changing. No domestics on draft here, just delicious craft beers. The bartenders are awesome. Very informative, encouraging their guests to «try!» new beers. They also have dozens of beers in bottle. Their menu consists of bar food, pizzas, sandwiches and snacks. We’ve tried the pizzas and they are pretty good. The outside patio only has a few picnic tables and it’s pretty much right in front of the parking lot. That’s pretty much the only thing I don’t love about this place. AND… it’s kid and family friendly!!! Craft beer and sense of community in my ‘hood, makes me a very happy beer drinker.

Maybe my expectations were too high as this place came highly recommended from some friends. I had a flight of beer, and then 3 different pints on top of that. Out of that many, I only found one that was ok. The food was good, not great but good. I had a burger and my wife had the fries with Mac and cheese on them. Those were good and I would recommend trying them if you happen to visit. If you are looking for a place to have a couple drinks, I would have to recommend one of the many different stops in this area.

The wife and I wen there last night. We liked the facility as it was nicely painted and provided enough room to walk around. Most of the tables were full but it wasn’t so packed that it was non-inviting. We had the Guns and Oil first and it was a good brew. A bit of a dry finish and not too overbearing flavor. We ordered a 12″ supreme pizza and the beer cheese fondue bacon burger. Both were very tasty and a good amount of food. The fries were really good too. We had the new beer they just released which I don’t remember the name of but it was an IPA that was very good. It wasn’t too harsh up front and had a slight fruity finish. Good stuff. The staff was great and prices weren’t too bad. Our bill was about $ 50 for the food and 6 beers total. We will be coming back again and always like to support a local business.

A coworker told me about this place and I decided to try it after recently relocating here from Maryland. I made it for happy hour and the waitress was perfect in offering her selection of beer. I asked about happy hour specials and was pleased when two generously filled tacos came out. Great service and a great beer. Could not have asked for more during a happy hour. Oh btw, great deal on delicious pizza during happy. I will be back.

I was not expecting the family friendly atmosphere or the better than average pizza. Overall we enjoyed a nice dinner and the selection of craft beers. We will be back. Not affecting the review, they offer a discount for teachers, I wish I remembered to tell our server.

Mad Pecker’s has a down to earth vibe and lacks the pretensions other places have. The decorations are sparse, but they have multiple TVs set up around inside. I went at around 4:30PM and parking wasn’t an issue. There weren’t very many people in there at that time, but there seemed to be more than enough seating to accommodate a large number of people. The staff was friendly and attentive; within moments of sitting down at the bar, someone came over. I’m not from San Antonio and am unfamiliar with the brews in the area, but he was able to help me pick one easily. I told him I normally drank Dos Equis and he recommended the Bombshell Blonde. His recommendation was spot on. As for food, he recommended their burger, which I also found to my liking. It was served medium-rare, so if you like a well done burger you should probably make that clear. The food took a bit to get to me, but the wait wasn’t intolerable. It was an above average bar burger, and the fries were great, too. The only thing I’d say to watch out for is the construction traffic that can sometimes make it difficult to get into their parking lot. The head guy is pretty active and affable without being in your face. If you have a problem or concern, I’d say to bring it up to him because he’s a rather agreeable guy. If you come in there, count on talking to him at least once; you can tell he values delivering good service, and that quality definitely rubs off on his employees. Overall, I think Mad Pecker’s earned a solid 4. I think they have a solid foundation to build on for the future, and should definitely begin to look at improving the look of the place. If you’re looking for a variety of local beers and great bar food, Mad Pecker’s has it and the staff will ensure you have a good experience.

There are two things about this place: 1) They are not technically a «brewing co» as they did not have any beers on the menu that they themselves make. 2) I’m not sure what they think poutine is, but their«Texas Poutine», while delicious, was not in any way, shape, or form a take on actual poutine. That being said, this place is more of a sports bar as there were games on each of the screens and they seemed to have their regular crowd. They had a decent selection of local beers on tap from the $ 5 and up per pint range. Their menu was basically pizzas, which looked good, but I wasn’t sure I could eat an entire 10″ pie, so I went for their posted special of «Texas Poutine». What this turned out to be was a sort of amalgamation of sausage bits, sliced potatoes in gravy that had a chili kick to it. It was tasty, but was definitely not poutine as there were no cheese curds that I could see, the potatoes were more of the sliced baby red variety rather than fries, and the gravy was more light than the dark that is usually found on poutine. The staff was nice, offered to make beer suggestions based on my preferences and I was attended to quickly sitting by myself at the bar. I don’t know that I would be back as there is so much to explore in the SA brewery scene, but I could appreciate this place for what it was and what it wasn’t.
