Food was just amazing. The people stayed on top of us with the meats and the mashed potatoes were the best. But it’s very expensive

Amazing service, superior management. Thank you for making a special occasion even more wonderful. We celebrated Father’s Day here and it was superb. The Brazilian Steak service was exquisite. The prime rib was my favorite! They have a live traveling island spirits bar with flammable drink service. The presentation was an experience all on its own. Thank you to our server John and the parallel service team who made our experience top notch!

Everything was really good here. I would highly recommend a visit. Nice evening out, but not too formal or too casual. Filet mignon was definitely our favorite!

Ron Swanson would weep tears of joy… Let me start off by saying the atmosphere, staff, quality of meats and deserts is the cat’s pajamas. Every waiter must’ve been through meat carving college because the portions are perfect to preference. A few life pro tips: 1. Fast throughout the day before eating. 2. The salad bar is amazing, but don’t be seduced as you will eat less meat. 3. One of the few places I’d recommend desert. Best crème brûlée west of the Mississippi.

What a great experience! Not my 1st visit, but they’ve obviously stepped up what was already one of the best restaurant experiences in San Antonio. As before, a very pleasant atmosphere with excellent, high energy. Salad bar was beautifully stocked and a staff member asked if you wanted special dressings or fresh cracked pepper after you filled your plate… that’s new! I liked it. As before, the wine list is value priced; not much more than grocery store prices, which is highly unusual when dining out. The table staff was super attentive and anticipated our every need, yet we never felt smothered. Importantly, a clean plate was placed in front of me as soon as I finished my prior plate. The meat assortment was varied and well prepared. And, just tell the gaucho you like something & it soon re-appears…now that’s service. Oh, and the staff will offer horseradish or chimichurri sauce to compliment your meats, something I had not experienced before; a great addition. Dessert was tasty; I had the mango cream, my wife had The Godfather(a powerful, but tasty sweet liquor drink). I highly recommend both, but not the drink if you have to drive. It’s that strong! From the staff who opened the entrance door to the manager who visited our table to return our paid check, everyone was focused on «above & beyond» service with a smile. Five stars & well deserved!!!

This is my families favorite place to celebrate anniversaries and birthdays. I think this Brazilian place is better than Texas de Brazil and Fogo, but that’s just my opinion. The food is excellent!!! Come with a HUGE appetite.

5 star? More like 10 Stars!!! Service is exceptional. Wonderful but small salad buffet. Meats brought to the table were all wonderful, I personally loved the lamb chops. I wish there was some shrimp — and maybe different choices of chicken, but overall great meats. A party of 4 and we were there during local prom– still provided excellent service.

What amazing service!!! If you want to be treated like royalty, you should dine here! I had made a reservation and unfortunately due to traffic arrived 30 minutes late and I was still seated within 5 minutes of arriving. At first I was worried because we were seated in a side room but we always had servers at our table circulating and bringing us what we needed. They even had a staff member at the salad bar to dress your salad with balsamic vinegar, olive oil and fresh ground pepper. The salad bar has a nice assortment of pre mixed salads and charcuterie. I appreciate that they have a wide variety of meats including filet mignon, prime ribeye, top sirloin, chicken, lamb and pork. For side dishes they have loaded mashed potatoes, fried polenta and caramelized bananas. They also offer rice, beans and French fries on request. Everything tasted great! I also had the chance to try their Brazilian lemonade which is nice and refreshing. At $ 44.50 per person this definitely wasn’t the most frugal meal but it was quite a treat! P. S. The servers work as a team, but it was Jennifer that definitely made our dining experience special. She deserves a shout out :)

I’ve been to Texas de Brazil before, and this place knocks it out of the park. I always forget once you flip your card to the green side, the meat won’t stop coming. My favorite was the ribeye. SUPERDELICIOUS. Bacon wrapped chicken was moist, and the sausages were flavorful. The Italian salad was great as well, along with that cheese bread(not too sure what it’s called). My water was never once half full, the manager always checked on us, as did our waiters. I can’t say anything bad about this place. It was nice that the manager was on the floor helping out and making sure his employees and customers both were doing okay. I’ll be back!

