Hello??? I see people, people at the counter, people scooping ice cream and the doors are closed and the closed sign is on the door… YOU are supposed to close at 10:00 yet here I stand at 9:30 on a Saturday night during Fiesta with a whole slew of people needing ice cream. Hear us chant, WEWANTICECREAM!!! Hello Bluebell Listeria!!! There’s a major ice cream shortage and you CLOSEDEARLY. So duchy… Inexcusable.

It’s Ben & Jerry’s so what’s not to love really? I only wish it was a bigger location so they had more of the yummy flavors to choose from! The only reason I gave 3 stars is because the young man working wasn’t very friendly, he was just sort of there, if you know what I mean. He just stood there and waited for us to tell him what we wanted, no greeting or suggestions or anything. Although that seems to be a common occurrence in most of the Riverwalk establishments, and a sad misrepresentation of southern hospitality. The ice cream is pricey, but it’s Ben & Jerry’s and it’s in the middle of a tourist area where everything is expensive, so not a big surprise. Get the Phish Food! It’s scrumptious!

Seruously, Ben & Jerry’s is some of the best ice cream ever. Being able to get it in sizes that don’t make me feel guilty? Fantastic. Great service and friendly staff.

Stopped by while on the river walk and it was well worth it. The cookies and cream was excellent! I will be driving all the way to downtown next time I want some ice cream.

Enjoyed our new favorite flavor, Americone Dream on a beautiful evening in San Antonio. Dillon was very personable, and helpful when we picked out t-shirts… I just couldn’t resist the«Alamoo» logo!

Crowded little shop in the touristy heart of the Riverwalk, always packed with people trying to get their Ben&Jerry’s fix on. Available flavors cycle through almost as often as the wave of sightseers do. It’d be nice if there were more available seating outside to be able to enjoy your ice cream while people watching or watching the Riverwalk. Heck, it’d be nice if the interior of the shop were bigger to be able to fit everybody inside though too! There are many other more authentic ice cream shops around SA that provide a more comfortable eating experience and a more authentic flavor but this is an experience in itself as well. Come here for the experience of eating Ben & Jerry’s outside the pint, out of your pajamas and in public.

Door was locked at 7:30 pm on a Saturday and employees were inside. We knocked and they shooed us away like we were bothering them(no hours were posted). Walked by later and sign said«closed for restocking.» Could have done without the rude treatment. Haagen Das gets our business now.

We visited this location on Memorial Day weekend, during evening hours. There were 7 people ahead of us and another 5 behind us and the line moved soooooo sloooooow because there was only one girl working and go figure, the people in front of us wanted milkshakes. She was also making each waffle cone to order which seemed silly but I guess if you’re swamped you do what you gotta do. As we were paying I asked her why she was the only one working on such a busy holiday weekend and she told us the other person called in sick. So everything made sense. Felt bad for the poor girl, she was working her butt off but she seemed to handle it all ok. Oh, and they didn’t have the mint chocolate chip flavor I wanted… but hey it’s ice cream, you can’t really go wrong with any Ben & Jerry’s flavor.

I had such a great experience at this Ben & Jerry’s. There were two people behind the counter. One of which, a very nice guy. He gave me a hard time with my indecisiveness, but definitely let me try pretty much every flavor there. I went with the coconut and the berry. It’s small in here and I find the prices pretty standard with every B&J. I really like the Riverwalk, and can’t wait to visit San Antonio again.

A very small shop, which can get very crowded on sunny days. There’s a pretty limited selection which is too bad since Ben & Jerry’s makes some pretty good flavors. There are also only 2 small tables to sit at outside, so plan on eating your ice cream while you walk and enjoy the Riverwalk.

We all love Ben & Jerry’s, but this is not one if their better shops! We stood there watching a girl doing something with the ice cream for a couple minutes, not even acknowledging our presence, until We finally asked if we could order. She didn’t look too happy about it. Then we proceeded to order based on the tags on the case, only to find that all 3 of the flavors we wanted were gone! We then paid way too much for our last place choice(which for Ben & Jerry’s is still good). Only after we walked out did we notice the ice cream shop only steps away… No wonder THEY had a line!

I love Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream. This shop is a little bit hard to find. It is above the Hard Rock Café. Once you are there you have the usual ice cream parlor experience. They have fun flavors along with the traditionals. The ice cream is expensive as far as ice cream goes. We did find a little secret. We use Four Square and my wife checked in and found out that if checked in then the second cup of ice cream was free… This is a good reason to use Four Square! One thing I didn’t like was how small the store was, it was crowded and there were no more than 6 people in there. Also when you got outside you had no seats. The seats that are near the parlor are reserved for a different restaurant. This really put a damper on the experience.

I’m not a riverwalk fan – not because it’s not pretty, not because of all the people, but because of all the price gouging! $ 6.49 for a hand-packed pint? I’ll take myself to H-E-B for a $ 2.54 machine-packed one, tyvm! One plus is that you can get some of the in-shop only flavors here – that is if you show up early enough. They never change their tags on the case, so even when you think you’ve hit the jackpot, you never know until you actually ask them for a scoop of what you want. The counter help here is never really helpful, and they are always more than obliged to make you feel like being a customer is more of a disruption to their chill workday rather than a desirable presence. They get 3 stars because it is Ben & Jerry’s goodness after all, but yeah, I’d suggest Justin’s instead for some local ice cream sensations while sauntering along the river ;)

Located right in the middle of all the restaurants on the River Walk, this is great place to stop for an after dinner treat. Service was ok. The two guys working weren’t overly enthusiastic but oh well… we got our scoop of ice cream and continued our journey down the River Walk with treat in hand. Love their mint chip in a waffle cone… yummy!!!