This place is probably the best Brazilian steakhouse in San Antonio, but not in Texas that title belongs to Chama Guaucha in Houston. You see in Houston they also provide grilled shrimp on the menu which is amazing! I use to live in Downers Grove, IL and had Chama there it’s also good but not like Houston. If San Antonio gets the extra items that would make them 5 starts. The service is amazing. Food always good. But I always feel like I’m missing something after visiting the Houston location.

I absolutely loved this restaurant. My boyfriend and I, along with another couple, visited this steakhouse on a Sunday for lunch(We are from Austin) and it was fantastic. I have dined at Fogo De Chao and Estancia Churrascaria multiple times and Chama Gaucha is now my favorite Brazilian steakhouse. The service was outstanding. The meat was perfect. The salad bar was delicious. I think I ate my weight in Picanha. The Carajillo was a great drink to end my meal with.(Dark coffee liquor YUM!) I seriously can’t wait to visit this steakhouse again.

Hands-down love this place. From the service all the way to the food selection. Their drinks are on point. Even down to the cheese bread I will rave about this place. My favorite was the filet mignon and all of the cheeses at the salad bar. I’m a cheese fanatic. Definitely have to try this place out if you have not yet done so. It was funny to me because every waiter that came to our table seemed to have some sort of accent. Actually liked it but I’m curious if that’s really their accent.

My first experience with a Brazilian steak house was here. It left a mark! The salad bar was so great, I couldn’t get enough. The lemonade was amazing! Probably the best I’ve had. But then came the meat, it was all so good & we ate until we could eat no more! And such a fun atmosphere!!!

What an experience. My husband and I visited Chama Gaucha on Valentines Day and what an experience! My review won’t be much different than the others. The entire dining experience was spectacular. My only complaint throughout the entire evening, was that while waiting for our table, we went over to the bar. The bartender asked us to have a seat, and a cocktail waitress would be right over. We sat for several minutes and were never acknowledged. I was a bit let down. Luckily, we had reservations and our wait was very short we were quickly escorted to our table. The food was amazing. The salad bar was beautiful and the cheese selection was decadent. We skipped dessert in favor of Ben and Jerry’s but maybe next time we will try that. Aside from the bar area, service was impeccable! We will definetly return again!

We just love Brazilian BBQ and this one was another solid winner. The salad bar was extensive(which is fairly common) but was lacking any hot food or soups. The meats were perfectly seasoned and often available in both medium and medium-rare, the latter of which helped to make my servings moist and tender just the way I like it. The side dishes include(among other things) an almost addictive doughy roll that falls in the«betcha can’t have just one» category. What made this place stand out though was the constant level of service from every staff member within line of sight. Everyone here is watching the level of your glass of water or whether a particular cut of meat came by when you were in «No thanks» mode. Service plus plus!

This place… is BOMB My review is just one of 500 positive reviews, so I’ll keep it simple and include some tips. If you’re coming Friday or Saturday, make a reservation!(Doable online via Open Table) There’s a super nice waiting area with a bar, but chances are you’re probably starving and all the chatter and clinking of utensils in the very far back(oh trust me, you’ll hear it) of customers will make your stomach growl like crazy! Don’t starve yourself all day. Knowing that I was eating all you can eat STEAK for dinner, I wanted to get the most out of my money, but knew what I had to do. Drink water and soups all day and don’t skip lunch! The salad bar is amazing. It’s possible to just eat salad and no meat as a dining option. It’s that good. Try the artichokes and the fresh mozzarella cheese. And the sun-dried tomatoes. The customer service here is top notch. My waiter put my napkin in my lap as I sat down. Some guy poured balsamic vinegar for me at the salad bar. Clean dishes are switched out often. Finished your cheesey rolls? Here’s a new basket. And the guys serving the meat… so much patience and no judgement from them. It’s a pricey dinner($ 45 per person for dinner) and not somewhere I can afford to go to often, but for special events and the occasional trip, this place is fantastic.
